another sunburn alert out there, u.v. index running high. make sure you get that sunscreen going before you head out and do your stuff today. 66 degrees right now in philadelphia, still comfortable, not all that humid out there to start out. 63 in allentown 62 in sea isle city but you can see how those breezes are once again coming up from the south and that will have a tendency to bring slightly more humid air into play as the day goes on. not bad on the bus stop. warming up a little bit between six and 8 o'clock getting up to 70 degrees under mainly clear skies. and this afternoon warm, 81 degrees by noon, 87 by three, that high of 88 will slot right in there around 4 o'clock and 85 by 6 o'clock. there's a slight chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm popping in just a couple neighborhoods mainly well to the north and west of philadelphia. we do have a better chance of some storms late tomorrow and tomorrow evening and i'll have more on that on future tracker six coming up matt pelman. >> okey-doke day. high speeds this morning as we head back to work on this tuesday after memorial day. we like that. looking good so far here along

42 at creek road. looks like maybe there's a disabled vehicle off to the side but all the northbound lanes are opened. now here's the deal, though. historically on this morning the tuesday after memorial day, we see extra heavy traffic coming back early from the beach on the garden state parkway, the a.c. expressway and the 42 freeway northbound. so expect extra delays as you come up through belmar this morning and head up towards the bridges like the ben franklin bridge, looking good so far with nice light volume and i'm a little concerned with the extra traffic coming over the walt whitman bridge because in grays ferry the traffic lights are out at 34th and grays ferry avenue by the less station and the car wash. that has the potential to create jams in the neighborhood that spill back onto the westbound side of the schuylkill so for people coming off of the westbound walt whitman that could cause extra slowing this morning. of course we'll be keeping you poeed. we're watching a row house fire in strawberry mansion along diamond street between 29th and 30th. i think cecil b. moore would be a better bet for you.

still have this crash in lower gwynedd northbound side of 309 at welsh road. looks like it will be clearing shortly but for now the shoulder blocked. tam. >> thank you, matt. and we begin with a developing story. a 19-year-old is dead after a shooting in southwest philadelphia. police say the teenager was shot twice in the chest. he was discovered on the ground of the connell recreation center at 65th and elmwood streets just after 10:00. police tell "action news" they also found a revolver nearby along with cash an cell phone. no information on possible suspects has been released. and the search is on for the man wanted for a violent attack in south philadelphia. and police think this is not his only assault. "action news" reporter vernon odom is live at the philadelphia police special victims unit. he's got the very latest. good morning vernon. >> reporter: good morning this situation has an entire neighborhood very upset. detectives are asking for the public's help this morning in nailing a sexual predator and home invader who they believe has struck twice in the point

breeze section of south philadelphia. one of the victims spoke exclusively with our own dann cuellar. [speaking foreign language] >> the interpreter: he grabbed me by the hair and throat i thought he was going to kill me. >> reporter: police believe this 30-year-old woman was a victim of the same man about two weeks ago when the assailant broke into her home through a window in the 1700 block of chadwick. she says the assault lant resembles the man in this composite sketch. after telling him she didn't have any money to give him she was shocked by his next move. [speaking foreign language] >> the interpreter: he dropped his pants and motioned that he wanted to have sex with me. i got really scared. >> reporter: she decided to try to fight him off. during the struggle the tv set in her bedroom fell to the floor making a lot of noise. the attacker fled. police believe it may be the same man who broke into another woman's home a few blocks away in the 1800 block of rows wood. in this case too the woman awoke to find a man standing over her bed. he demanded money then sexually assaulted her before fleeing in her 2007 silver

toyota which was recovered a few blocks away. >> for this to happen on this block it's ridiculous. it's crazy. it's outrageous. i mean it shouldn't go on like this. >> reporter: yesterday there was anger and unease in the neighborhood with the assailant still on the loose. police dry him as describe him as a black male. he was wearing red or orange gloves. for her part the victim in the first assault believers he lives somewhere in the neighborhood and worries he's still out there. >> i don't want this to happen to any other woman i am still very much in fear of this man and i hope they catch him soon. >> reporter: if that sketch does indeed ring a bell or you have any other key information please get in touch with police right away. live in hunting park, vernon odom, channel6 "action news. >> thank you. breaking this morning fire has damaged three homes in the strawberry mansion section of philadelphia. flames broke out at diamond and north 29th streets just before 4 a.m.

heavy flames tour through two homes and spread through the roof to a third. the back part of one of the homes collapsed. two of the homes were vacant and so far there are no reports of injuries. fire crews say the fire has been placed under control. family fun turned dangerous in florida when twisting winds lifted a bounce house off the ground with three children stuck inside. "action news" reporter erin o'hearn is live at the big board with that story. erin. >> just incredible video matt. you hear about a lot of the injuries these bounce houses cause. some of the companies who rent these for children's parties have very strict rules as to when they can be used because they can flip so he's in strong winds. let's take a look at this cell phone video. it shows the exact moment this bounce house actually flips over and then it goes airborne and then flips again before landing. now, parents believe their children were ejected about 20 feet up and then the bounce house landed on a tennis court. look how high that is up there, 20 feet up.

the bounce house was part of a city sponsored memorial day family event which certainly turned into a bizarre and frightening ordeal for both the children and parents. this happened after a water spout touched land lifting the bounce house airborne. the three children inside the house were injured. they have bruises and cuts and two of them suffered broken arms. >> i thought i was about to die. i was in the bounce house and then the bounce house flew out of the in the air and i fell in the dirt. >> i didn't panic at first because i wasn't sure whether my child was in there but i was kind of scared. >> so frightening for the parents and children. injuries from bounce houses are not uncommon. from 2008 to 2010 the rate of injuries more than doubled according to a study in the journal of pediatrics in 2012. in 201031 children were treated in emergency departments each day on average according to the report. that's about one child every

45 minutes. alarming statistics there matt that scurry stuff. thank you erin. "good morning america" will have much more of this shocking footage and the dangers of these inflatable houses right after "action news" at 7:00 a.m. firefighters are keeping watch on a brush fire in ocean county, new jersey, but they say it's mainly contained. it has burned at least 25 acres in jackson township so far. firefighters rushed to a area near reed road yesterday afternoon. crews used a bulldozer to establish control lines. the plan is to let the fire burn out on its own. >> it is 5:08 now and happening today, we'll get our first look at philadelphia's plans for the fourth of july. mayor michael nutter will unveil the lineup for the wawa welcome america celebration. look for full coverage of the mayor's announcement later today on "action news" at noon and online at 6abc.com. remember 6abc is your home for live coverage of the free fourth of july event. >> quest will factor in

somehow with the roots. >> between now and then dry conditions across the the region and that's what we got this morning on storm tracker six live double scan. taking a look outside sky six and the skies getting nice and bright again this morning. if you're extending your memorial day weekend vacation you got a good one to do that especially down the shore. 66 degrees in philadelphia p-63 in allentown. fairly comfortable as you step outside. it still doesn't feel all that humid. in most neighborhoods yesterday the humidity did remain okay. 63 degrees in trenton and 62 right now along the boardwalks. as we take a look at future tracker six it does look like we're going to have a fair amount of sunshine through the day with an occasional cloud sweeping through. by 6 o'clock still looks basically dry. during the late afternoon and evening hours we can't rule out a little pop-up shower or maybe even a thunderstorm in the northern and western suburbs but it doesn't look like there's going to be much of that and most of you probably miss out. it will get a little bit more humid as the day goes on and once again, it's going to be warm. up in allentown 88 degrees. and that's pretty much the story up and down lehigh

valley. a bit humid later today with humidity levels just getting into the slightly noticeable area. 82 degrees at the shore so very similar to what we had yesterday, mostly sunny, warm, pretty nice on the beach today. and philadelphia's high will be 88 degrees, mainly sunny a bit on the humid side as we head through the afternoon. winds out of the southwest at 10 to 20 miles per hour. so, a bit breezy at times like it was yesterday. 70 degrees as soon as 8 o'clock. then almost 80 by 11 o'clock. we spend the afternoon in the 80's with a high of 88 degrees around 3:45 this afternoon. fairly late in the day. 86 by 5 o'clock. and then rolling ahead toward tomorrow, there is a slight chance a low probability but a probability nonetheless that some thunderstorms north and west of philadelphia especially up in the poconos could produce some strong gusty winds and maybe some hail. there's always a possibility that the storm prediction center will move this line closer to philadelphia by the time we head into tomorrow. the rest of us are also looking at some thunderstorm chance late tomorrow, tomorrow evening but it would be

drenching downpours south of that area highlighted in yellow. as we go through most of the day up until noon and beyond just a little passing shower. by 4 o'clock it still looks like on this model run most of the action is off to the north and west of our area. but as we get into the evening in particular, six, 7, 8 o'clock, we'll be on the lookout for these and again they will produce drenching downpours and in some cases some strong gusty winds. the best chance of that farther to the north and west for now but we can't rule out a strong blustery storm closer to philadelphia at times. by 11 o'clock tomorrow, it looks like it's done. so again we're on the lookout for a thunderstorm, drenching downpours, maybe some gusty winds and that's late tomorrow and then tomorrow evening. your exclusive accuweather 7-day, warm, more humid today 88 degrees very little precipitation. maybe something popping well to the north and west of philadelphia. tomorrow humid with that chance of thunderstorms late in the day or tomorrow evening. 87 is the high and it will be noticeably humid tomorrow. and then clouds still humid on thursday some storms popping but with additional cloud cover it will be hard to get quite as much going on.

welsh road just cleared out. police left the scene. everything's opened so traveling along 309 now between ambler and montgomeryville no problems in your way. i also told you about the problem with the ladder on the ramp. they took the necessary steps to get rid of that ladder. new construction zone starting today with the construction crews back at work in salford township. going to close cowpath road today and the rest of the days this week from 9:00 until 9:00 until 3:00 between county line road and forest road. you can use those two county line and forest to get around that midday blockage. traveling between delran and mount laurel in burlington county watch out for paving work all this week along creek road. they start at 7 o'clock in the morning, go until 5 o'clock in the evening. stay on hartford road or stay on beverly-rancocas road to get around that new work zone. time for the commuter report.

lots alerts down here. there are vehicles stopped except this one a pothole near telegraph road on stanton. >> two of b.b. king's daughters say their father was murdered and claim he was killed by two close aides. an autopsy was performed sunday but it will be weeks before those results are back. las vegas police say they will launch a homicide investigation pending the findings of the autopsy. memorials will still happen this week in memphis and in mississippi. king died may 14th while he was in hospice care in his las vegas home. he was 89 years old. >> the fbi is investigating anonymous threats made against several commercial planes flying into the u.s. so far agents say the threats have not been found to be credible. the scare involved at least six international flights at j.f.k. newark and logan airports. in one instance military jets escorted an air france flight into new york city because someone claimed a chem what weapon was on board.

accuweather and matt pelman to talk about your traffic. >> it's going to be another good looking day out there. as we roll into the afternoon there is the chance of slightly higher humidity. as we take a look at satellite this morning though, very little cloud cover around and most of what you see out to the west will tend to stay away from us. we'll get a little sweep of clouds every now and then. sunburn alert today. with all that sun expected u.v. index is running high. remember you can have a sunburn even when the clouds blocking that sun out. it can still get through the clouds that uv -- ultraviolet ray. between the hours of 10 o'clock and 4 o'clock is when you have the worst chance or best chance i guess really of getting a burn. 66 degrees in philadelphia, not humid, comfortable heading outside. 63 in allentown, 63 in wilmington, 62 in sea isle city with that breeze gently out of the south. as we head out to the bus stop, 65 by 6 o'clock warming up to 70 by 8 o'clock. mainly clear. obviously comfortable to start out. welcome back to school kids, we're getting close to wrapping up that school year aren't we.
