up over the horizon. there are a few clouds overhead right now but they're thin enough where i think they're going to evaporate fairly quickly. we should wind up with a fair amount of sunshine. a bit of a breeze coming down out of the northwest that's very cool and refreshing. 62 degrees in philadelphia right now. in the northern suburbs still in the 50's. in fact wilmington has now dropped to 57 and millville in the upper 50's so maybe a light jacket as you head outside. and as we take a look at your day, not going to be as warm as yesterday but plenty of sunshine and pretty nice overall. 60 by 8:00 a.m. by noon, 66. we probably won't make the 70's until about 2 o'clock this afternoon and then a high of 72 around 4:00 before sliding back into the upper 60's by 6 o'clock this evening. as we take a look at pollen counts of course we had that great break yesterday where you could breathe deep and not have any problem. now we're back into the medium high range so medications possibly needed again for those of you who are real bad on those tree pollen allergies early in the season. when i step inside we do have nice weather for most of the

holiday weekend. the details from accuweather coming up karen. for now what are roads looking like. >> we have a big new accident just in in south philadelphia. the schuylkill eastbound completely blocked right now approaching broad street. it's an accident blocking all lanes. if you're trying to head on the schuylkill eastbound you've got to get off at passyunk, take that to oregon, to broad back to the schuylkill. messy detour but the schuylkill eastbound completely blocked a new accident happening approaching broad street in south philadelphia. it's not our only problem. we're live right now in west goshen township. this is 202 southbound right at high street. we've got this accident involving a tractor-trailer just ran off the roadway. police, ambulance all on the scene. at this point traffic is getting by on 202 southbound unlike the schuylkill, traffic's moving here but they may need to block it as they deal with this accident scene and yank that tractor-trailer out of the woods. on the vine street expressway different problem here past i-95. this is your westbound traffic just as you come around this curve we've got a disabled vehicle out there, a person with a flat tire off to the

side but still watch for that as you're coming around, not causing a big delay there. on the big picture spring garden hamilton street near ninth and tenth a fire reported right there so watch for crews headed to the scene. stick to spring garden as your alternate but the big accident right there, schuylkill eastbound all lanes blocked approaching broad in south philadelphia. tam. >> okay, thank you karen. new this morning, carbon monoxide sent four adults and two children to the hospital in delaware. this happened along the unit block of topaz drive in christiana at 12:30 this morning. firefighters detector high levels of carbon monoxide throughout the house. so far there's no word on their conditions or where this leak is coming from. >> it has been a violent night in the city of philadelphia. a 22-year-old man was shot and killed along the 2900 block of frankford avenue at 8:30 last night. a second victim was wounded but will survive. another double shooting turned deadly in west philadelphia. gunfire erupted along the 1500 block of north red field street yesterday evening. police say the 26-year-old man

died from a gunshot wound to the back. a 28-year-old woman survived a gunshot wound to the backside. >> police are on the hunt for the man behind a creepy encounter near the philadelphia museum of art. "action news" reporter katherine scott live at pains park. she's got the latest details. good morning katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam. this park is normally pretty busy so people were pretty surprised to learn that this man was able to lure these children away from here. an 11-year-old boy did wait several days to tell his mother because he was afraid he was going to get into trouble. then they went to police. >> it's a little unsettling. >> reporter: a creepy encounter has left skateboarders at pains park along the schuylkill river trail feeling a bit on edge. they say typically they feel pretty safe here. >> just skate. i don't pay attention to everybody walking around. i just ride around but i have like people steal my phone. i haven't had something like that happen. >> reporter: so they were stuned to hear about what police say happened on sunday may tenth.

an 11-year-old boy told police he and four friends ages nine to 11 were at the skate park when a man offered them free cokes and bacon sandwiches if they could come with him. they d they followed him up the art museum steps to a grassy hill behind. the 11-year-old said that's when the man asked him and his friends to pose in various positions so he could photograph their bare feet. when it was over the man told them he would pay them money if they would return the next week. older skateboarders at the park say they wished they'd known the boys were in trouble. >> yeah, i feel like if anyone was here like seeing sit it would have been stopped right there, so. >> reporter: the man who took the pictures apparently told the children he worked in a sneaker store. if you have any information special victims wants to hear from you. we're live in pains park, katherine scott, channel6 "action news." >> thank you for that, katherine. beau biden the son of vice president joe biden is undergoing treatment at walter reed national military medical center. but there's been no indication of what exactly he's being

this picture but those are not going to be the dominant feature today. looks like wheeler road most of those and wind up with fairly sunny conditions overall. 62 degrees is the current temperature, 57 wilmington, 56 in trenton and at 54 degrees in allentown 59 degrees in millville, new jersey. satellite and radar shows you that there is some sunshine on the way today. any cloud cover you have is fairly thin and probably evaporating as we go through the morning. this cloud cover out to the west also having a hard time making it down in our direction so if you're out driving on any of our area highways and by ways today sunglasses probably a good idea. lots of sun overall up in the lehigh valley. breezy and cool with a high of 68 degrees. cooler than yesterday certainly. down the shore 69 is what you'll see. pretty day with mainly sunny skies. in philadelphia lots of sun, breezy conditions with winds gusting as high as 25 miles per hour at times. 72 is your high and low humidity today too. also part of that nice change that we're experiencing across the region today.

60 by 8a clock -- 8 o'clock -- 8:00 a.m. 64 degrees by 11:00 a.m. and then 69 degrees by 2:00 p.m. so as late as 2 o'clock we may still be in the upper 60's today but we'll get a high of 72 around 4 o'clock and still be holding onto 70 by 5 o'clock. a very refreshing bright breezy day overall. tomorrow we've got an area of low pressure exiting the coast of the carolinas and southern virginia. it will be close enough to spill some clouds up into the region so expect it to be a lot cloudier tomorrow and cooler beneath those clouds and there's also the chance that that low is close enough that areas south of philadelphia during the afternoon in particular pick up a couple can of light showers. you can see it's not real heavy rain but again the farther south you are away from philadelphia, maybe below wilmington the best chance you have of seeing that. by 8 o'clock tomorrow night probably getting out of here. your exclusive seven-day forecast 72 degrees, breezy and cooler today lots of sun nice. tomorrow cloudy and cool with a high of 67. the farther north you are through the region tomorrow, places like the lehigh valley,

for example the better chance you have of seeing a little more sun and we might even be a little milder up north. down south it will be cloudy and damp and maybe a little cooler. and then friday that system's gone and we get breezy and warmer with a high of 78. for the holiday weekend sunny and nice on saturday, a high of 71. if you're headed to the shore probably stuck in the middle 60's. and then sunday partly sunny and 78 at the shore probably low 70's upper 60's. and then on monday, memorial day, 82 degrees a little more humid, clouds, some sunny breaks and a spotty shower or a thunderstorm possible on memorial day. it does not look like a washout but it's a great day to have that storm tracker six app loaded onto your smartphonely i use it all the time on days like that. >> we all do. great stuff. thanks, david. 6:11. following a developing story a cruise ship temporarily loses control with thousands of people on board. >> persistence pays off for a south jersey woman who just can't seem to snap that perfect selfie with the president. how it worked out. karen. >> live in south philadelphia looking at the schuylkill at passyunk. we've got problems up ahead.

i'm going to give you the latest on an accident that was blocking all lanes on the schuylkill. we've gotten an update on an accident where a tractor-trailer ran off the road and a new accident involving a and overturned vehicle. what is going on today? all of that coming up. >> and federal authorities say several national charities that claimed they were helping dying people were actually helping themselves top people's wallets. that's later. >> ♪♪

too, and this is all happening in west goshen township. we're seeing traffic get by right here on 202 southbound at high street but watch for that. avoid the problem there. they may need to shut that down as they pull that tractor-trailer out of the woods. another nasty accident none real reason it seems for the problems we're seeing on the roads at least weather-wise. use #6abc traffic to get all the latest traffic. i have been tweeting it out there. as we look at the weather it's comfortable, 62 right now in philadelphia, 59 in millville 54 in allentown lower humidity than we had yesterday afternoon and not nearly as warm, a high today of just 72 degrees. a nice spring day. no weather related problems but some issues on the roads tam. >> okay, thank you, karen. developing this morning cruise ship is waiting to be inspected in the waters off of bermuda after being grounded on a reef for nearly six and half hours. norwegian cruise line says a rising tide helped free the ship late last night. nearly 3500 passengers are on board but the company says no one is hurt. the cruise line said the ship

today. most of the day looks fairly sunny. as we take a look at the wide view on national radar a lot showers in the central portion of the region. some of these could hinder your travel plans if you're headed towards saint louis des moines iowa or perhaps little rock arkansas. the best chance of severe weather today appears to be from about memphis down in through louisiana. mississippi and then in through dallas and houston texas back to western texas. the best chance of thunderstorms -- excuse me tornadoes will be out in western texas away from houston, dallas and oklahoma today. all green aircraft at philadelphia international airport. on the board that means no major delays. lot of cloud cover out in chicago. orlando starting to clear out but no rain in any of our most commonly traveled destinations tam. >> thank you david. making and keeping regular dental appointments is about more than just keeping up with your cleanings and fillings. dentists also look for oral cancer. it also affects long term tobacco users. doctors say they're seeing more young people being diagnosed because of hpv.
