point mays landing road. >> protest rs in -- protesters in philadelphia could not -- could do what protesters in baltimore could not do and that was stand out and make their voices heard. >> reporter: the protest was largely peaceful in the end only three arrests and released overnight. they chanted and marched. hundreds gathered in center city to show solidarity with baltimore in the wake of the fatal injuries stained by freddie gray while in police custody. while much of the rally was peaceful there were tense moments. some protesters attempted to get on the vine street expressway. police horses got spooked as demonstrators tried to march through them. soon protesters began throwing

bottle and other objects at police. others began running to get out of harm's way. there were few arrests. >> it got dicey around broad and vine. there were people who wanted to get on the highway that's not safe for them or the motorists. >> reporter: we were told there were no serious injuries yesterday in all this, and no broken property was reported we're live at city hall, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thank you, it is 6:04. in baltimore was quiet overnight police were out in force for a curfew that's been extended through the weekend. the city is bracing for bigger protests this weekend. baltimore has been on edge since the death of freddie gray who sustained a fatal spine injury in police custody. that investigation is in the handles of prosecutors whole decide whether or not to charge the officers involved in the case. >> a judge sentenced a south jersey man to 32 years in prison in connection with a three car
