sunday night here's is what happening on "action news" at 11:30. violent scene inside a restaurant in texas. rival gangs went after each or with guns, knives and chains leaving nine people dead and more than a dozen hospitalized. plus an emotional day for survivors and first responders of the 9/11 as they climbed to the top of the new world trade center tower.

a local church celebrates its 200 anniversary. we will take you there coming up. but first an update with the developing story we have been watching tonight. one person has been killed in an accident in burlington county new jersey, hut down both route 295 and route 73 in mount laurel, new jersey. >> it happened on i295 near route 73 overpass, just before 9:00 o'clock tonight. up investigators say a tractor trailer was involve in the accident in the northbound lanes, and then caught fire. one person is confirmed dead, both route 73 and 295 were initially shut down but northbound route 37 reopened a short time ago. relevant i morning fire in plymouth township forced residents to stay inside their homes while fire fighters battled the massive blaze. >> it broke out at a warehouse right around 3:00 a.m. as "action news" reporter chad pradelli tells us, the the chemicals inside that building create a real cause of concern for the surrounding community. >> ladder four 3comm over here. >> reporter: thinks ground video of the warehouse blaze shot by fire fighters, they

encountered intense flames and smoke. fire quickly went to three alarms. fire companies across montgomery county, responded to the early morning fire. as fire fighters put water on the inferno walls collapsed. neighbors heard explosions. scott ward's home backs up to the warehouse. >> we were pretty, pretty nervous, my wife woke up in a panic, we moved our son out of the back bedroom into the the front, we were ready to leave if we had to. >> we went over and you could smell the the smoke but, i was happy that it wasn't windy because i figured if they could catch fire, you know, in the yard. >> reporter: fire fighters contain the fire to just the warehouse, but didn't have it under control for more than six hours. as they gained the upper hand, concerns grew about chemical run off. warehouse was home to

philadelphia flooring and centech. fire officials say the flooring company had a dozen or so petroleum chemicals inside and water run off entered the storm drain and ended up in plymouth creek. >> originally we were trying to collect it a and suck it out the best we could but now we're like it will in the work so we will try to dump large amounts of fresh water in the storm drain system to try to dilute it. >> reporter: plymouth fire chief michael burton says chemicals did in the pose a threat to area residents although they were told to shelter in place if possible. state department of environmental protection and hazmat crews were leading the clean up, the two businesses and warehouse were destroyed. >> it is very sad it is sad for people that work there but the the firemen were brave. they always are. they were here right away. >> reporter: one fire fighter did suffered a minor hand injury and was taken to the local hospital but i'm told he will be okay. the cause of the fire is still under investigation. in plymouth township, chad

pradelli for channel six "action news". a two alarm fire in trenton, new jersey earlier this morning left a woman critically injured and displayeded a dozen people. it start on the first floor of the home in the 700 block of center street and quickly spread upstairs, and then next door month. man living in the home where fire started went to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, no word yet on the cause of this fire. a second solder involved in the crash in the new jersey turnpike early this month has died. thirty-five year-old staff sergeant bryce leak was driving the hum vee on may 1st, when it was clipped by another car in chesterfield. he was one of four soldiers injured when the humvee reared off the road and into a tree. another of the soldiers died on may seventh. police are still investigate to go deciding whether to file any charges. nine people are dead and at least 18 injured, a after a wild shoot-out involving rival biker gangs in texas. the it started a as a fightin side a restaurant in waco that spilled out in the parking

lot. local officers on the scene say it was most violent gruesome crime scene they have ever seen. we will get store friday abc's jim ryan in waco. >> reporter: motorcycles crammed the parking lot of the twin peaks restaurant in waco, texas. now nine of them have no owners after a hooting of five rival biker gangs turned to carnage. brawl with knives, bats, chains bowled over into a shooting match. >> gunfire broke out on the part of the criminal biker gangs. they were involved in shooting at each other. >> i just got a call from passing by they were going by twin peaks thought they had a gunshot, looked around and saw people running. >> our officers knew then, our officers did fire, so we have officers that were involved as well in shooting some of the bike are gang members. >> reporter: eight were confirmed dead at the scene a ninth victim was pronounce dead at the hospital. police reported 18 other people were injured, all of the dead and wounded were gang members. >> just say it is sunday and

there's over two hundred thousand students in philadelphia. jim kenney and tony williams are fighting over public schools versus charters. i think they're both wrong...it's making sure they all get a good education. teachers should have their contracts respected. they also should be held accountable. and it's wrong philadelphia gets less school funding than other parts of pennsylvania. i'll work with harrisburg to change that. but if they refuse i'll take them to federal court. as mayor i'll do what's right for them.
