scattered storms overnight with the possibility of heavier rain tomorrow. >> meteorologist melissa magee is tracking this system and joins us live with the first check of the accu weather forecast melissa. >> sarah and walter, we have been tracking the the showers and storms for a good chunk of the day showers and storms have been north and west of the i-95 corridor but they are moving south and east. we will go in tighter, on storm tracker six live double scan street level north and west of philadelphia, north and west of the i-95 corridor but activities with showers and storms firing up lightning in berks county, reading also some showers moving into fleet wood they continue to move off to the north and a east, allah even town with showers and as moisture sagging to the the south and east. so quakertown, doylestown, for areas to the south in malvern and west wood into honey brook we are currently dealing with the showers and storms. the big concern today really for rest of the overnight hours has been the flash flooding, flash flood warning has been issued that stays up

of brain cancer. >> incredibly sad. he was the nicest person. the just genuine. and he truly cared about everybody. >> he was a great person great father, great politician. i think that delaware needed him right now and where he belongs. >> reporter: two time tern general suffered minor stroke in 2010 and then for the brain cancer. he died at walter reid medical center in washington surrounded by family. patrick leonard was playing golf with biden's father in law on friday. >> it was the fifth hole and he gets this phone call, and he said he was told to get the grandchildren and get to washington. you knew it wasn't good. >> he was just a guy who was very understanding. he took the the time to listen. he acted on what he truly believed in. >> reporter: close with his father, vice-president joe biden delivering nominating speeches at two democratic conventions, beau biden leaves behind his wife haley and two children hunter and natalie.

considered a rising political star when biden left office in january he made it clear he hoped to run for governor but his brain cancer return putting an end to his political career and claiming his life. >> i'm very sorry to hear about this. i heard it at 2:00 a.m. this morning and was devastated. just too young to pass away. >> he is still on, still had some more time in this life but unfortunately we don't run the clock. >> reporter: beau biden was a major in the delaware national guard deployed to iraq and helping to create a justice system in post war kosovo. the as attorney general he championed anti bullying laws and stepped up prosecution of the child predators. the his family hopes to lay him to rest in st. joseph's cemetery close to his grandparents and mother who was killed in the crash when he was a child n greenville i'm nora muchanic for channel six "action news". as many know joe and beau biden have known more than their fair share of tragedy.

in 1972 beau lost his mother and sister in the terrible car crash. he a and his brother were nearly killed as well n fact when his father was sworn in for first term in the u.s. senate beau was still recovering so the ceremony took place at beau's bedside. meanwhile this is first time in 50 years that a sitting president or vice-president, has lost a child while in office. the last was in 1963, when john f. kennedy's prematurely born son died two days after birth. as we said beau biden was a political star on the rise after two terms as delaware's attorney general. he announced plans to explore a run for the governor's office. "action news" reporter vernon odom has reaction from the close political community in delaware. >> reporter: even though family connections gave him an obvious leg up in first state politics beau biden was deeply respected in governmental circles. he was known as a hard working hard charging attorney general for two terms decorated combat veteran in iraq and

men robbed a five two-year old man at gunpoint. rick tim handed over his money but one of the thieves shot him anyway. he was rushed to einstein hospital in critical condition. no arrests have been made. phillies fans at today's game might have noticed something unusual hovering over third base today a drone, the operated by a man outside the stadium. that man trying to get a free bird eye view of the game could now be in some hot the water. "action news" reporter annie mccormack has the store friday citizens bank park. >> reporter: philadelphia police have not charge the operator of the drone because they do not believe he was doing anything criminal, however, that does not mean he won't be charge from the faa n fact tomorrow philadelphia police plan to talk to federal authorities to see if the man will face any penalties. in the meantime he got his drone back. only "action news" was there as philadelphia police questioned this man, the the operator of this drone that according to philly security he flew somewhere above third base in the stadium full of

people. it is in the clear how high the drone made it but security inside citizens bank park spotted it, and approached, and questioned the operator when he landed it outside. philly security joined police and eagles security across the the street from the phillies stadium in front of the lincoln financial field. police say they are not sure where the operator was standing when he flew the drone, eagles security confiscated it and later returned it. the man was also questioned because he was carrying a gun but police say he has had the month permits. fans had mixed reactions about the device that police say also took pictures. >> the fact that it wasn't phillies oriented concerns me. >> i didn't expect that they brought a drone and camera to go with it. but it is a lot of effort. >> when it comes to drones faa prohibits flying over stadium and large gathering within one hour before or after an event. the sports complex is also

seven people are injured when a massive air conditioning went 28 stories to ground in manhattan this morning. officials say it is a miracle nobody was killed. as it was falling the units smashed in the building

bringing metal concrete and glass down as well. cars were hit with chunks of debris. even office chairs from inside of the high rise ended up on the sidewalk. we will have more on this story coming up at 11:35. in less than an hour nsa domestic surveillance program will expire. this is after the senate failed to reach a deal to pass a bill to extend the program. that means that after midnight the national security agency, will lose its authority to collect american's phone records. intelligent officials say that is a win for terrorist. but civil liberties groups say the program is an unconstitutional intrusion into american's privacy. the the program is likely to be revived later on this week but, it may be overhauled. secretary of state john kerry has delayed his return to the united states after breaking his leg in a bicycle crash in europe. he is staying in a hospital in switzerland tonight. state department says that, it was better for kerry to be observed overnight as a

melissa has the accu weather information was with action on the radar tonight. >> we are tracking this frontal boundary taking its time moving south and east. we have showers and storms firing up an it is on back to work on monday, guys, so we will show you storm tracker six live double scan radar. you can see showers inching closer and closer to philadelphia but a lot of the action tonight has been north and west of the corridor. we will go in tighter on storm tracker six double scan street level we have showers and storms closer to chester

county. we are seeing thunderstorms to the west of norristown, south there in malvern and move over in berks county, showers and storms and even, press nothing to fleet wood, allentown, quakertown, green lane. so a lot of the activity tonight has been across upper bucks, northampton montgomery counties, and points to the north and west. we have already seen widespread thunderstorms probably flash flooding and this will be a concern throughout the rest of the overnight hours and throughout the day on monday. so that flash flood watch has been posted, it stays up until 2:00 in the morning. this is for upper bucks northampton, lehigh counties, berks counties and up through poconos. some of these locations have seen in excess of 2 inches of rain in the short amount of time. thises a concern where we have localized flooding. after 2:00 in the morning showers and storms will start to tea crease and intensity but until that time watch out for heavy downpours. if you net is where those thunderstorms are having an impact on our temperature it

is 58 degrees in philadelphia rain cooled air moving in allentown as well at 65. 77 degrees in philadelphia. seventy-four in dover. sixty-five along the the coast there in beach haven. here is also the part of the problem. very warm and very humid today. anytime you have dew point temperatures in the upper 60's to close to 70, humid not oppressive in some locations yet we have building warmth and humidity clashing with the cool front that gets closer to our region for rest of tonight and during overnight hours as well. satellite six with action radar showing you the best dynamic so far have been north and west of our region but as this frontal boundary continues to dip down to the south and east we will get into more of the activity as we get in the day on monday. we will time it out. future tracker six showing you during overnight hours we have the the showers and storms firing up, and i wouldn't be surprised with so much moisture in the atmosphere early tomorrow morning. we have a spot shower or then are storm popping up. the best dynamic will be once that cold front arrives and
