we have an accident in new jersey on the new jersey turnpike southbound approaching the molly pitch pitcher service area. katherine scott is an apartment fire complex devon shire drive. academy road northbound traffic heading toward the boulevard. police blocking local woodhaven road because of a downed pole peco is is on the scene. stick to academy or comly road. a fire broke out at a new jersey apartment complex and it had one person jumping two stories to get to safety a firefighter is among those injured. katherine scott is live in east wind so -- windsor township, mercer

county. >> reporter: matt, 20 people have been displaced. one person had to jump two floors in order to escape the flames and the smoke in the apartment. firefighters remain at work in east windsor township. the the fire was placed under control an hour ago but they are still putting out hot spots. this was a fast-moving fire, let's go to cell phone video that a resident shot early this morning as the fire raged. it broke out at 2:30 at a building in the windsor castle apartments on the unit block of devon shire drive. witnesses told "action news" that a man jumped from a second floor window that it was full of smoke. another resident was injured and treated at the scene. we don't have the conditions of those two residents. some nearby residents woke to screaming and watched as the

fire escalated quick quickly. >> i woke up to a woman screaming help help help, i came outside, i saw a cop running toward the building and i looked up there was an apartment on fire. all of a sudden the fire spread throughout the whole building and took off the whole roof. >> reporter: and back here live you can see firefighters remain on the scene the roof is completely burned through here, there's a lot of damage especially in the back of the building. firefighters are putting out hot spots. one firefighter did suffer an ankle injury and in stable condition. at least 20 residents have been displaced. the red cross has been called to assist. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> gunfire in the city of chester left two men wounded one critically. the shots rang out at 12th and pine last night. officers found a man with a gun shot wound to the head. he was rushed to the hospital. ment second victim showed up

with a gunshot wound to the arm. no arrests and no word on a possible motive. an autopsy is scheduled today on a a one-year-old boy that will give a formal cause of death who was tossed into the river by the mother. his mother 19-year-old pushed the child over the railing of an allentown bridge on may 3 and jumped in herself. a police officer pulled the boy out of the river 700 yards downstream, but he was under the water for four minutes. the perry is charged with attempted murder. there's no word if the charges will be upgraded. it was a difficult mother's day for a woman who went to visit her grandmother's grave in delaware county. she was surprised to find the grave in a state of disrepair. the area was overhe grown with grass and weeds.

hit the road this memorial day. 37 million of us will be traveling and going 50 miles or more from home that's a ten year high. it will be a jump of 5% from last year. stocks closed out the week with sharp gains the dow rose 267 points. s&p 500 gained 28 the nasdaq 58 points. right now futures are pointing to a lower open. finally a chinese company has given 6400 of its employees free 40 trips to france and montco. it was to celebrate the anniversary of the company. it didn't come cheap it cost the company $14.5 million. that's the latest in business news, back to you. >> must be nice to work for the company. >> reporter: nothing showing on storm tracker 6 live double scan this morning it's what you feel out there that's the biggest issue as we take a look outside we have low-lying cloud cover.

it's not a big problem at philadelphia international airport. you can see stuff in the distance, but the clouds obviously a little bit low. it is muggy out there though. as you head outside it's muggier than we've seen quite a bit this season so far. 70 in philadelphia. 67 in wilmington. we are up to 71 in allentown. 69 in trenton. 65 in millville. and low 60s in sea isle city at the boardwalk in atlantic city. humidity is noticeable. there's the low-lying cloud cover, down the shore patchy fog earlier we're not getting a whole lot of that reported around the region, but there are spots where you will run into thicker fog. it does look like the cloud cover will burn off partially and over the majority of the day we'll wind up with a mixture of clouds and sun. allentown, humid, 84 is the forecast high, most of the day you're looking at the clouds and sun mix.

down the shore 73 degrees, humid, mix of clouds and sun spotty shower can't be ruled out in the afternoon but again mainly dry. in philadelphia very warm high of 85 degrees, mix of clouds and sun, humid conditions, certainly. winds out of the south at 5 to 12, spotty shower or thunderstorm anything that potassium up will be short-lived 68 degrees by 8:00 a.m. 76 by 11. 84 by 2:00 p.m. high of 85 around 3:00 p.m. it will feel on the muggy side. as i mentioned earlier if you're out walking and doing exercise keep some cool water on handle or sport drink to keep yourself hydrated. at the phillies tonight pirates in town, 76 first pitch, 71 in the 9th inning.

welcome back you're taking a live look here, looking out over the delaware and penns landing that's the story. it is foggy out there in a lot of places, a hazy start to your monday morning. >> all right karen what do you have on the roads. >> reporter: we have an accident overturn truck creating a jam on 295 northbound past 47 to 43. you can see the backup that spilled out. we're jammed from 544 to 295.

the backup pilling -- spilling out on 42. the two main highways in new jersey. we're seeing speeds of 19 miles per hour right there. there's the shot of 42. i want to take you to the new jersey turnpike another accident southbound approaching the molly pitcher service area look for that. katherine scott is talking about the apartment complex fire windsor township. watch for that. downed tree cleared bruce road that's good to go now. use the #6abc traffic and check all the traffic we've been tweeting out. fog is an issue we're looking at.3 in millville and wildwood. down to .8 atlantic city airport that's down a little bit from last time we looked at that.

watch out for the fog i special e especially along the coastline. >> thousands of gallons of oil leaked into the hudson river in new york. i felt happened after a transformer fire at the plant on saturday. the governor said there were too many problems from the indian point plant. >> this plant is the nuclear plant that is closest to the most densely populated area on the globe. if something goes wrong here, it goes very wrong for a lot of people. >> part plant remains over line this morning. officials say the oil cleanup will take a day or two. >> tropical depression ana is swirling up the east coast. north myrtle beach bore the brunt of the storm. south carolina had washed sought roads. the storm moved ashore yesterday morning bringing strong winds and rains and minor flooding.
