good friday morning to you. i'm ryan smith in for t.j. holmes. >> and i'm reena ninan. we begin with the simmering anger in baltimore. protesters in philadelphia demanding justice, clashing with police. leading to several arrests. in baltimore, calm overnight. >> some athletes lepding voices. carmelo anthony of the new york knicks joining a march urging not violence and patience. and ray lewis, the long-time leader of the baltimore ravens visited two schools, telling students not to get involved in violence. >> bazi kanani is in baltimore for us this morning. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, reena. good morning, ryan. the curfew has been keeping

things quiet overnight. it's been extended through the weekend, when protests could get larger. >> back off! >> reporter: the tension seen at support protests across the nation like this one in philadelphia was no longer on display in baltimore. demonstrators and thing strong through the rain but peaceful and dispanding as requested at curfew. even as new information by police brought more questions. investigators reviewing surveillance video from in intersection discovered the police van transporting gray made four stops, not three as previously claimed. >> we're much more suspicious than before in light of the omitted information. >> reporter: law enforcement officials tell wjla that there is medical evidence that gray suffered an injury to the back

of his head that quloesly matches a bolt in the back of the the police van. after turning over the results of the investigation a day early, police stressed the investigation is not over. >> getting to the right answer is more important than the speed. making sure we look and overturn every rock the more important than just coming forth and giving a document. >> reporter: baltimore police say 95 officers were injured earlier in the week some with broken bones and concussions. so they warn they will be pursuing charges against anyone caught acting out violently. ryan? reena? >> what are investigators doing to find those responsible for causing the damage during the r riots riots? >> reporter: they'll go over surveillance videos. federal firefighters are looking for tips about whoever set the fires at local businesses on monday. they've offered a reward.

the lava only recently rose up high enough to see it. drivers paying the highest gas prices of the year. the average price for a gallon of gas nationwide $2.58. up 55 cents since january. the prices expected to increase through summer. gas in california is up 34 cents in the past week alone, to an average of $3.52. that's almost a dollar more than other places. "furious 7's" run at the box office may stall this weekend.
