right, it's warm and sticky. pottstown 69 degrees at this hour. coatsville 66. saint davids, 66. ken net square, 66. over the river we go into south jersey we're seeing temperatures around 66. cinnaminson, browns mills ewing gandys beach 67. buena, muggy 68 degrees this morning where we had fog earlier on, a lot of that is beginning to lift. still haze left over, once the clouds begin to pull away we'll see sunshine later this afternoon. that will help to get the temperatures up into the upper 80s, the forecast goes like this, lots of sunshine, mixed with clouds from time to time. 83 degrees by lunchtime. 3:00 p.m., 87. 6:00 p.m., 85. what you're not seeing there is how high the humidity will be. 88 degrees, that's the forecasted high. it will feel like 90 with all the humidity. sun sets at 8:22. the humidity sticks around through the duration of the

weekend, as a matter of fact it peeks -- peaks on monday. thunderstorms are possible late sunday afternoon into the evening. heavy downpours sunday night into monday. the forecast models putting out as much as 2 1/2 inches of rain by monday afternoon for parts of the area. when i see you in ten minutes we'll talk about that and we'll have cooler numbers in the forecast. >> more on the breaking news, a new jersey state trooper is dead following an accident in monmouth county. it happened on eastbound 1955 half mile east of route 539 in freehold. to put that into prospective it's in this area. "action news" learned that the trooper's cruiser hit a deer and ran off the road into the woods. one was killed and another injured and taken to the hospital in critical condition. interstate 195 is closed near

route 539 while an investigation into the crash continues. stay with "action news" for the latest on the deadly crash involving a new jersey state trooper. also new this morning an atv rider is fighting for his life following a crash in camden county. his quad collided with an suv around 12:15. the accident happened at river road and cove road. the vehicles rolled over, the atv rider was thrown on the road and hospitalized in critical condition. they are questioning the suv driver. new this morning a man was shot four times in time leg in philadelphia's logan section. the gunfire broke out in the 500 block of west duncannon street. the victim is thought to be in his 30s he was taken to einstein in serious condition. police have not announced an arrest and working on the motive. they hope neighborhood cameras provide clues. in texas more rain is

he was pronounced at the hospital. investigators say the 22-year-old mother is in the hospital her relatives living in the home are being interviewed at this point. they are not accused of anything. an autopsy will determine if the baby suffered trauma. 32-year-old rahime felder is not talking to philadelphia police. they think he carried out a sexual assault and attempted sexuality assault in south philadelphia. one crime scene is up the street from his mother's chadwick street family home. he surrendered on a probation violation. he is not charged in these attacks. police are testing gloves and sneakers and clothing and dna evidence tieing him to the ray tacks. rahime felder spent 12 years in prison for attempted murder. parents in the allentown school district are upset they are learning of an alleged rape

at the local high school and were not notified by the district. many say they learned about the sexual assault on social media. school officials are not giving out any details except to say it happened sometime in may we've learned a 15-year-old boy has been arrested for raping a 16-year-old girl in the school's basement. for the second time in a week a woman was victim idessed along the -- victimized along the radnor trail. she was near conostoga road and brook side avenue. >> she pass a white male as she passed the male she turned around as she did he dropped his running shorts down to his ankles and exposed himself on the trail. >> motorcycles officer patrolling a trail. earlier this week, a man grabbed a woman's rear end the suspect

was was arrested thursday, he is accused of slapping a woman's rear in media. amtrak is trying to return personal items to the victims of the train derailment as quickly as possible. many items fell out of luggage that were tossed around. amtrak is in the process of cataloging everything that was recovered from the wreckage. democrats who want to live in the white house want growing former maryland governor martin o'malley is expected to announce he is running later this morning. and followed by vermont governor lincoln chafee next week. the mega millions jackpot jumped to a cool $253 million. if you missed it, the numbers were 20, 27, 38, 49, 66 and the mega ball was 2.

for both days, this is the second warmest may recorded in philadelphia. records go back 125 years. it's dry, we have 1.9 inches of rain. it's 2-3/4 inches below where it should be. the drought monitor includes south jersey, we have moderate drought conditions from allentown to the poconos. lack of water is -- what we're seeing down here, in the lonestar state they picked up 10 to 20 inches of rain, that's a quarter worth of rain for what we see in an average rain. they are picking up heavy rains now you can see this complex of showers and storms, heavy downpours and thousand and thousands of lightning strikes. lack of rain to which of it to the south.

cooler temperatures. eva? >> more now on our breaking news though. a 24-year-old new jersey state police trooper was killed in an accident overnight. "action news" learned that he was killed that his police cruiser hit a deer 195 freehold monmouth county. the trooper ran off the side of the road and hit a tree. 29-year-old trooper who was in the car was injured and treated and released. the two troopers were patrolling on interstate 195 in monmouth county. they are assigned to a division in hamilton township mercer county. we'll have more on "action news" at 9:00 a.m. and 6abc.com. police are looking for two gunmen who shot a 1-year-old girl if a barrage of bullets. that girl was rushed into surgery in critical condition. two men unleashed 17 shots.

are a bullet hit the girl in the stomach she was sitting on the front steps of a neighbor's home. the bullets pierced several vehicles and bedroom window. police say the girl was not the target no word who was or why. she was taken to temple university hospital. it is new on "action news," two men were shot in the chest overnights in camden, one of the men crashed his is car at mount ephraim and kaign avenues while trying to drive to the hospital. both victims are in critical condition at cooper university hospital. the search continues for the shooter. philadelphia police are searching for answer this morning after a dead baby was taken to a hospital in a duffle bag, authorities think the baby boy was born in the home in west philadelphia. someone brought the baby in a duffle bag to the hospital of the university of pennsylvania

he was 40-year-old scott burnheisel of philadelphia. a man found the body thursday when he smelled the strong odor. police have a person of interest wanted in connection with the sexual assault and attempted sexual assault in south philadelphia in their custody. detectives are waiting on the results of dna to link rahime felder to those crimes. "action news" dann cuellar has the details. >> reporter: it was a ten thousand dollar reward and subsequently tipsters that led police to 32 rahime felder. the u.s. marshals and police raided his mother's home two blocks from the two assaults took place. it appears rahime felder was in the process of packing his bags and fled before lawmen could get there. >> how do you you feel that he is being saw the for it. >> reporter: i can't believe it.

sources say they did find gloves and sneakers and clothing that appear to match those worn in one or both attacks, the rape and robbery of a woman on monday in the 1800 block of rosewood and attempted sexual assault of a 30-year-old woman in the 1700 block of chadwick back in march. according to court records and his mother, rahime felder was released from prison after serving 12 years for attempted murder. no comment from his lawyer, but again, police are waiting for the results of dna evidence to see if rahime felder can be linked to the crimes. at special victims i'm deny dann cuellar -- channel 6 "action news." >> the an traction scare is more -- anthrax scare is more widespread than originally thought. the center for disease control prevention is testing to see which ones were live.
