look at the fog in cape may. you can't make out the beach. we have a wind off the ocean, we have a light breeze that brought the fog inland. that's thanks to ana. temperatures are cooler than yesterday evening, sun has not risen just yet so, of course, testers are down. later this afternoon we'll see a lot of sunshine out there and up close to 80 degrees once again. this will be the problem over the next few hours until noon we'll have a dense fog advisory up. superior sections of south jersey, the fog is in effect until 9:00 a.m. it gets worse the closer you get to the water. allentown in the clear 10 miles. philadelphia 7 miles. a little bit of patchy fog showing up at the airport. there you go, south jersey down to .3. millville, wildwood, half mile in atlantic city. right there in cumberland county, the bulls eye nearby

brave boy his sister and father. annie mccormick has the details. >> how do i tell my son it's okay, it's not. he doesn't feel safe. >> reporter: lloyd divine got the call that his son was stabbed trying to protect his sister. the siblings were leaving the elementary school and going to grandmas, they spoke to us, but asked not to identify them. >> i thought it was a dream where i was scared am i really getting jumped. >> they were punching me, i forget they had a knife i thought they punched me and i looked at it and i seen the knife. >> reporter: 25 to 50 kids, most of the girls surrounded them. the attacker mistook the sister for someone else. he knew what he had to do.

>> i had to protect my sister. divine went to the park and found the knife and the blade of the pool of blood left behind by his son. it is unclear if that's the weapon that was used. dad is proud of his son and said his kids love school and not used to the violence. >> we're trying to do what we can do, my daughter doesn't want to go to school norm. >> reporter: police believe a female was responsible for the actual stabbing. they believe there were others involved in the fight. there are no surveillance cameras around the park, they are looking for any witnesses if you have information contact police. dozens of dogs rescued from an abandoned home in ocean county are on their way to are a

healthier, happier life. annual control officers removed 40 dogs from a home on lakewood. the dog's coats were so matted and dirt they had to be shaved. >> the entire house was wall to wall feces and european. it was walking through 6 inches of slippery mud. the neighbors say they have been complaining for months about a stench coming from the house. the spca said the woman will likely face cruelty charges. the dogs were sent to various shelters and rescue groups. pennsylvania senator pat brown is facing drunk driving charges. he was hurt when his motorcycle hit a guardrail in allentown last weekend. in a statement he said he was extremely grateful that nobody else was hurt.

this was brown's third drunk and driving arrest in 20 years. he he will not lose his license because his last dui was more than ten years ago. new jersey governor chris christie spoke interest the bridgegate scandal during a town hall in in in which. he said the arrest by two political allies felt like he was hit by a 2 by 4. he said you can't guarantee that the people you hire will never make mistakes. christie is considering a run for the white house. a woman accused of killing an off-duty police officer in delaware county appeared before a judge only "action news" was there as tyana finch walked into a preliminary hearing charged with murdering her boyfriend mark hudson who worked for the darby borough police department for four years. a criminal complaint claimed

that it was accidental, later she stated she fired in self-defense after being attacked. mayor of wilmington said his officers will be equipped with body cameras. he thinks the cameras will reduce the number of complaints against officers. he assigned an order to study the implementation of the cameras, officers in wilmington may use them by the end of the year. a shark is swimming off the jersey shore close to brigantine, the shark has been known as mary lee. >> this is not a jaws situation and not on the menu for the great white. beach goesers are looking -- goers are looking through the

fog where is mary lee the shark. even on on this foggy beach day fishermen were trying to real her in. >> i don't want to run into mary lee i'll tell you right now. i don't know what i would do if i caught it. >> reporter: a 3500-pound 16-foot long great white shark swimming off the coast of the jersey shore. mary lee was tagged in 2012 by nonprofit o search which is tracking her and other great whites. she was ten miles east in brigantine in atlantic city. they have been doing it for eons we just didn't know it. it proves they are not interested in us. >> reporter: the lines up and down the east coast show mary lee's 20,000-mile journey in 3 years.

norman oklahoma. dozens of severe tornados and thunderstorms plowed across the rains this week. this crazy weather. we have beautiful sunshine. >> reporter: let's keep it that way. part of the problem they have out there. back on the east coast we get a spin up tornado. it's rare that we get a big tornado here, spinup tornados last 20, 30 seconds out there they get long track huge wedge shaped tornados that stay on the ground 45 or afternoon hour, they annihilate everything in their path. that's the big issue out there. they will see another round of severe weather this afternoon. for us we're dealing with patchy fog, some of it is dense as you can barely make out the ben franklin bridge. we'll continue to see the fog over the next couple of hours by mid morning the fog burns off, the sun shines brightly.

another nice day. temperature, 64 degrees, dewpoint, 60. winds out of the east/northeast at 5 miles per hour. tomorrow is more humid but monday more noticeable. dense fog advisory remains in effect for new jersey and delaware, we're down the -- to .3 in millville and wilmington. 9:30, everybody is seeing the patchy fog it starts to lift by lunch time. most areas are okay, the exception being allong the water. you pick up an onshore wind you're taking the fog and pushing it inland. we'll see it on the sand until lunchtime and then that lifts. we have tropical storm ana it's spinning in counter clockwise fashion off the coast of myrtle

beach. ana will make a turn toward the right and pull out to sea. winds are sustained at 60 miles per hour. moving toward the north northwest slightly at 3 miles per hour. pressure reading under 1,000 millabars. it shows the storm getting close to the southern tip of new jersey. really this does not look to be a big deal for the delaware valley. the only impact we'll see from tropical storm ana will be the prolonged southeasterly wind which creates the fog we'll seal the dense fog this morning and mother's day and monday morning there could areas of fog before it puzzle out. it will increase the humidity, we're seeing indirect impacts from ana over the next few days. sun and clouds mix promises to be a nice day.

tomorrow we do it all over with the patchy dense fog showing up nicely on future tracker. by afternoon, we'll see the sun. repeat performance. there could be showers in some areas come mother's day, but most of us stay dry. for the lehigh valley. mostly patchy fog otherwise mostly sunny comfortable high of 80 degrees, dewpoints stay nice and low not much in the way of humidity. fog lingers through lunchtime the clouds break for sunshine, much cooler with a high of 69 degrees, because of the onshore wind. you'll notice the increase in humidity, it will feel muggier on the water than inland locations. dad vail rat go at that -- regatta 64 degrees at 8:00 a.m. lunchtime, 73 degrees, 5:00 p.m., closing in on 80.

>> reporter: welcome back everyone, 6:25 saturday morning, looking at double scan live. for the first time this season we'll feel humidity here as the weekend run along. this has to do with ana winds blow clockwise around the high. the winds around anna blow in a counter clockwise fashion. what's happening we're getting this long duration cecil wind off the water -- southeasterly wind along the coastal plain it will increase the moisture content of the atmosphere increasing the humidity. everybody is up in the low 60s for the dewpoint.

body of the victim who was struck by the duck boat during rush hour. >> the 68-year-old woman was struck by the vehicle. >> reporter: the duck boat being driven by a 72-year-old man was drafting we know -- westbound on afternoon, the duck boat had the green light. >> the 68-year-old female was crossing the street across a steady red light. >> reporter: witnesses say she was looking down at an ipad and didn't see the duck boat coming. >> it was back in july that we had another serious incident involving a duck boat one of the boats was in the delaware river when it was struck by a barge. two hungarian tourists were killed. >> it's a sad day.

>> basically this is a tragedy that should have never happened. >> reporter: the matter is being handled by the accident investigation division of the philadelphia police. as things stand now no charges are pending against the driver. it appears to be a tragic accident. in chinatown, dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." >> police in delaware county say a freak accident led to a crash that killed a pedestrian. chopper 6 was over the scene on the 300 block of chestnut road in drexel hill. police say a driver lost control and rode up a driver way crashing into a garage. the victim was caught in the path of the vehicle and killed instantly. the driver was not hurt. no word on whether a caused the driver to lose control. philadelphia police have identified the suspect they are looking for in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman in fishtown. this is manuel cintron. they say the van he used was caught on surveillance video. the 22-year-old victim was

abducted from 2000 block of york street. police think he tried to attack another woman an hour earlier at 12th street in logan. she was able to fight him off and run for help. a new york city police officer killed in the line of duty was laid to rest. brian moore was remembered during funeral services yesterday. he was shot chasing a suspect in plain clothes last week. thousands lined the streets to show solidarity with their brothers and sisters in blue, officer moore was 25 years old. the 6 baltimore police officers charged in the death of freddie gray are asking the judge to toss the case. the officers say they are the victims of an overzealous prosecution riddled with personal and political conflicts of interest.
