>> all right guys we're off to a really nice start. sun up over the horizon very little cloud cover not much wind. satellite showing you how the clouds are getting thicker out to our west and as we go through the morning and afternoon we'll cloud up and we'll be on the lookout for a passing spotty shower or maybe a thunderstorm. comfortable for now, though, 62 degrees really feeling good here on the terrace, 62 in wilmington, 61 in millville. close to 60 along the works and 56 degrees currently in allentown. a minor test on tuesday kids in we do have a spotty shower or perhaps a thunderstorm during the afternoon and evening but looks pretty few and far between. most of you probably get to walk home from school and stay dry. you can see how the numbers get really warm again,, too by 3 o'clock we're up to 84. your high today is going to be 85 probably around 4 o'clock this afternoon. and the pollen counter is still running in the medium high range the next couple days so allergy sirrers will that want to keep the meds handy. slight issue with air quality its a moderate air quality issue today so that those of

vehicle that smashed into a wall here. county line road at titus avenue so watch for some restrictions in area. in willow grove montgomery county an accident from yesterday afternoon still impacting you because it brought down poles and wires and crews are still out there trying to clear it. easton road remains closed between the turnpike and fitzwatertown road. stick to york road to avoid the problem there tam. >> thank you karen. this is new video just coming into the news room from the scene of a breaking story. firefighters have just put out a basement fire inside a home in towamencin montgomery county. the action cam on the scene on the 1000 block of saw mill way around 4:30 this morning. smoke filled the house and did some damage but thankfully everybody was able to get out. no one was hurt. and there are breaking developments in that deadly shootout outside of a mohammed cartoon convention in texas. a terror group has just claimed responsibility. story. there are reports isis has claimed responsibility for the attacks outside the event in garland, at this isis radio announcer referred to the gunmen as two of their "soldiers and brothers." elton simpson and nadir soofi were armed with assault rifles and intended to shoot hundreds of people but they were out gunned by a lone traffic cop and his pistol. the group holding the mohammed cartoon contest the american freedom defense initiative said it was simply exercising freedom of speech but it has been called an anti-muslim hate group by the southern poverty law center. 30-year-old simpson seen in this selfie and his roommate pulled into the parking lot got out of their cars and started shooting. the traffic cop returned fire and then shot them both dead. now, the fbi had been investigating simpson since 2006. he had been arrested for once trying to fight alongside an al-qaeda group in somalia. now he grew up in a christian family in phoenix, arizona

indicted a dover police officer on assault charges accusation that is he kicked a suspect in the head rendering him unconscious. a grand jury declined to indict webster in march of 2014. then delaware attorney general matt den reviewed the case and presented it to a grand jury again. that second grand jury indicted webster yesterday. >> the red cross is helping a family who lost three relatives in a chester county fire. the flames gutted a mobile home on the 300 block of hill road in west caln township yesterday afternoon. a family had gathered there after another relative's passing. two adults and two children managed to get out in time but according to neighbors three women had trouble getting out of the same opening as the survivors and then they hesitated about jumping to their safety. the victims' names have not been released. >> 6abc is hosting a live debate tonight featuring the five men and wony one woman vying for the democratic nomination of mayor of philadelphia. the candidates squared off at

philadelphia though. your dewpoint still behaving itself. i could see that rising a little bit during the morning and maybe getting a little bit more humid as we head into maybe the mid day. winds, though, very light and for now it really feels g of course we brought on that always on day planner so that you can check out where things are going today. looks like on future tracker six over the next couple of hours we still see a fair amount of sunshine but as we head into the afternoon you see those clouds filtering in so that we transition to more of a clouds and sun mix. by 2:00 the model still doesn't have any precipitation. i'll allow for a spotty pop-up sprinkle or shower but it doesn't look like much. then we get between 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock a chance of spotty showers popping through maybe a rumble of thunder. obviously this isn't a lot of rain and it's going to be dry for most of time this afternoon. we get later into the evening though and there's a little better chance of some of this stuff popping through, perhaps a rumble of thunder by 11 o'clock and some of you might hear little bit of that in the overnight hours as those showers and perhaps a thunderstorm keeps rumbling through in the overnight. the big story today though

given that the precipitation is pretty spotty and light for the most part is the temperature. once again we're going to be warm. 65 by 8 o'clock. but up close to 80 as soon as 11 o'clock and we spend the entire afternoon second day in a row for this in the 80's. 85 will be your high and we'll hit that at around 4 o'clock. again there's that spotty precipitation during the afternoon and early evening hours. and we take a look at high temperatures across the region and everybody's looking pretty good. 82 in allentown, 80 in trenton, 82 in reading. down the shore the mid 70's but even that is pretty comfortable and again that spotty shower or thunderstorm chance exists. then tomorrow frontal boundary that's forcing the spotty shower activity today comes through pops to the south and on the other side of it we will be cooler tomorrow. easing back into the mid 70's for our highs. fairly cloudy. another spotty shower possible. you can see this on future tracker six between 7 o'clock and 2 o'clock. mainly drive. a fair amount of clouds every now and then. you get the shower activity by 7 o'clock maybe breaking up a little bit. your exclusive accuweather

7-day forecast going for that high of 85 today sun and clouds mainly dry. tell me it feels like spring again with a high of just 74 and again a spotty shower here or there. on thursday the front's back to our north and that returns us into the warm sector. 80 is the high on thursday. for the aberdeen dad vail regatta great weather, 83 on friday and 85 on saturday with lots of sunshine both days. for mother's day very warm. getting up to 87 for a high. there's the chance of a pop-up shower or a thunderstorm during the afternoon but i think the day is mainly dry for mom. and then we ease back to 82 on monday. >> okay, thank you david. it's now 6:40. uproar in baltimore. conflicting reports about a police incident brings protesters back to the streets. >> also ahead you will see an avalanche of soda bottles spill right in the path of a pedestrian. karen. >> we've got a new problem popped up on i-95. a disabled pickup truck right in the center lane and one of the worst spots southbound past cottman. we're going to keep watching

to get to work though. we have a new problem on i-95. this is southbound on i-95 just past cottman a-bad spot to have a disabled pickup truck. it's right here. we could see police on the scene as well. the trouble is it's in the center lane. so now you have people, going left going right. creating an extra jam on i-95 southbound so watch for this heavy traffic. i was just pulling up the waze app and we can see speeds of about 11 miles an hour as you travel southbound on i-95 and scanning all the way down as you go towards girard still traveling only 10, 11 miles an hour at best. so it's really creating a jam-up on i-95 and that's the reason with this accident or disabled pickup truck blocking in the center lane and now you see a truck is behind it. it really is creating a problem right now. there are those slow speeds on i-95. also slow speeds on the schuylkill and 10 miles an hour westbound past the boulevard to belmont. we have a disabled vehicle on the boulevard here southbound approaching adams avenue so now you've got two problems

with disabled vehicles. a new accident in bridgeport montgomery county. look for it on coat street at holstein street. watch for that accident coming in to us. don't forget this construction that began yesterday route 23 between front street and 320 so here in west conshohocken. that's a problem. here are the construction lasts through thursday here. they're working on a gas main. stick to 320 to avoid problems there. also another issue. and this is an accident from yesterday. and still easton road is shut down near the turnpike here in willow grove so watch for this. they're going to be out there a little while longer. we've got verizon crews out there on the scene. peco on the scene because the accident brought down a pole and wires here so stick to york road as your alternate for that one. so much happening at an early hour. we've been tweeting it all with the #6abc traffic. just keep you out there and getting to work on time. 62 degrees right now in philadelphia. feeling comfortable. dry. it's another warm day with a high of 85. just a chance for a shower or thunderstorm, matt. >> thanks, karen. here's some new video of a near miss in rio de janeiro.

watch the man walking on the sidewalk. a truck's cargo crashes off the trailer. the walker made a mad dash for cover as cases of soda bottles sprayed across the street. he somehow was not hurt. here's an update to a lotto mishap in california. the person caught on camera receiving the wrong amount of money for a winning scratchoff was actually an undercover lottery official. he was testing the store to see if it was following proper guidelines. the cashier in los angeles handed the agent $75 though the prize was actually $75,000. officials are now investigating whether the wrong payout was an honest mistake. >> there were more tense moments in baltimore when a shot was fired during a police chase. police say they were trying to arrest a man who was spotted with a gun when he took off. the suspect apparently dropped the gun and the gun then shot off -- a shot went off. no one was hit and the man was taken into custody. but not before a crowd of protesters came out and made a

false report that this had been a police-involved shooting. all of this happened in the same area as those massive protests last week. new york prosecutors plan to charge a man with first degree murder. he's accused of shooting a police officer who has now died. demetrius blackwell is being held without bail. officer brian moore died yesterday, two days after he was shot in the head. dozens of new york city police officers paid their final respect there is to their fallen comrade yesterday. >> 6:47. still ahead an eye opening report finds that pilots are landing at the wrong airports. they're do it more than just once.
