we have showers and thunderstorms creeping through the region this morning. in some cases these have produced some high water on some roadways especially in parts of delaware county. new as castle county, delaware where we have showers and thunderstorms activity. you're definitely hearing rumbles of thunder and lightning strikes and related thupdner new castle county and across the river in cumberland and gloucester and over by the shore still waiting for this line of heavier rain and thunderstorms to push off surf city. northern and western suburbs seeing a bit of this we have lingering flood advisories this morning one in newcastle county where we see the rain this morning. another unto the side of trenton and additional flood advisories are dropped on the i 59 corridor. more issued laider today as another round of heavy rain is expected. you don't see that on radar now. there's breaks out to the west and we'll get into a portion of the day where we're looking at clouds and sun. and temperatures this morning warm and muggy. 71 degrees currently in philadelphia. you see that number changing live on the air. 68 degrees in wilmington and 61

allentown and cooler up north and 65 ina sea isle city on the muggy side up there. heading to the school bus carrie-ann umbrella in case you're in one of those areas. 75 by 8:00. muggy this morning. as rewol through the someday 78 by 9:00 and a lull in through 9 and maybe up to noon with additional showers developing at noon. by 3:00, 82. coming down from high of 83. a little better chance of showers and thunderstorms and further we go through the afternoon up through the dinner hour and beyond. better chance more of the area has of seeing rain showers with potential related flooding. i'll have nor on future tracker 6. >> that looks like a wet road of trouble. >> you can see ponding and puddleing on the road. look that guy facing the correct me if i am wrong write. facing headlights of police officer. it's up to the shoulder here. a wrong way driver in i-95

delaware county near 420. this is northbound traffic watch for it offer to the side dangerous to have someone facing the wrong way and water on the roadway as we see reflection in headlights. be careful as you travel. i want to switch not far off and show what you it looks like on blue route. we have a shot of blue route. you can see the rain coming down there as well. you need to be careful as you head out dealing with poppeding and puddleing on the roadway with this rain that still keeps coming down at this point. so causing problems through the area. there i-95, here on the blue route near macdade and we can see the southbound traffic coming right here and as cars pass by look at all the rain splashing back on the road. at this point we have light volume and once we factor in heavier volume you have that thrown on the windshield. downed trees in the area and this in upper providence. fire police on hand directing traffic at the the scene route 1 media bypass at 252 just about

thing to watch for this morning tam. >> thank you karen. breaking this morning, smoke and flames break through i've homes in chester. let's go to katherine scott live at the scene 400 block of -- place good morning katherine. >> reporter: this is second fire in a vacant home on this block within the past week. you can see fire crews are wrapping up here. there's some firefighters that remain on the scene putting out hot spots and making sure there's not any fire within the walls here. no firefighters or civilians were injured. four houses were damaged by flames and one has smoke damage. the fire cause called in 1:30 this morning 400 block of bikly and heavy flames were coming from first and second floors of the home. the flames spread along the roof

line. investigators are trying to determine the cause around ten people having been moved from their home. this woman's aunt was one of them. >> it was tragic. my -- it was friday night. it was a fire at the first house and now tonight another fire or second one. >>reporter: and just last friday there was a fire in another vacant homethon block. the cause of that fire is under investigation. again we're starting to see fire crews pull away from the scene here and investigators remain and there's working done to put out the hot spots. live in chester, katherine scott, "channel 6 action news." >> thank you for that. developing this morning pennsylvania state police are on the scene of deadly tractor-trailer crash in upper saucon township, lehigh county, westbound lanes of i 78, 1 a.m. both sides of highway are shut down for now. we do not yet know how many vehicles and how many people are

involved. >> the whitehouse says vice-president joe biden will be in delaware today to mourn loss of bow who died saturday from brain cancer. family connections gave him obvious leg up in first-state politics and still he was deeply respected in political circles known as hard charging attorney general of delaware and decorated combat veteran in iraq and devoted father and family man. >> beau biden was be loved in delaware. extraordinarily popular. in fact the most popular elected official in the state and that's because of who he was and how he car questioned himself. he worked for. it he earned it. >> beau was 46 years old and announced a plan to run for governor of delaware next year. >> you heard from governor jack markell he ordered flags flown at half staff to honor beau biden. he was in elsmere where the u.s. flag and delaware state plaque

to erase images citing intellectual property. he fully cooperated. fans have mixed reactions. >> the fact it was not philly's or rent yepted concerns me. >> i think it's kind of cool they invested in the fact that they bought a drone and bought the camera to go with it. it's a lot of effort. >> faa prohibits flying drones over stadiums within app hour of event. sports complex is also within a restricted zone that includes philadelphia international airport. the drone operator could face penalties from the faa. just a mild distraction from how bad phillys are playing. >> we'll have more on that on "action news". >> i went to two this weekend that didn't see a lot of scoring. stormtracker 6 showing rain in some neighborhoods. i apologize because that specific image is not picking it up now. here is the rain. it's pushing in through philadelphia now and extending back through delaware county where our traffic cameras are showing us lots of heavy rain over the last half hour or so.

in wilmington you're seeing heavy downpours and also thunder occasionally in the area of wilmington back out to the west near oxford in chester county and although oxford itself appears drewing out now and there's a couple of lightning bolts showing up recently in areas of south jersey near glassboro. newspaper philadelphia it's mainly showers. and if i start this up for you you can see how it is pushing up northeast fairly quickly and as we go over the next hour or so we'll probably start to get on the other side of that in philadelphia. i wanted to give you the wide view as well. we still are looking at cluster of downpour producing thunderstorms north of surf city and pushing off the coast of north jersey away from bellmar and northern and western suburbs a couple of aiditional showers from allentown down through pottstown and also pushing towards the east. the rain up north obviously not quite as bad as we look outside we have cloudy skies across the region and a little bit of brightening as we look north from atlantic city along the coast. and as of course, out in that direction we are looking at those thunderstorms starting to

push away. 71 degrees is your current temperature in philadelphia, it's muggy. just the way it was all weekend. 68 wilmington. more comfortable in allentown 61 there and 6 sea isle city. future tracker 6 showing you between now and end of rush hour we are expecting this current batch of rain to break up and then through the morning hours we get into mainly a lull. maybe something popping in northern and western suburbs by noon. back to about 3bg especially in the north there will be another chance of showers redeveloping some of these could produce heavy downpours on the way home. some of the kids might want umbrells as in case and by the time we head to 6:00 a frontal boundary iset gooding closer us to and we'll redevelop more showers up and down the i-95 corridor. more of this comes in between 6 and 11:00 tonight and just about any time where this stuff is hitting it could produce heavy downpour producing showers and thunderstorms and you want to be careful of street flooding. allentown today, periods of rain and thunderstorm possible.

74 the forecast high. still muggy up in the lehigh valley. and down the shore we're going for high of 79 degrees. warm and humid, rain thunderstorm not out of the question and in philadelphia, 83 degrees is your high. warm and mug write with at times pockets of heavy rain and thunderstorms. as we roll throughout day. high of 83 comes early, 2:00 this afternoon. and then after midnight tonight into tomorrow morning additional showers. but honestly overall tomorrow's rain looks mainly in morning and light. some of us, however along the way today and tonight could see as much as or 3" of rain maybe more. so i can not stress enough once the heavy pockets come in be careful of street flooding. and today's high, 83. muggy, periods of heavy rain especially later in the day once we get rid of current batch we're dealing with and tomorrow rain drying and high of 70. much cooler and starting to feel more comfortable. wednesday and thursday look like winners with highs in mid 7 0s.

>> just about 5: 15thon monday. we have wet runways at philadelphia international airport. many of us in the delaware and lehigh valleys are seeing rain falling right now. >> and that can mean a really tough commute. let's go to karen rogers. good morning. >> there's a lot of ponding on the roadway. it's not just rain it's heavy rain causing the issue now. now we're looking live at a different problem here. i-95 near the airport southbound traffic right here. we have three disabled vehicles all within this area. here we're seeing two of them in this camera shot. there's another one up just ahead. you add heavy rain and i'm not sure if there's something in the roadway here. three disabled vehicles on i-95 southbound all happening now near the airport. be careful in you're in this area and watch you're not a fourth disabled vehicle stuck out there now. other problems in the area an accident is here on the new jersey turnpike blocking left lane if you head northbound near

exit five. so watch for that for burlington mount holly accident blocking left lane on the new jersey turnpike. we have a couple of accidents this morning already i think it's volume building and with this heavy rain you may have more here. there's a sink hole in new jersey causing a problem in berlin. westbound whilingt horse pike ramp to hadden avenue route 561 blocked you have to use cross keys road exit instead. problems there on the westbound white horse pike off ramp causing problems this morning right now. and i want to show you the rain. this is stormtracker 6 live double scan with a close-up view. we're seeing a few things. look at the areas of yellow. lightning flashes near wilmington and heavy areas of rain. we see red showing good downpours happening here and yellow near glassboro route 55 as you head up and into the city deal with heavy rain in mays landing we have another cell here producing lightning as well as off the coastline. look what is happening north of surf city. you have a heavy ceel here areas

of red and joel owe and lightning strike in the past few minutes. heavy rain causing ponding on the roadway in many areas, tam. >> thank you karen. >> dramatic video shows a circus acrobat falling into seating area during a performance in houston texas the female performer is expected to be okay. it happened tuesday during a show by the vasquez brother's surface. the performers failed to properly latch a safety cord during that true routine and car hopped the curb and smashed into wall of term that at los angeles international airport yesterday a 9-year-old girl standing on sidewalk was city beingly injured and driver and male passenger had non life-threatening injuries. it's possible the driver miss took the gas pedal for brake. >> colorado rockies swept the phillies. they lost the last game-1. they dropped 7 straight for first time in two years. phillies begun a home series with the reds tomorrow night.
