by something. those events happened near the derailment site, and, an assistant conductor on amtrak 188 recalls her engineer talking to the septa engineer about the scare on the septa train. the amtrak 188 engineer was interviewed, again yesterday. >> he reported no fatigue throughout the day or any illness throughout the day. he felt fully qualified and comfortable with his equipment, and he reported no problems with his train handling. the engineer encouraged us to contact him further again contact him again if we needed anything else. so again we found him to be extremely cooperative. >> the operator suffered a concussion and does not the recall anything past north philadelphia the train's lead conductor remains hospitalized, too injured to be interviewed. the house transportation infrastructure committee will look at railroad safety policies and ways to improve

new this morning a wild crash has seriously injured a woman in hunting park. car flipped over, and then landed on top of washers and dryers outside of a business at north second and glenwood avenue. would the man was thrown from the car. she ended up under the the car surrounded by down wires. the wires were from a pole that the car snapped into pieces. the woman was taken to temple university hospital. police say speed played a role in the wreck. workers at iron hill brewery and restaurant in voorhees have been vaccinated against hepatitis a because a co-worker tested positive for the illness. health department officials say the server has in the returned to work since the diagnosis and there is little to no risk to the public. penn state university says it was the victim of a cyber attack. school officials say hackers stole users name and pass word issued by the college of engineer nearing in two separate attacks. they reported the breach to penn state last november. university says 18,000 people

had their personal information stored on the targeted computers, as well. however, there is no evidence any information, beside, user names and pass word were stolen. a wilmington mother is pleading for help trying to find her missing daughter. twenty-four year-old ren held in has been missing since april 1st. her family says she walked out the front door of their home and then disappeared. angelina's mother says daughter is developmentally disabled and functions on the the level of an adolescent. >> it has been weeks you know and just know she will be with somebody. she won't ab loan. she's very quiet. she would do anything that anybody said, you know. please just know that she's out there. >> if you have any information on where angelina might be, please call new castle county police.

and in nepal all eight bod fridays a u.s. marine helicopter crash this week have been recovered. this is a picture of the helicopter, before its relief mission. the the wreckage was first spotted by nepal troops yesterday after days of intense searching, and the helicopter went missing while delivering aid on tuesday. it was carrying six marines and two nepal army soldiers. meanwhile, area residents will leave for nepal on a relief mission. the members of the delaware medical relief team were packing up supplies last night in wilmington. eight of them will depart from philadelphia international airport this morning in route to the quake ravaged region for a week. this is third wave of role tears from their group. high school prom in camden county had an unexpected, ending. a power outage cut the lights at the mansions on main street in voorhees. hundreds of students from winslow township high school were inside at the time. the school district cut short the prom.

associated with the warm front in the process of pulling through. we will look at temperatures this past week, that will increase numbers both today and tomorrow. pretty warm and sticky starting things out here monday 84. tuesday 88. normal is right around 73 or 74. some of these numbers are running from 13 to 14 degrees above average and 72 wednesday and thursday, yesterday we topped out the at 76. today we will do ten better or eight to 10 degrees warmer than what we saw yesterday. right now nice and comfortable 59 in philadelphia. sixty-one millville. fifty-nine down here to the south. poconos 55. dew points or the way we measure amount of moisture in the air. threshold is 60 degrees. as long as we stay under that, it is nice and comfortable. almost refreshing. the that is how it feels right now. these numbers were in the 30's same time yesterday. you can see that increase in humidity. those numbers will continue to climb moving along over next two to three days. the unday we are looking at dew point that are higher then this. somewhere between 60 and 65.

then they will start peeling off again as cold front swings through. we have comfortable weather returning for monday and tuesday. look at thursday, two points, dropping, all the way down in the 30's. that will feel like a breath of fresh air and along with those lower dew points coming lower temperatures. you'll see that reflect in the seven day forecast in a couple minutes. the a satellite six with action radar couple showers pushing by to the north. we have a few cloud to ground lightening strikes reported within this little complex cluster out here in the west. this is lehigh valley. is there poconos mountains right there. this should pull together long enough to brush those areas over the next couple of hours but then after that, we're looking at a combination of sun and cloud most of the the afternoon and most of the rest of the way. by lunchtime 79 in philadelphia allentown 79. you can see how everything clears out just sun and included at that point. we will get in the late afternoon hours and thinks where atmosphere starts to heat up, if you will, allentown 72 by 7:00. we will see those showers and then are storms approaching. getting in the city by 9:00 this evening.

welcome back everyone 6:23. saturday morning. day planner looks all right. we are starting off with cloud cover out there but we will increase sun as we get in the first part of the afternoon. temperatures climbing up to the mid 80's. we will go 85. after four or 5:00 this afternoon we do expect to see a couple thunderstorms popping up, that move through viewing area from west to east. then we will get in the next couple of days a series of front will pull through. right new we are seeing a warm front punching through and that will sit right there and plant itself above upstate insuring for sunday. then this warm front has a little bit of difficulty pushing further north and it snaps back, in the form of the back door cold front. so saturday and sunday we are in the warm sector but we will get into monday and its retreat and then we will get into this cooler ocean air from maine. that starts to slide through. monday will feel better. then we will get into tuesday

fbi is looking in the investigation in the deadly crash of amtrak 188, they are taking a look at the a circle shaped fracture on the driver's left side, of the windshield. the question is, is this something that the train just before the train accelerated and crashed in port richmond tuesday night killing eight people. "action news" reporter dann cuellar has more on the search for answers. >> reporter: the fbi was beginning the windshield of the amtrak train 188 now located in the secure area in delaware. the windshield was damage during a crash but there are a couple of fractures that the fbi has been asked to focus on. >> windshield was shattered but there is particular damage there that we want them to look at for us. >> reporter: this development comes have after a conductor on the train report hearing the engineer talking on the radio to the engineer of septa trent than line train number 769 that had been truck by an object. it had to make an emergency stop but there were no injuries. that was at 9:10 p.m. five minutes earlier a stop on a acela train had been struck

but they could in the control their grief. stay with "action news" throughout the weekend for developments in the amtrak train derailment investigation and you can see the very latest information on six abc.com and on our social media accounts. new this morning a woman says she was sexually assaulted at a restaurant in olde city. police interviewed her overnight. woman says the a assault happened around 1:00 this morning inside the cuba libre restaurant on south second street. the would the man was a customer. police have not made an arrest. also new this morning police in cherry hill, new jersey are investigating a shooting at a motel overnight. it happened at the inn of the do have on the 700 block of cuthbert boulevard at about 3:00 this morning. police arrived and they found a blood stained shirt in the the parking lot, but no victim. they later learned that a man was dropped off at cooper university hospital, with several gunshot wound and he is in critical condition and police also discovered a woman who was assaulted inside of a car who was treated at the scene. philadelphia police are

investigating the claims of the witness that a man tossed a baby off of the railroad bridge at 68th and kingsessing. the search was suspended for the night. surveillance video shows a man and woman walking away from the bridge at the same time that the witness reported seeing a man kiss the the baby, and then throw it off the bridge. despite searching miles of track, below police have found no trace of a baby. investigators still don't know what caused 14 people to get sick the at the postal facility on route 130 in hamilton township. hazmat crews came into take tests but there is in word what caused the super sweet odor. one person passed out while 13 others were treated at the scene. officials didn't find any spilled powders or liquid residue. the 21 year-old convicted in the boston marathon bombing is now the youngest person on federal death row. it took just 14 hours of deliberations for a federal jury in boston to eventens dzhokhar tsarnaev to death by

there's over two hundred thousand students in philadelphia. jim kenney and tony williams are fighting over public schools versus charters. i think they're both wrong...it's making sure they all get a good education. teachers should have their contracts respected. they also should be held accountable. and it's wrong philadelphia gets less school funding than other parts of pennsylvania. i'll work with harrisburg to change that. but if they refuse i'll take them to federal court. as mayor i'll do what's right for them.

once again for sunday. then things turn better as we get into monday as back door cold front swings in like this and we will get ocean air moving in here from maine. at light six along with action radar showers and storms running that new york/pennsylvania state line. some of these could get in the lehigh valley and poconos over next 45 minutes to an hour but then after that most of the day will feature a combination of sun and cloud. should be nice and quiet. warm and sticky by lunchtime. 81 degrees in philadelphia but with all that day time heating and frontal systems close by it will trigger showers and thunderstorms later on. 7:30 they are in the lehigh veil. the the city south and east still clear but those storms get in the city by eight or nine and heavier downpours are possible across, south jersey after 9:00. probably ten or 11:00. that will be the biggest threat with these storms. we're not anticipating widespread severe weather. that is not to say there could not be a severe thunderstorm but most should stay under severe weather limits. we are looking at showers and
