the man was hurt just after 11:00 this morning while fixing a streetlight at 51st and woodland, about 2000 customers had no power for a half hour while peco deenergized the area. sara bloomquist will have a live report at 4:30 today. at least row homes were damaged or destroyed in reading today and at least a dozen tem are out of their homes while they try to figure out what started the flames. walter per says live now with a look at the damage. >> reporter: hey shirleen here is the scene here, the torch remains of this section of row homes that went up in flames at 7:30 this morning, neighbors here is a the flames spread quickly and despite that no serious injuries to report. >> the smoke could be seen for miles as a section of row homes burned to the ground on east laurel street in reading.

and woodland, a wire sparked and set the pole and the man on fire. >> peco workers spent much of the afternoon here figuring out how a peco employee got injured so badly. it was around 10:30 this morning, the 53-year-old man was repairing a light neighbors told us burned out yesterday one of the dangling wires was still charged and sparked. >> some how one of the lights that was attached to the pole he was up in his bucket truck making repairs and the fire hits his clothes and sets him on fire from the chest up. >> he was able to put the flames out himself but he was really badly burned. >> his arm was burned. badly burned his whole arm and face. and he was rubbing his face, and

downpour and this local area jealous because much needed rain is falling and dropping the pollen levels and then where it intersects 206 and red lion and stokes road getting drenched right now but the lightning counter is zero and this right now is a downpour passing through no thunderstorm. as we look at the numbers 3u89 in philadelphia 79 in wilmington and 76 in allentown and millville 84 degrees, with the southerly wind coming off the cold ocean 65 in beach haven. as we look at satellite 6 along with action radar, that is the forcing mechanism that is getting the downpours going and not a lot of energy getting it going and a release of

lightning an isolate the downpour and thunderstorm and it's cloudy and warm and 61 to 66 degrees, that starts to switch here as the winds start to wrap out of northeast with high pressure to the northern and the front sinking to the south, it's much cooler and a lot of clouds and an isolated shot of a shower or downpour and the high starts to settle off the coast it starts to veer and turn more southwesterly, seeing sunshine on thursday and kicking it's temperatures back up to 80 degrees and at the same time at the end of the week, the low pressure center to the north and east. lets say west palm beach florida and off the carolinas this could be the first tropical system of the year this wrote be an early start if this welcomes tropical storm anna, if that occurs it stays to the south.
