are students the big story on "action news" is the series of holdups at gun point in north philadelphia now police want your help tracking down the men responsible and sara bloomquist is live at one of the scenes of the arm robberies with the details. >> reporter: these two suspects are definitely targeting temple students some of them sitting on their front steps some of them late at night like the victims of this block are doing the cameras are installed everywhere and these young men look like college students themselves were caught again and again on video these are the men police want to identify on the prowl on the streets of philadelphia, one ran up and robbed a group of young people they struck six times between may 14th west of temple campus the victims were students that had cell phones and backpacks taken.

>> it's scary and there are incorporation dentses in the past and it's not surprising, just reminds me to stay on my toes and be aware of my surroundings. >> lease say the suspects themselves look like college students same age and wearing a backpack and concealing the weapon and getting the victims to let down their guard. >> i'm trying to sell incense, would you like to buy something from me and they'll take the backpack, the uptick happened after most students left campus for the summer and fewer people may make more people more vulnerable late at night. there is a little bit of a risk for sure. surveillance cameras are everywhere they captured the suspects again and again police believe it's a matter of time

many beach goers took advantages of a sea breeze and it was full of sun and that is about to change. cecily tynan is outside with the very latest. >> reporter: hi sharrie it feels like a summer day making this one of the warmest days so far this year and it dropped down to 87 and the poconos 80 degrees and wilmington 83 the exception down the shore with the sea breeze, the ocean temperature a chilly 57 degrees on the beaches and temperatures in the upper 60s. we do need the rain, desperately, it's been a warm and very dry may temperature its so far this month running 5 degrees above normal and this could be one of the top three warm of the mays in recorded history in philadelphia, and dry so far this month we received only a half inch of rain and that is two and a half inches below normal. the good news is i am tracking showers and thunderstorms on the

way, double scan live showing low pressure moving up towards the great lakes and if you look at the line of showers and thunderstorms extending through cincinnati through atlanta, some of those are moving our way tomorrow and that is great news, if you look at the next five days we have a good chance of wet weather on wednesday and it drys out by friday another chance of wet weather by the weekend and we'll talk about that coming up in the full accuweather forecast. >> thank you cecily, in other news amtrak installs cameras inside of cabs after a deadly derailment in port richmond they are working to piece together what brandon bostian was doing before the crash and bostian suffered a head injury and does not remember what happened. the new cameras will face inward and record the engineer's actions eight people were killed in the derailment and 200 others were injured. >> from the delaware newsroom a

50-year-old man is charged with rape, after having can't with his 13-year-old relative. bobby harrell was arrested in dover police say he was baby sitting the girl at the time and her mother called police about the alleged assault and harrell is in jail on $64,000 bond. a former bus driver was arrested after he sexual assaulted multiple children david dunn drove bus number 82 in the marple school district and is charged with indecent assault against a minor. from our new jersey newsroom tonight, it appears that the doors at the former revel casino in atlantic city will remain shuttered this summer. the new owner says that it is doubtful that any of the non-gambling attractions would be reopen before labor day the

our area. we'll show you how wild fire crews are getting ahead of a potential disaster now the details, connie murray's body was found in pennypack park last august and her husband bobby murray plead guilty to killing her. "action news" reporter vernon odom has the story tonight. >> christopher murray age 49 is a convicted wife killer and he plead guilty this morning admitting to strangling his wife connie one night last august in pennypack park they had a dispute over text messages he received from a female friend they had two children ages 17 and 12 and when her body was found his story fell apart. >> it's gut-wrenching to know

richmond. the 28-year-old female victim told authorities that a man riding a bicycle came up behind her and grabbed her cell phone from her hands she ran after him and pulled him off the bike, he pushed the victim and ran off. police are looking for three men and a woman responsible for two separate robberies within 30 minutes in old city, this is surveillance video from one of the crimes and in both situations they approached their victims they assault them and steal their backpacks bags and cell phones. the attacked happened at 8th and walnut and the other attack at south 6 and street before 2:30 a.m. now officials in the crozier medical center are asking for the public's help to identify a john doe he suffered injuries in bridgeton so far doctors are not able to contact family

the atlantic. the almanac if philadelphia 9 was the high temperature that was the hottest day of the year so far, the low this morning a balmy 65 degrees well above the normals of 57 and 77 degrees, the shore is the place to be to beat the heat and humidity 66 in sea isle city and 6 in cape may and the wind is coming in off the atlantic still only in the upper 50s and that has bumped the temperatures down in millville to 80 degrees, and 83 in wilmington the warm of the spots well to the west of the ocean and temperatures now are in the upper 80s for allentown untrenton, showers and downpours are arcing their way around our region and if we look to the south and west, chicago to cincinnati, the severe weather with this system that dumped all of that heavy rain in texas

yesterday will go to canada but we'll get clipped by the southern edge of this system but it doesn't have the dynamics of severe weather, warm and hupd and 67 to 69 for the overnight low with winds relaxing a bit to 10 miles per hour, early tomorrow morning on wednesday could be a scattered downpour around and areas start dry tomorrow early in the afternoon, sun and clouds and humid and warm and we are waiting for the area west of the storms and downpours to track through and that will happen around 7:00 for the i-95 corridor and they will sink to the south and heavy downpours and a little bit of lightning in there and strong winds and hail and an isolated tornado and all the energy will remain north of the poconos. tomorrow at the shore a mixture of sun and clouds and southerly win again keeping the temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s, and a risk for
