talk about all this rain and karen rogers as your commute. good morning. >> we talked yesterday morning about we were going to get another lamp round of rain in the afternoon and evening. it did happen. even though the vein dying down, no more thunderstorms out there, we are still looking a the runoff from the rain overnight causing continued problems. so active showers and areas south of philadelphia mostly a little bit around the city and the northern suburbs but a flash flood watch still in effect until 6 o'clock this morning because of the heavy rain overnight and last night and all of that runoff is still getting into some small creeks and streams and still draining away from some roadways. remember, if you are driving around anywhere in the i-95 corridor, down toward the shore and you encounter flooded conditions turn ash round and find another way. better to be late than sorry. rain runoff still an issue until about 6 o'clock. we still have a flood advisory as swell this morning mainly in south jersey and the southern two-thirds of delaware where the heaviest rain fell. some areas getting over 4-inches of rain. roads and streams still an

issue down here so while there is the potential of running into a little flooding action in the i-95 corridor the worst problem is down south this morning. here is satellite and radar. there you can see the last of the heavy showers and thunderstorms coming through yesterday. we actual hal what we call a super cell storm in new castle delaware that popped into parts of south jersey. no tornado confirmed out of that butter there was a tornado warning for a short time last night so a lot of stuff happening last night. as we look out to the west a lot of cloud cover, spotty showers on their way in during the day today. it's cool this morning 56 degrees in philadelphia, 59 in millville, 57 in wilmington. you'll feel that as soon as you step outside and as we head outside to the bus stop this morning, some of you might want an umbrella as we are looking at cool conditions and some spotty showers around as you just saw on storm tracker. karen, later on this afternoon we are going for a high of only about 63 degrees. i'll have more on that coming up. >> all right, some big changes there. you can see the raindrops still on the camera lens as we're looking in delaware county on the blue

route at baltimore pike. the blue route drying out at this point. all opened this morning unlike yesterday morning which had to shut down for awhile the blue route northbound. things looking better with no problems between 95 and the schuylkill. we have flooding out here. david mentioned we'll see this in spots. what was we're seeing in it chesilhurst in camden county on the white horse pike route 30 westbound approaching hendrick street so watch for that. it's out there blocking the right lane. blocking the left lane we've got flooding here in franklin township in gloucester county right on harding highway that the route 40 at tuckahoe road so watch for that. in ocean county an overnight accident cleared on the garden state parkway southbound at waretown road and drying out on route 42 with light volume so far but you need to be careful matt and tam and expect flooded roadways still in some points. >> we're glad we have you here to help people get through it. camden county fire investigators are looking for clues after three cars suspiciously caught fire. "action news" reporter katherine scott is live for us in pennsauken township. she's got details.

good morning katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam, that's right, there were three car fires within blocks of each other all within an hour. two of the cars have already been towed but you can see we're standing by a mercedes here in pennsauken on woodland. it's dark but you can see the flat tires on that vehicle and police are investigating this one. the first fire was reported around 1:15 this morning on the 3900 block of royal avenue in pennsauken township. you could see the windows were broken thousand car shattered glass was in the street. police the fire department were on the scene. another fire was reported six minutes later about a block away on woodland avenue. the mercedes was cordon off. you can see investigators collecting evidence as they took stock of the damage. not far from there over at garden and highland in camden, word of a third fire came in and you can see scorch marks and pieces of the car in the street after it was towed. no injuries were reported in any of these fires but the

motive here remains under investigation and police want to hear from you if you have any tips. we're live in pennsauken, katherine scott, channel6 "action news." >> thanks, katherine. new this morning, the delaware attorney general's office has ruled two state troopers were justified in using deadly force against an armed robbery suspect last year. police say 41-year-old william mcnulty led them on a high speed chase last november which ended in claymont. authorities say he refused to surrender using his stolen vehicle to try to ram police cruisers and even accelerating in reverse towards them. the troopers then shot and killed mcnulty. a report issued yesterday cleared those troopers. also in delaware a stray bullet narrowly missed a sleeping baby. a man in his 20's was shot on the unit block of bedford drive in edgemont. police say one of the fired rounds then went into a nearby home and struck a crib where a child was sleeping.

the child was not hurt. new castle county police are looking for two people who reason from the scene. >> happening today the u.s. house transportation committee will hold a hearing. they're looking into the amtrak derailment in philadelphia that killed eight people. the train was traveling twice the posted speed limit and derailed on a curve. amtrak had not installed automatic speed controls. the ntsb says those controls could have prevented the crash. a day after derailment a committee voted to reduce amtrak's funding in the next fiscal year. funeral arrangements have yet to be announced for former delaware attorney general beau biden. his young are brother hunter arrived at saint joseph's on the brandywine yesterday which is the biden family church. many expect beau biden to be buried at the church in greenville alongside his mother and grandparents. the president of delaware's naacp remembered biden's devotion. >> he wasn't like his father. he didn't have a streak in his

>> relentless rains have caused flash flooding around the region. the action cam was in williamstown, gloucester county, when the skies opened up along route 322 and sicklerville road. the water couldn't drain fast enough and minor flooding developed in minutes. and this road in newark, delaware turned in a creek. more rains could be on the way

just not this much. >> david you were just saying we'll start to see this clear out. >> yeah, it's going to be damp today with spotty showers but we're not going the see the heavy rain we saw yesterday. storm tracker six live double scan shows you it's fairly spotty precipitation right now. if i go in tighter we have very light rain that's enough to make the roads wet all over again. just to the west of wilmington and this stuff is on the move to some degree this morning pushing up from the southwest up towards the northeast. looks like philadelphia during the morning rush hour might pick up a little bit more of that but generally this is not as bad as it was last night. as we look outside we have cloudy skies. obviously still damp conditions and the clouds a little bit low obscuring the tops of the tallest buildings in center city philadelphia as we check out sky six looking south along broad street. 56 degrees is your current temperature. it is much cooler as you step out and notice that the dewpoint is down below 60 so it doesn't feel nearly as humid. kind of refreshing out there. unfortunately some of you dealing with a shower.

north-northeast wind at 16 miles per hour. as we look at satellite and radar looks like the clouds hang tough today. at time we'll see spotty shower activity coming through but it's that heavy rain last night that's caused us the problems and in some cases still looking at the some high water on some roadways. record rain on monday. philadelphia got up to 1.96, wilmington 3.8-inches, atlantic city 2.22 the heaviest rain using storm tracker six double scan technology shows you right around hammonton and down through buena 5-inches, up to 6-inches in this bullet area highlighted in purple an lot of the rest of the region in the three to 4-inch range. some of these lighter shades only about 2-inches but it's down in south jersey in particular where we have the lingering flooding problems and again a flash flood watch still in effect until 6 o'clock this morning because of runoff from all of that overnight rain. future tracker six showing that us that as we go through today what we see is going to be much lighter, just spotty precipitation. by 6 o'clock we'll probably be

mainly try maybe the skies brightening slightly. by 11 o'clock there's a chance of a seconds shower popping through especially down south. where are temperatures going today? we showed you it will be cloudy and damp at advertisements it's also going to be cooler. 53 by 8 o'clock, 56 by 11 o'clock 2 o'clock 62, your high of 63 probably around 3 o'clock this afternoon and by 5 o'clock we're back down to 61 degrees. high temperatures across the region only about 60 in allentown, low 60's down the shore and low 60's in the i-95 corridor with those spotty showers. your exclusive accuweather 7-day scattered showers today, not a washout. flood waters receding as we speak and hopefully by the end of the rush hour we will not have anything left over other than just damp road indications where those showers are drying up. 63 is today's high. tomorrow it could still be a little bit damp with an occasional spotty showers, a high of 68. some sun will be working its way back in at times and then clouds to sun on thursday and a nice afternoon with a high of 69. on friday we are getting warmer again maybe a little

bit more humid, 79 the high and a slight chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm popping up. not a washout on friday, though. same thing on saturday. clouds and sun a high of 80, a spotty storm possible and by sunday partly sunny skies with just a slight chance of a passing shower and a high back down to 76. >> okay, thank you david. new this morning the oklahoma highway patrol is released dash cam video in the deadly police-involved shooting of a man last friday. the family says 35-year-old nehemiah fisher an assistants pastor and older brother were pulling their trucks from the flood waters. police say they were being told to leave a flooded area. the video shows nehemiah fisher wrestling with the officer before being shot to death. his brother was arrested for public intoxication. the deadly shooting remains under investigation. also new police in florence kentucky are taking a look after a passerby caught video avenue child left al flown a truck. the passerby says the driver left his son in the back seat while he stopped into a hardware store.

>> ♪♪ >> welcome back on your tuesday morning. expect to encounter a lot of wet roadways as we're trying to dry out and some flooded areas as well as that water continues to try to recede. looking at 95 at girard, no extra overnight construction because of the weather so they didn't have any of that. new northbound traffic pattern debuted over the weekend. don't forget that with lanes now in the center. in marlton we've got a problem here, an accident where a vehicle ran into a pole. we've got emergency crews on the scene now on route 70 westbound between 73 and cropwell road so watch for that one with restrictions in that area. also here in new jersey in camden county, we've got flooding blocking the right lane on the white horse pike westbound approaching hendrix

street and parts of south jersey were hit particularly hard so we're seeing areas that are flooded out there like here in franklin township in gloucester county, we've got flooding blocking the left lane right on route 40 harding highway westbound near tuckahoe road. i know it's never fun being late to work but you can't cross those flooded roadways. be careful as you're headed out. prepare to hit them especially in south jersey this morning tam. >> thank you karen. new here on "action news" this is a different kind of smash and grab inside a san francisco bmw dealership. a bandit managed to get behind the wheel of a pricey vehicle and sped right out of the store and he did it by crashing through a window. look at the mess he left behind. but his luck didn't last long. the car jumped a sidewalk and slammed into several cars. it stopped when it crashed into a wall. the thief gave chase and was arrested a short time later. >> screeners with the transportation security administration failed a number of tests designed to challenge their ability to identify explosives or weapons. homeland security employees

a fake dui check point police say the 19-year-old impersonated the state trooper outsidey using a portable scanner flares handcuffs an bb gun. he set up his roadblock in a lincoln neighborhood saturday evening. he stopped one car. the authorities think he was drunk at the time. >> on the people scene cincinnati bengals player devon still and his daughter lea will be honored at next month's espies. the pair will receive the perseverance award as lea battles with cancer. the five-year-old was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma one year ago. in march still took to instagram to announce lea's cancer was in remission. she's currently suffering complications with her treatment. devon still a former player at penn state is asking for prayers for his daughter. >> it's 4:57. developing this morning a cruise down china's river takes a disastrous turn when a boat capsizes.
