over a charred mess on the new jersey turnpike. >> pileup involving to tractor-trailers, a tour bus and a car has brought traffic to a complete stop. >> quite a scene out there at 6:30 here on this tuesday may 19th. let's go right on over to karen rogers she's got the latest on what's going on. david we'll back her up after that with the weather. good morning. >> good morning -- the action cam live in woolwich township gloucester county new jersey. a better shot of this car mangled and squashed up right against the median on the new jersey turnpike. this is the tractor-trailer behind it when they collided the tractor-trailer burst into flames. this accident involving two tractor-trailers, this vehicle and a tour bus that was not carrying passengers. a horrible scene this morning. see all the fire crews on the scene right now just literally walking along the median trying to deal with this. out of the corner of this shot you can kind of see some traffic getting by. what happened was 4 miles of backup this morning on the new jersey turnpike northbound. these people had nowhere to

go. this accident happened at 3:30 this morning. they wouldn't let any of them go until maybe about 45 minutes ago. we started to see that traffic move so they're just allowing some of the stuck traffic to get by on the shoulder at times, at times they've been shutting it down completely. so, the highway itself still officially closed as we see crews trying to deal with this. these are the southbound lanes here and we can see the fire truck off to the side so traffic is getting by southbound. i want to switch over to the maps and show you where this accident scene is. so here is the new jersey turnpike shut down northbound between exit one and exit two for 322. no traffic allowed to get by at this point and 295 is clear. we're seeing 60 miles an hour so take 295 as your alternate until they're able to allow traffic to get through. oftentimes after they have allowed the stuck traffic then they allow the traffic to get through so we'll have to see what happens with this one on the new jersey turnpike woolwich township a major accident this morning. another big issue out there, a lot of people dealing with the fog. you see the reduced visibility in the shot. this is 422 past 29.

eastbound traffic heading towards oaks, just a little bit of building volume. a couple other issues i want to mention. a disabled vehicle on the boulevard northbound and traffic lights malfunctioning on the boulevard at bustleton but of course the big accident, david, is the one in new jersey that we'll follow. >> and that is looking like it's going to be a problem for awhile karen. storm tracker six live double scan this morning shows you there are a couple showers around. some of these in the northern suburbs cutting through parts of northern bucks county, central montgomery county and back towards berks county, another batch down by cape may county and in between these patches of green some fog and related drizzle. in fact visibilities are pretty low in millville and wildwood and now lower in atlantic city over the last half hour, 45 minutes. trenton still a half mile visibility and in allentown we're down to one. anywhere you see those darker shades of gray you're looking at the potential for some thick patches of fog. your temperatures are cool but comfortable this morning. 62 degrees on this storm tracker six app if pete in williamstown, new jersey my twitter follower. thanks, pete and numbers across the region similar. 62 in philadelphia, 62 in

wilmington. 57 in allentown. things not too humid just yet. but it is going to be warm later this afternoon. and it will get more humid again. at 3 o'clock you see our high, 84 degrees. morning showers melting away toward the end of the rush hour and then as we get into the afternoon we'll be looking at some spotty but downpour producing showers and thunderstorms reemerging into the picture. more on that an cool down for tomorrow matt and tam. >> thank you david. we begin with brands new information about crash that killed an 11-year-old in the lehigh valley. the driver struck the girl and another child as they were walking home from school. this all happened at sixth and chestnut streets in emmaus yesterday afternoon. both young victims ended up in the hospital. officials say abigail zukowski died a short time later. her friend is seriously hurt. the driver did stop at the scene. the students attended jefferson elementary in the east penn school district. a crisis management team will be available to students, staff and families throughout the week and the crash is still under investigation. >> a conductor who was injured in last week's deadly train derailment is suing amtrak.

lawyers plan to release more details today about the complaint which accuses amtrak of negligence and carelessness. it comes as amtrak's northeast corridor gets back up and running with an automatic speed control system now in place at the scene of last week's crash. fbi analysts continue to examine the engine at a secure location in delaware and they've determined the windshield was not hit by a bullet in the moments before the crash. but late yesterday the ntsb tweeted that it has not ruled out the windshield was struck by another object. lawyers hired by some of the crash victims believe all of this talk of projectiles is just a distraction. >> if a train engineer who is operating a train at twice the posted speed limit, i mean, imagine that for starters and then you have a system which could override him. >> investigators continue to focus on the train's engineer, brandon bostian. the ntsb says it could take up to 12 months to determine a

probable cause. >> ♪♪ >> it is primary day in pennsylvania, polls will open across the state in about 25 minutes at 7:00 a.m. here in philadelphia the most talked about race is among the democrats who want to be the city's next mayor. "action news" reporter katherine scott is live outside of city hall with the latest. good morning katherine. >> reporter: good morning tam. the republican candidate for mayor of philadelphia is running unopposed but there are six democrats vying for a spot on the ticket come november all hoping that their new office will be here at city hall. today is primary day and mayoral candidates were sure to squeeze in some last minute campaign stops. last night state senator anthony hardy williams was making the rounds at a block party in point breeze. former city councilman jim kenney spoke to a crowd in south philadelphia urging folks to head to the polls. in center city, former district attorney lynne abraham shook hands and posed for pictures by the clothes pin statue. former judge nelson diaz met with septa commuters at the

spring garden stop on the broad street line and former state senator milton street took to the microphone outside 52nd and market in west philadelphia. as for former pgw executive doug oliver, he was at harrison plaza in north philadelphia at a community gathering there. polls open in less than 25 minutes. you have until 8 o'clock tonight to cast your ballot. we're live at city hall, katherine scott, channel6 "action news." >> thank you, katherine. lansdale getting another batch before too much longer and allentown will probably pick up another light sprinkle. otherwise as we go out wide you can also see some lingering stuff right down in cape may county. looks like dover is drying at this point. and this is also very light nuisance stuff so a little bit damp out there. in between these pots -- props of green you have low lying cloud cover and fog some some spots. that could also reduce your visibility of course. as we take a look outside lots of clouds around this morning and that includes -- where are we looking -- no, that's i-95. it's hard to see it right away. but that's from center city. now this camera position is parked atop i think one of the society hill towers so it's a little bit misleading in if you go right down to the ground level the fog isn't quite as thick but nonetheless you get the idea. low lying cloud cover and definitely a chance of drizzle on the windshield in the city. your dewpoint right now is actually below that 60-degree thresholds for what we would consider humid air so it's not all that humid to start out

today. winds out of the north at 5 miles per hour. later today those winds are going to turn out of the southwest and we are going to get a lot warmer. in fact those of you watching in hd we've just added the always on day planner and you can see how numbers are going to climb later today. in terms of precipitation between now up until about 9 o'clock, we expect most of our little shower activity to fade off the map and then the rest of the morning is mainly dry and somewhat cloudy. getting into the afternoon we start to see some sunshine come back into play but at the same time there is the chance of a spotty pop-up shower or thunderstorm and i believe this model has just updated so you can see that some of these could produce drenching downpours but not everywhere. it will be kind of a if you've seen one you're unlucky but you are going to get drenched. 5 o'clock, mainly dry, clouds and sun, warm muggy and a couple drenching downpours. by the time we get past about seven or 8 o'clock not only are the showers going to fade off to the east, the clouds will start to break up even more and drier air will come in from the west and it's going the feel a lot more

comfortable. in terms of scattered thunderstorm risks downpours definitely a high risk of that where these hit. lightning a moderate risk and the reason i'm calling it moderate is because they're not going to be that many storms but of course if you the thunder you take cover right weigh. even one lightning bolt can be a little bit too much for you and less of a chance of strong winds, hail not expecting any tornadoes out of any of these things today. strong winds might be more of a factor with any storm that forms farther to the north in and around maybe the lehigh valley and then especially up toward the woke notice. 63 degrees by 8 o'clock, 69 by 9:00 and then warm and humid this afternoon with a high of 84 slotting in right around 3 o'clock this afternoon. your seven-day from accuweather, today's high 84. you saw the spotty storms. overnight tonight the humidity drops as do the temperatures and wednesday and thursday pleasant conditions, lots of sunshine on wednesday. thursday a few more clouds, especially from about philadelphia south. but both days low 70's and feeling pretty good. 78 nice on friday. for the holiday weekend 74 saturday, 78 with a slight

>> time right now is 6:42. and we are following this really bad accident along the new jersey turnpike. happened at 3:30 this morning. so, more than three hours later we still have debris there on the roadway in woolwich township and a at this point and i know it's going to be hard to believe but we're being told that no one was seriously injured in this crash. let's hope that stays that way. we're continue to follow this for you. >> karen you have been saying every now and then they let people get by but for a lot of people they've been sitting out there for hours. >> if you can imagine you're driving to work at 3:30 in the morning and then you're stuck on that hi way for some two hours before they even start to allow some of the traffic to get by. look at the mangled mess of this vehicle that smashed up against the median. at first it was hard to even tell it was a car involved with this accident scene. but also a it got lighter you can clearly see it at this point and the problem is two tractor-trailers this one burst into flames when it collided with this car. it was carrying paint and auto repairs and then a tour bus all of these vehicles colliding together on the new

jersey turnpike. this is northbound. you can see the cones that are set up and what they're allowing is some of that stuck traffic that's been there since 3:30 in the morning to squeeze by at times on the shoulder around the crews that are still stationed here on the scene so that's northbound lanes on the new jersey turnpike. this is southbound. we've got fire crews out here. they're mostly off to the side so southbound on the turnpike you're okay. let's bring in the maps to show you where exactly this is all happening. it's on the new jersey turnpike. you're blocked here from exit one to exit two. that's the exit for 322 in woolwich township gloucester county. no traffic officially getting by just yet just that stuck traffic that's been sitting there forever. southbound you're moving fine at this point. what you can do is take 295. , see they run basically parallel. that's a really good alternate for you through gloucester county so you can get around that accident scene. use 295 instead. i want to take you outside live and show you what it looks like on i-95. you see just some of the fog in the distance. we have been seeing fog in varying degrees. this is your southbound traffic right here on 295 pretty jammed from academy to

cottman and the betsy ross bridge to girard. looking at the visibility reports through the area we're looking at about a half mile visibility in trenton and beach haven but just .3 of a mile, that seems to be the worst of it in millville wildwood, atlantic city. 3-mile visibility at philadelphia international airport. so if you're flying out you need to take that as an issue. 1.7-mile visibility in wilmington right now. let's look at one more thing that's happening out there. we had an accident on welsh road near cedar hill road. it just cleared. it was an accident out here in horsham township but this one is involving a truck and a bicycle. and this happened here in upper hanover township, hearing that the bicyclist fractured a leg. another terrible accident that happened here in upper hanover, tam. >> thank you karen. and this is developing in iraq. sunni isis militants maintain their strong hold on the city of ramadi. there's word that iraqi shiite allies are trying to retake that city. this is brand new video out of ramadi. terrorists torched cars and buildings. you see all that smoke. the streets are essentially

bear. according to the un25000 people have fled the city. an estimated 500 people have been killed since friday. and isis is reportedly going door to door searching for policemen and pro-government fighters. the united states continues to support iraqi forces through airstrikes and military advice. >> this is new, the u.s. state department is asking for more time to release the e-mails that hillary clinton center on a private server while she headed that department. state filed the court motion late last night. officials say they need to review 55,000 pages before determining which portions can be made public. might not be able to do that until next year. clinton who has launched a 2016 presidential bid says she wants the e-mails made public as soon as possible. clinton's use of a private account may have violated state department policy. >> two female students are suing valencia college in florida for undergoing what they said were invasive procedures against their wishes. according to the lawsuit they were forced to perform pelvic ultrasounds on each other for
