we are working to learn the name of the man that died this morning while he tried to walk across i-95 in delaware, he was trying to cross the southbound lanes just before martin luther king boulevard in wilmington it happened at 12:15 this morning, the driver who hit him did stop and he and the other man in the car are okay. police have not said why the victim was trying to cross the highway in that location. the mayor of baltimore is now asking federal investigators to look into that city's police department, the stephanie rawlins-blake asked for assistance from the justice department. after a visit from attorney general loretta lynch the city

there's over two hundred thousand students in philadelphia. jim kenney and tony williams are fighting over public schools versus charters. i think they're both wrong...it's making sure they all get a good education. teachers should have their contracts respected. they also should be held accountable. and it's wrong philadelphia gets less school funding than other parts of pennsylvania. i'll work with harrisburg to change that. but if they refuse i'll take them to federal court. as mayor i'll do what's right for them.

a pizza hut became an unexpected life line for a woman held hostage rg here is the order ticket the woman used usioning the pizza hut app.

it reads please help call 911 and hostage help. she was being held by knife point by her boyfriend so she used the pizza hut app to plead for help by ordering pizza for her children. an astute worker saw the message and called the police and they freed the woman and her children. a big push at cutlers university for a new mascot, the original is scarlet knight, the best knight in all the land the face of cutgers university. but the student body says that the school is made up of many faces not just a white male one they want a latino and asian and black mascot and a woman and even a third gender knight. future generations will decide

trying to fix this water main, and they are making repairs and restoring water to people's home here on ashborn road. this is what it looked like this afternoon shortly after the water main burst. >> i came out to get my mail and all of a sudden i saw the burst tonight looked like a volcano. >> noise and then boom and there was water coming out like a fountain. a big fountain coming out. the water came out bursting from the tree. >> it took crews almost an hour to shut off the water. >> no water right now. >> it's going to be a while before they can get it back on? >> yes probably.
