>> good morning, it is 5:00 a.m., friday, may 8. we have breaking news this morning. >> police are searching for a man they say committed a murder in delaware county and they fear he may still be armed. >> an escaped prisoner in philadelphia is back in police custody. the action cam was there as he turned himself in overnight. flames continue to rage in a south jersey forest devouring

hundreds of acres right now. >> it's a big weekend, dad vail regatta. david murphy mother's day people want to know what to expect. and karen rogers has traffic. >> reporter: there's a dense fog advisory in parts of south jersey and southern two-thirds of delaware where visibility is at a quarter mile. we have a code orange ozone-action day mainly in new jersey. i could see the pollution levels rising on the pennsylvania side of the river, as well. code orange means those in unhealthy risk groups, those suffering from asthma or other respiratory ailments should limit exercise when ground ozone is at its worst. there's the low-lying cloud cover coupled with fog giving us problems to the south. most of us in pennsylvania we have stars out.

this police investigation and has been for hours, so you do want to avoid the area if possible as they investigate the homicide. it happened around 1:00 p.m. inside an apartment buildings here, police say the victim was shot in the hallway near the front door he was pronounced at the scene. police are working to contact family members they don't have a detailed description of the suspect, but they say he might be carrying a rifle or long gun police are working to confirm that. >> brac male was scene running from here, east on main street towards 5th with dark clothing. at this point that's all we have. >> and back here live, looks like they might be starting to clear the scene here, but there is still police activity. i don't want to tell people to come through right now because it's not quite clear but moving in that direction. the building was evacuated.

the residents were waiting it out on a septa trolley but they were allowed back inside in last 30 minutes. there is still police in the area, it doesn't look like it has wrapped up yet i'll have that maybe in a half-hour. >> a teenager who escaped custody while in handcuffs earlier this week surrendered overnight. the action cam was at the southwest detectives when haseen singletary arrived with his family members and lawyer. he faces charges for several armed robberies. and this is new firefighters in bear delaware, rushed to save a man from a burning home, but he was later pronounced dead at the hospital. flames broke out on the 400 block of feather drive. heavy smoke and fire filled the first floor of the row home. rescuers found the 61-year-old victim unconscious on the second

floor. damage is estimated at 50 thousand dollars, the cause is unknown. a wildfire burning in the new jersey pine barrens is 50% contained. the flames erupted off 206 in war ton forest. firefighters have been called to battle the blaze in shamong township. huey helicopter attacked the fire from the air pouring water on the blaze where it needed it. >> dozens of students from delaware county were stuck on the highway for hours after their bus malfunctions. 60 students were returning from a field trip from washington d.c. yesterday evening. the bus broke down on i-95 in beltsville maryland, parents called police who arrived with water for the students. >> it was so tiring, we spent
