>> good morning it's 5:30, saturday may 9th. here's some of the stories we're working on on you for "action news," a dozen patient are rushed to the hospital after an apparent overdose, details ahead. a woman is dead after being hit by a duck boat ride filled with tourists. it's a foggy start in the delaware valley, chris sowers

has the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. a haircut! looks good. >> reporter: [laughter]. thank you i appreciate that. a lot of fog across south jersey and delaware. looking outside you can't see anything we have a dense fog advisory for the coast until midday and inland locations across south jersey and delaware until 9:00 a.m. the clouds will give way to sunshine this afternoon. it will be a warm day highs close to 80 degrees. north and west not too much of an issue with the fog but again, south jersey and delaware, it's a completely different story. .3 in millville. 1 mile in dover. .3 in wildwood. half mile in atlantic city. on the water you're socked in really good. temperature-wise it was a little bit muggy. the dew points have come down a little bit, 60 on the boards

atlantic city. 59 in sea isle. allentown, 63. 48 degrees in the poconos. forecast for today. the weekend getting off to a decent start 80 degrees foggy morning, clouds and sunshine by rch, winds are -- afternoon wind are light. more sunshine throughout the afternoon hours 3:00 p.m., # -- 78 degrees, 3 to 6:00, 60 degrees. we'll see how your mother's day fair and huge warmup in some areas getting close to 90 degrees by tuesday i'll have the details at 9:00 a.m. a dozen patients at a drug rehab center reportedly overdosed on a drug.

patients were being taken out of the facility and loaded into ambulances, as many as 12 painters had bad reactions to k2 or synthetic marijuana. >> people were overdosing on k2. crass crazy. >> the patients were taken to temple and einstein medical center. the duck boats tour ride is once again in the spotlight after a pedestrian was hit and killed. it happened in broad daylight while the boat was full of tourists in chinatown. dann cuellar has the details. >> reporter: tourists were enjoying a beautiful evening when tragedy struck. from all indications, it appears the victim, a 68-year-old tourist from texas never saw it coming. the horrific scene at 11th and arch, police had to use a yellow tarp to cover the body.

>> the 68-year-old female was trapped under the vehicle medics pronounced her dead at 5:27 p.m. >> reporter: the duck boat was traveling westbound carrying 28 tourist and a tour guide. witnesses say the duck boat had the greenlight. >> the female was crossing the street against a steady red light. >> reporter: the woman was looking down doing something on her ipad and did not see the duck boat coming at her. it was back in july 2010 we had another serious incident involving a duck boat one boat was in the delaware river when it lost power and struck by a barge. two hungarian tourists were killed in the mishap. >> she was crossing the street and the duck came along it's a sad day. >> basically this is just a

tragedy that should have never happened. >> reporter: the matter is being handled by the accident investigation division of the philadelphia police. as things stand no charges are pending against the driver, it appears to be a tragic accident. dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." officials in delaware county say a freak accident led to a crash that killed a pedestrian. police say a driver lost control and rode up a driver way crash into the garage. the victim was caught in the path of the vehicle and killed. the driver was not hurt. no word on what caused the driver to lose control. philadelphia police identified the suspect they are looking for in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman in fishtown, this is manuel cintron. they say the van he used was caught on video. the 22-year-old victim was abducted at gunpoint.

police think cintron tried to attack another woman an hour earlier in the city's logan section, she was able to fight him off and run for help. in new york city a police officer killed in the line of duty was laid to rest. brian moore was remembered during funeral services. he was shot while chasing a suspect in plain clothes. thousands lined the streets to show solidarity with their brothers and sisters in blue. officer moo -- moore was 25 years old. attorneys for the officers in freddie gray case are asking the prosecutor to dismiss the case, at a minimum they are saying the state's prosecutor should be replatessed with an

independent prosecutor. gray died after his spine was injured during an arrest. loretta lynch will conduct a broader investigation into the baltimore police department lynch said the probe will identify law enforcement practices that are unconstitutional and violate civil rights. >> this investigation will begin immediately and focus on allegations that baltimore police officers use excessive force including deadly force conduct unlawful searches seizures and arrests and engage in discriminatory policing. >> a second federal investigation is probing the death of freddie gray. a gunning declared a mistrial in the etonpatz case.

this is the third time the jury was ain't to come to a conclusion. the jury had voted 11-1 in favor of conviction, but that one juror said he had a problem a number of problems with the case including the confession. >> i feel that the initial confession there were lots of issues surrounding custody surrounding the fact it it wasn't video for 6 or # hours. >> his father said he had no doubt about the guilt of hernandez. >> i am so convinced that padro hernandez kidnapped and killed my son back on may 5th 1979. >> there will be a third trial a new trial is scheduled to start june 10. more than ten thousand students graduated yesterday.

there's over two hundred thousand students in philadelphia. jim kenney and tony williams are fighting over public schools versus charters. i think they're both wrong...it's making sure they all get a good education. teachers should have their contracts respected. they also should be held accountable. and it's wrong philadelphia gets less school funding than other parts of pennsylvania. i'll work with harrisburg to change that. but if they refuse i'll take them to federal court. as mayor i'll do what's right for them.
