the vice president. the statement says in part it's with broken heart that's holly hunter ashley, jill and i announce the passing of our husband, brother and son beau after he battled brain cancer with the same integrity, courage and strength he demonstrateded every day of his life. as a young lawyer he worked to establish the rule of law in kosovo a major in the delaware national war was iraq war veteran and awarded bronze star. he was diagnosed with brain cancer august of 20136789 he underwent a successful surgery and mb anderson in houston followed by normal course of treatment, readtion and chemo therapy a and given a clean bill of health 2013. spring of this year he suffered a recurrence and immediately sought aggressive treatment. he was admitted to walter reed earlier this week. despite a valiant fight beau biden passed away. i'm dann cuellar "channel 6 action news." >> vice-president joe biden

confirmed a report that at least four americans are being held prisoner by rebel fighters in yemen. "washington post" broke the news report citing unnamed sources being detained in the capital. that city has been bombed in order to push the rebels from power. three prisoners hold private sector jobs and the other has dubl citizenship. the senate is preparing for sunday night show down over whether it will let patriot act surveillance reports expire. three laws used to catch spies and terrorists are set to expire monday. last week the senate failed to research a deal to keep the provisions intact. u.s. attorney general said the country will face a serious lapse in national security if a deal is not reached. but opponents say privacy concerns and civil liberties trump fears over national
