in the fishtown section a young woman was abducted and assaulted there it happened last friday at 5:30 on east york, this surveillance video shows a 1990s minivan in the area, believed to be the suspect's vehicle the 22-year-old victim told police she was walking alone and was approached by a man matching this sketch and the man drove her to another location by gun point and sexually assaulted her and dropped off the victim and fled. detectives are asking anyone that knows someone matching this sketch to call 911. attorney general, loretta lynch, was sworn into office the day of the baltimore riots today she travelled to that city. she met with leaders and officials and also the family of freddie gray, his death led to

"action news." >> thank you karen. a stretch of the northern new jersey turnpike remains closed because of a serious crash involving a tractor trailer. this burned out shell of the rig is all that remains near the southbound lanes of interchange 11. the tanker was hauling gas when it overturned and burst into flames, it took firefighters more than 40 mines to put it out. the driver was flown to the hospital with serious burns. a fast moving fire has moved 2 dozen people from their homes in reading burkes county tonight. chopper 6 hd was overhead while firefighters doused hot spots they say that the blaze started in one residence and quickly spread. walter perez is live now with more. >> reporter: rick, we'll take you to the scene and you can see here the torch remains of this section of row homes that went up in flames at 7:30 this

morning. neighbors say the flames turned quickly but no serious injuries were reported. >> it was at 7:30 this morning when her children told her they could smell smoke and it was moments later she realized the home next door was on fire. >> we were looking through the alley and that home was engulfed in flames. >> it took two hours before they got this under control but not before they called in reinforce manies. >> we called third alarm because of the extent. fire moving south and west. it can be seen for miles and six homes were damaged and at least three were destroyed and 15 to 20 people are homeless. room says that all of her family's personal belongings are gone. >> lost all of my two son's

repair shop in bethlehem they stopped him and found an illegal substance in the bag and they searched his home and found a scale and packaging materials. he is now held on $150,000 bail. police say the man wanted for stealing shrubs from a woman's home is now under arrest. police have picked up the s&p identified at joseph medecki. the pom pom shrub was in front of her home for 15 years. police are looking for the man that robbed the port richmond laundry mat, this is the 3300 block of frankford avenue, this thief walked in on sunday and approached a 36-year-old female employee and pulled a gun and demanded money and the victim went behind the

as we take a look at the almanac, 83 degrees is the high temperature, 14 degrees is the normal, and 5 degrees shy of the record, 90 degrees set back in 1928. and upper 70s for chestnut hill and here at the station on city avenue northeast philly 81 degrees a couple of showers that passed through northern philadelphia county at 3:30, 4:00 this afternoon. a batch of showers did pass through the lehigh valley and earlier than that temperatures 37 degrees and the sea breeze kicking in and only 62 in beach haven, 66 on the boardwalk and sea isle city, coming in at 66 a cold front that is draped to the north and that front is draped to the south overnight and with the front nearby even once the sunsets we could see a scattered downpour or thunderstorm pop-up and not everyone will see them and if

you do you are one of the lucky ones you'll get the much needed rain and otherwise 66 to 61 degrees, future tracker at 9:00 still scattered with downpours around upper 60s to low 70s and another round could pass through with some energy along the front around midnight tonight, and focusing it near the i-95 corridor, early tomorrow morning the winds start to shift from the easterly direction. and only a few degrees from that, winds from the northeast 60s again at the shore and inland locations it's still above average and much cooler by 10 degrees compared to yesterday an today. the exclusive accuweather forecast, 70s and clouds tomorrow and a scattered shower and sun is back in full force 80 degrees and for the start of the aberdeen dad vail regatta a warm one in the afternoon 76 in

there's over two hundred thousand students in philadelphia. jim kenney and tony williams are fighting over public schools versus charters. i think they're both wrong...it's making sure they all get a good education. teachers should have their contracts respected. they also should be held accountable. and it's wrong philadelphia gets less school funding than other parts of pennsylvania. i'll work with harrisburg to change that. but if they refuse i'll take them to federal court. as mayor i'll do what's right for them.

some special children got a special lift in mercer county and got a direct flight to disney world. a local high school band was on

tuesday night a philadelphia city worker is burned while fixing a traffic light and police charged two women after the toddler was rescued from a roof in frankford, but the big story on "action news" is new information on the shooting of an 8-year-old girl this past weekend this was the scene of the 5400 block in west philadelphia when the girl was shot in the head while in her parent's car. now authorities are saying this may we'll have been a case of road rage. >> kenneth moton is live at

childrens hospital kenneth what is the latest on the girl's condition. >> it is serious jim because of the position of the bullet still in her head. her parents are by her bedside but they stepped away to plead for information in this apparent road rage shooting. she walked out of the hospital where her little girl has a bullet lodged in her head, the victim of a gunman that opened fire on her and her family in north philadelphia. >> everything is a blur to me i was in my car and someone just pulled up and shot into my car. she and her boyfriend double parked outside of their home on haverford avenue she and her three sisters 3 and 4 were in the back, it appears that the family was not moving fast new of the driver of a black sedan who was angry enough to fire one shot.
