and evaporating overhead right now. temperatures are on the cool side as i mentioned. 52 in philadelphia but a lot of the suburbs dipping into the upper 40's. and a bit of a breeze blowing. on your smartphone app it's 52 degrees right now, 54 by 8 o'clock but then we start to improve by noon, up to 62 there. and we're going to spend the majority of the afternoon in the upper 60's. 68 by 3 o'clock and we'll actually get a high of 69 around 4 o'clock and 5 o'clock before dipping back to 68 by 6 o'clock. there's a slight risk of enhanced forest or brush fire danger today because of the low humidity and a bit of a breeze blowing. dry forest fields, too so be careful about flicking those cigarettes out the car window today. also your pollen counter is still running a bit on the high side the next couple of days. it will probably drop thursday and friday as cloudy cooler and somewhat damp weather returns to our forecast. i'll have details on that coming up in the exclusive accuweather 7-day. matt. >> okey-doke david. i think we're excited about tuesday but luckily there's nothing too exciting happening on the roads right now.

we even lost our construction here along the ramp from the boulevard southbound to ridge avenue. i still see a vehicle off to the side but we've been seeing traffic getting by headed toward ridge avenue in east falls meaning i believe that is passable now. they were doing a bunch of paving work along ridge right in the heart of east falls during the overnight hours. in the main lane of route one the boulevard things are moving well so far this morning. i would watch out for more work again by philadelphia university along schoolhouse lane by henry avenue. that was kind of a mess yesterday. and we're still watching an overnight fire location at a corner bar in west philadelphia along catherine street by cobbs creek parkway. maybe use 62nd instead of katherine. overnight work on the eastbound side of vine is gone. crews will return around 10 o'clock tonight and this is 95 in the great northeast. the crowd is just beginning to gather here in the southbound lanes by cottman. again, southbound approaching girard. along 422 this morning eastbound approaching 29 there's a crash but it's off to the side. and they're cleaning up from yesterday morning's mess in

lower providence. south park avenue shut down between eagleville and falcon roads. sunny side of a trooper road are alternates on this tuesday morning. tam. >> thank you matt. and we begin with breaking news out of baltimore. rioters plunged parts of the city into chaos. buildings have been torched and bricks have been thrown at officers. the violent clashes began at the mendow high. n mall. another hot spot north and pennsylvania avenues. the rioting was far removed from popular tourist spots bike camden yards and the inner harbor. last night's orioles game was canceled due to security concerns. erin o'hearn is live at the big board with the latest on where things stand right now. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, tam. the baseball commissioner has not made a decision as to whether or not the series will be moved out of baltimore. meanwhile we want to show you some of the shocking images coming out of the city. rioters torched a pharmacy. you can see the cvs logo right there and the smoke coming from the building.

and also police cars were set on fire rioters were also seen throwing bricks at police officers. in fact, 15 officers have been injured in the riots. many baltimore residents say their hearts are aching as peaceful protests over the death of freddie gray have been replaced by rioting looting and violence towards police officers. these riots have destroyed businesses. one community center for the elderly that was still under construction was burned to the ground. last night the police commissioner confirmed the department got a credible threat that gangs were planning on attacking officers >> we had guerilla family each group intended to kill and take out a police officer. >> this reminds me of 1968 when the riots were taking

place during the assassination of dr. martin luther king where people were destroying their own stores and properties in their own community. this unacceptable. this is not what freddie gray's family wanted. >> reporter: a curfew has been imposed for tonight from 10 p. to 5:00 a.m. and all public schools are closed today. and while the images of rioters have dominated your television screens we feel we should highlight a positive social media effort. there are reports that 1600 people have already volunteered on a facebook page to recruit volunteers to clean up the city once peace is restored. matt, back to you. >> thank you, erin. developing this morning philadelphia police is searching for the gunman who left several cars riddled with bullets. shots rang out along west jefferson street before 11:00 last night. the gunfire hit at least four vehicles shattering windows. no one was injured. we will have more on the investigation in a live report in the next half hour. >> it is 6:05.

also new this morning a blaze in east amount ton burlington county has left a home gutted. flames broke out along the 1100 block of smithville road at 10:30 last night. firefighters lacked access to water supplies in the somewhat rural area. that made the fire fight more difficult. no one was home at the time of the blaze. an investigation continues into yesterday's deadly crash involving a tractor-trailer and a tanker truck in audubon montgomery county. the two vehicles collided head on along the 700 block of south park avenue. the driver of the tanker truck was killed. that tanker truck was carrying raw sewage. the trailer's cargo drums of dry cosmetic powder middle and then ignited. crews are still cleaning that wreckage overnight. matt pelman is keeping an eye on this. he's going to let you know when that road is back opened. >> if you didn't get as much of a tax refund as you would have hoped this year, a huge tax preparer says you can blame the affordable care act. maribel aber is live at the nasdaq in times square to explain. good morning maribel. >> reporter: good morning

to you matt. yes, the affordable care act reduced tax refund by an average of $729 for some h and r block customers. the reason those block clients had underestimated their income when they signed up for health insurance. if you made more than estimated you have to pay back a portion of the government subsidy for coverage. on the flip side some block taxpayers saw an increase. rates in the state are 18 percent below the national average. this is according to the insurance quotes.com. michigan was the most expensive with rates 135 percent above the average. the cheapest, north carolina, 41 percent below the national average. talking stocks, stocks slightly lower yesterday as investors locked in gains from last week's rally. right now futures pointing to a lower open. that's the latest nasdaq. back to you matt and tam. >> thanks maribel. see you tomorrow. >> yeah. all right, so, little better today. it's going to be bright and sunny and we're going have a

little warmer temperature in the afternoon. storm tracker six live double scan right now shows us there we're dry. heading outside on sky six skies getting bright down by the shore and elsewhere. down by the coast there's a little additional cloud cover still trying to filter out but we are in general seeing this evaporate rather nicely this morning. 52 degrees right now philadelphia. we're still at 50 in wilmington. we have dipped into the upper 40's in millville, dover trenton, allentown and reading. but these numbers will be turning around and heading up before too much longer. there's the overnight cloud cover really just fading off the map and evaporating with dry air dropping down out of the north. up in allentown today we are going to see a high of 68 degrees, lots of sun. it will be a bit breezy. might want a jacket even at the height of the afternoon warrants but not a bad day. down the shore next to that cool ocean water 63 degrees, mostly sunny and it will be cooler in atlantic city. in philadelphia not bad. 69 degrees some urban centers like center city could even touch 70 today. we'll have mostly sunny skies a little bit breezy, though,

at times with winds running from 12 up to 25 miles per hour. and as we roll through the day we're still cool by 8:00 in the mid-50's there but up to 60 as soon as 11:00 and then by 2 o'clock 67 degrees and 69 degrees by 5:00. i think we're going to strike that high around 4 o'clock and then just kind of hold it for an hour or so. keep in mind that if you are spending extended periods of time outdoors not only today but also the first part of tomorrow the u.v. index is starting to run rather high. in fact, the sun based on the u.v. index is going to be as strong the next couple days as it usually is in mid august so make sure you wear that sunscreen. as we take a look at tomorrow, again we start out sunny probably a few clouds digging in as the day goes on but as we back this out and move into thursday you can see that there is a system down to the south that's going to form a coastal low that will shoot off to the northeast. this is going to make us cloudier and cooler on thursday and friday and while the bulk of the rain probably misses us we could have some drizzle or a couple of showers both days. your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast today's high

69 degrees, sunny and breezy. nice and warm on wednesday 74 degrees with a few clouds digging in. and then thursday down to 67. some sun mixing with clouds but a couple of showers possible and by friday breezy, cooler, a high of only 61 and another shower likely at times on friday. neither of these days look like washouts right now but we'll keep watching that coastal storm. then as we get into the weekend the storm kicks out to sea and we wind up warmer and nice on saturday with a high of 70. it's going to be the best weather you've had so far this season for the union who are at home. that's a 6abc game i believe at 4 o'clock too, by the way. i'll be on that union radio show this afternoon at 5:45 on 610. >> 6:10 now. new video out of nepal showing a dramatic rescue from the rubble. three days after that disaster of handle earthquake from high stakes as the high court takes up the question of same-sex marriage. matt. >> tam we have a new disabled

so far. walt whitman commodore barry delaware memorial traveling between salem county and new castle county also in the clear at this point. what if you're crossing the schuylkill river. this is the platt bridge, that taxi headed toward the airport early this morning. we're in the clear in both directions. moving up river a little bit up the schuylkill these are the twin prince george's. little bit tough to see now because of the sun glare coming up but this is route one, the roosevelt boulevard. the southbound off ramp to ridge avenue also reopened now. but don't forget in burlington county the centerton road bridge remains closed. it was shut down last thursday. they found some problems with the bridge there over the rancocas creek so to get around that temporary blockage you can stick with 295 or 130 as some alternates. at this point otherwise in burlington county we're looking good. tam. >> okay, thank you matt. this is new video showing the devastation caused by two landslides in the brazilian city of salvador. at least 12 people were killed yesterday after heavy rain triggered the ground give way sweeping away a number of hillside homes. rescue workers and residents

pelman who is in for karen. good morning. >> plenty of sunshine up over the horizon with just a few clouds left over in a couple of spots. take a look at satellite and see how the cloud cover overnight was much more pronounced but now it's really evaporating. temperatures are still a bit cool to start out. we're at 52 degrees in philadelphia. 50 in wilmington. most of the suburbs in the upper 40's and a bit of a breeze blowing. by 8 o'clock we're at 54. by noon 62. and then in the afternoon we do get milder than yesterday with temperatures sitting in the upper 60's. 3 o'clock 68 and then we'll probably hit a high of 69 degrees at about 4 o'clock this afternoon. we're looking at an enhanced risk of brush fires spreading today because of the low humidity and a bit of a breeze blowing around at times. dry forest too so be careful about flicking cigarettes out the car one dough. pollen on the high side the next couple days but expect to ease back on thursday and friday and to earn that right we'll have to take on cooler weather cloudier weather and perhaps a little damp
