"action news" is on top of two developing stories. more aftershocks following the earthquake in nepal. we have information on a new jersey native who did not make it out alive. >> several people survive a boat that went down in a storm. >> president obama takes the stage always the comedian and chief. chris sowers has a check of the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. >> reporter: it's a little better this morning yesterday

we were in the 30s, this morning we're in the 40, let's gets you outside and show he the cloud cover overhead. we have a spritz or spring. across central delaware. otherwise it promises to be a nice day with the return of sunshine. frost advisory is in effect for lehigh valley and upper bucks county for the next hour or two this will expire as temperatures climb into the 40s and 50s. temperature-wise we're in time 30s and 40s slatington, 37. tanersville, 43. the farther south we go it's milder with temperatures holding steady in the mid 40s at this hour. the bulk. moisture is pushing toward the southeast. maybe a quick-hitting spritz or sprinkle across central and

southern delaware over the next couple of hours. otherwise it's clouds breaking for sunshine. we're shooting for a comfortable high of 64. speaking of comfortable we have nice temperatures in time seven-day forecast to talk about, i'll have the details when i see you again in ten minutes. >> developing out of earthquake-ravaged nepal. tens of thousand of the country's residents who spent the night out door were wakened by a 6.4 aftershock. the quake has destroyed the most historic landmarks. rescue workers have been trying to we've hundreds of people trapped in the wreckage. the quake has killed nearly 2,000 people. here's what else is happening in nepal. international teams are helping rescuers search for victims in the capitol the epicenter of

the quake. the avalanche was triggered at the base camp of mount everest. one of those who died at the base camp is edison new jersey native a physician's assistant was working at the camp. four students from muhlenberg college in allentown were in the quake, they are all okay. they are studying a spring semester in asia, studying asian and tibetan cultures. >> we were able to to which a conversation over the phone, of course, wruft mothers face timed with her son in india.

"good morning america" weekend will have more coming up at 8 after "action news." developing overnight a double shooting in chester this morning, police are searching for the gunman. "action news" was there as an army of investigators and k-9 dogs looked for clues. the shooting on west third street at 10:30. police are working to figure out exactly what happened there is no motive for the shooting. more news you did not see last night. police are talking to the driver of a car that hit a person overnight a pedestrian was hit on street road at 1:30, that person was taken to the hospital in serious condition. the driver has not been arrested. police are still investigating. developing news now from alabama, the search is on for four people missing after a severe storm capsized sailboats during a regatta.

coast guard crews began the search by air and water. as many as 50 people were rescued from the water. some of the survivors talked about their horrifying ordeal. >> the storm subsided just enough to keep my head up, not drink too much salt water. >> i thought i was going to die, actually. >> i was scared, i thought the wave was keep going in, the boat was going do sink and we would have to jump in. >> the search continued through the night. there were as as many as 200 people taking part in the regatta. >> a camden teenager was gunned

down this weekend. >> reporter: jameer bullard wanted more, he was fighting to get it uses academics and the football field. >> he was my heart and nephew and i loved him to death. >> reporter: camden county police say a gunman opened fire on mechanics street at 12:30. jameer bullard was walking with this 16-year-old friend who we are not identifying for his protection. jameer bullard said run and pushed him to safety. he was hit and he didn't know it, until he collapsed. one street over saturday afternoon, jameer bullard's mother father ascertain family mourned the loss of the football star. a linebacker and running back who had dozens of college offers including one from temple university. >> is he was the one who

inspired me to start playing football. more than my big brother he was my best friend, my right hand man. >> being around certain situations at certain times that made him rebell outlines at certain things, he definitely was a good kid. >> reporter: jameer bullard's father didn't want to show his face because his killer was on the loose. a gunman who took away a teen who was weeks away from graduation and planned to change the lives of his family. >> he worried about his family, man, this came unexpected. we didn't expect this, man. >> reporter: police have not released information on a suspect, but they are trying to a motive for a shooting, anyone with tips should give them a call. in a statement last night the superintendent of camden schools called the killing tragic and supporting students, staff and family during this difficult time.

abducting an 86-year-old military veteran and his girlfriend. the couple was forced into a car. they forced the couple to rent cars and open a debit card account at a local bank in the victims' name. the couple was eventually released uninjured. the suspects are 23 and 25 years old, police say more arrests are expected. hundreds in ukraine gathered at a memorial for the women's women's of the chernobyl disaster to mark the world's nuclear power plant accident. the 1986 accident has been blamed for killing 50 people initially, but the high cancer rates in the area has killed thousands. reactor for the plant exploded sending massive amounts of nuclear radiation into the

there's the sun starting to peek through, as we look over the ben franklin bridge. this morning promises to be a nice day. all the rain with the system that we've been tracking over the last couple of days has been pushing toward the south and away from the delaware valley. 48 degrees is the current air temperature in philadelphia. but a lot cooler to the northwest. where we have a frost advisory in effect for the lehigh valley and the poconos and upper bucks county for the next hour and half. 40 degrees in reading. millville, 45. sea isle city, 47678 there's the rain that went by yesterday afternoon, for us we saw a combination of sun and clouds, again it turned out to be a nice day. 100 miles to the south it was a rainout across the southern portions of the delmarva. we have couple of spritzes and sprinkles showing up over the delaware bay region. a lot of this is very very light from fortescue to port norris reeds beach reporting a light drizzle same things with portions of kent county and dover and canterbury reporting

loved one is coming to you for help. here's rick williams with this morning's crime fighters report. >> the family of tyrone moss said he lived for his two kids. on tuesday july 8, 2014, the 31-year-old barber stopped by a friend answer house in bristol township, bucks county. we don't know what happened after that. >> reporter: around 12:45 a.m. police were called to the scene for a shooting. moss was found dead inside the home. his friend was shot, and died later at the hospital. >> if anyone knows anything, can they please inform the police we want to camp whoever did this to my nephew. >> reporter: the citizens crime commission is administering a five thousand dollar reward for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible. all you needed to is call 215-546-tips. all calls remain anonymous.

his so-called hairlts on instagram, and informing them that chemo therapy stunted his growth. >> not only was this young man battling health issues and cancer he was the victim on the psychologic side of being tormented as a bullying his message was riposted by big names. don't let anyone's words keep you from your destiny in life. >> you stood up and tall, which is we want e we want to talk about the ability to be courageous and heroism. this is an amazing thing he has done for himself and the community all the other little kids wore being bullied. he received a signed flyers hat and jersey from claude giroux.
