>> reporter: it's going to be beautiful out there. for the runners taking place in the broad street run. toward the end of the race, the numbers will heat up quickly. that's the view of the center city skyline all is quiet on sunday morning. 50 degrees millville 45, trenton, 46. 50 fore wilmington, dover 47. lancaster, 47 and allentown 44 degrees. satellite arena radar, just like yesterday there's not much to talk about just high, thin clouds, that's about it. high pressure firmly in control. wind out of the southwest that means temperatures soar later on. forecast for the broad street run, sunny skies expected. 8:00 a.m. temperature 57 degrees we're starting out with comfortable numbers by 11:00 a.m. we're up to 72. on our way to 80 degrees later this afternoon. that's just the first of several consecutive days of temperatures

yesterday. >> reporter: on streets of baltimore, thousands marched to a rally outside city hall. earlier what might have been a day of rage, mellowed in a day for protesters to take stock and satisfaction. this poster showed fists unclenched to spell out the word love. these 6 baltimore police officers are accused in freddie gray's death three whites and three blacks. >> everybody happy because they got some type of justice. we never seen no justice never. >> reporter: 25-year-old gray died of a severe spinal injury after his arrest. the driver faces the most serious charge of murder with a possible 30 year sentence if convicted. brian rice is charge with involuntary manslaughter. other officers face charges of second degree assault.

rise and shine broad street runners, most are up and getting ready to take on the run at 8:00 a.m. the run makes its way from broad and sommerville down to the navy yard. it's ten miles of wonderfulness they will be doing it today in a little bit of heat, chris.

new on "action news," sunday morning, an argument turns tragic for a family in west philadelphia. and "action news" is live at the step off of the broad street run thousands are heading to the starting line right now. >> 6:30, meteorologist chris sowers says nice weather for the runners. >> reporter: broad street beauty. let's go live on sky 6. let's get you started with the view of the ben franklin bridge. look at the sunshine already. that's the only issue you may have if you're running in the broad street race this morning. you'll need a hat or something to shade your face from the sun wear sunscreen it will be shining brightly all day long. bright blue skies not much in the way of humidity, it will feel comfortable out there. the fact that we are in may the angle of the sun is high in the sky. make sure your you're protecting yourself. 50 degrees in wilmington. reading, 47. allentown, 44.

replaced with feet hitting the pavement, ten miles of derntle derntle -- determination and endurance and strengthen. >> let's go live to katherine scott at the start of the broad street run. >> reporter: good morning, guys, not too busy relatively speaking. that will change very soon. in an hour and a half it will get going. runners are assemblying near the starting line by broad and fisher. people are getting ready for it, and the great ten miles per mile an mile an hour that ends at the navy yard. here's what last year looked like when tens of thousands of made their way down broad street. spectators line the course, cheerleaders and drill teams along broadly. the at is known to fuel the runners. there are number of good viewing spots. north broad by temple university is a popular spot.

broad and spring garden. west side of dill worth park by city hall. and avenue of the arts and broad and washington. back here live at the starting line as you watch runners assembly more than 40,000 runners have registered for this year's blue cross broad street run. some say they want to get here early. they want to make sure they have are a good spot near the starting line. there will be a group stretch about a half-hour from now. for some of the runners at central high athletic field. we're live by the starting line, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thank you, nice to see you. the broad street run reportedly generates almost $7 million most of the money comes from bookings from hotel rooms. the city will get another jolt in september when pope francis comes to town.

the mayweather pacquiao fight. the older brother pulled out are a knife and stabbed his brother several times. the victim was pronounced dead inside the house. police in delaware county are looking for a gunman that sent one person to the hospital. the action cam was on the scene in upper darby at 10:30 one person was shot and rushed to the hospital. no word on the condition. no motive or suspect in the shooting. on the action cam in new jersey early morning where a vacant warehouse went up in flames when firefighters arrived they found flames shooting through the roof. crews brought the fire under control. there were no reports of injuries and no word on a cause. there was a huge turnout in delaware county for a now 12-year-old boy josh kramer celebrated his birthday with a party that turned into a team
