police want to get to the man before he strikes again. good morning 5:30, thursday, karen is off matt pellman is here along with david murphy. >> reporter: good morning, everybody, we have sprinkles and showers through south jersey and wilmington. trying to push through philadelphia. they are in the process of thinning out. showers coming from the south trying to make it up to the city and kind of falling apart right around philadelphia today. cloudy skies, as well, the farther north you go through the region for the second straight day, the better chance you have of seeing sunny breaks later on, but overall fairly cloudy. 58 in philadelphia. 55 in allentown, 56 in trenton. we have a flow coming down from the northeast with a gentle light breeze keeping us cool and below average. 56 degrees by 6:00 p.m. 60 by 8:00 a.m. cloudy skies and cool, and, of course, a little damp in areas south of philadelphia.

girlfriend. she is cooperating with them as he they try to bring a guy in who left a 3-year-old in the car with a gun. police swarmed the area in upper darby after a traffic stop led to a chase in delaware county. the driver ditched his car leaving a 3-year-old boy and a gun inside. >> they left the kid in the car. >> reporter: it all began at 7:00 p.m. between 67 and locust. police pulled over a chevy impala that a emblem blocking the license plate. the driver fled. the driver was running behind an apartment complex when police returned to the car they spotted the little boy in the back seat and handgun in plain view in the front. >> the 3-year-old kid has good motor skills we're fortunate he did not pick the gun up it's not

quickly. the northern suburbs have nothing to worry about today. as we go through the rest of the afternoon at 6:00 p.m. sunny breaks here and there but a lot of clouds winning the day. the temperatures cool again 60 degrees by 8:00 a.m. 6464 by 11:00 a.m. 67 is the high before dipping back down to 65. like yesterday we'll spend most of the time in the 60s. 65 in allentown and 64 in millville. mainly cloudy and spotty shower around. as we take a look at phillies baseball tonight trying to sweep the cincinnati reds, cloudy and cool, 64 for the first pitch and 61 in the 9th inning. tomorrow, more clouds, sprinkles early. in the afternoon we're hoping for brightening of things. the shower chance is in the morning, future tracker 6 is showing a little bit late in the day, as well.

that's a viable option. another good option could be to jump on the blue route northbound to mid county and jump on the turnpike westbound to valley forge, that way you'll miss the whole delay on the westbound side of the schuylkill expressway. of course we'll keep watching that and we'll be watching a serious truck accident in bordentown, burlington county. the tractor-trailer flipped over and caught on fire happening in the southbound lanes approaching exit 7 route 206. that's the spot where you have the car and truck lanes. it's the car lanes that are blocked you have the truck lanes getting by at this point. tractor-trailer accident you want to avoid that stretch if you can there could be delays. in folsom, atlantic county we have bridge demolition work going on through the end of the month on the black horse pike. stick with 74 use jackson road or route 40. pleasantville delilah road westbound is closed today and tomorrow.

egg harbor township mill road eastbound closing from 9 to # p.m. site -- 3:00 p.m. zion road gets you around that. a man in his 20s died after colliding with a police cruiser. police say the man was wanted for an armed robbery and took off on the bike and ran into the cruiser on the bike. a neighborhood resident who did not want to be identified is telling a different story. >> the cop turned in the alley and hit some guy on a bike and didn't hesitate to stop kept going ran him clean over. >> chester police say the plan ran into the patrol car. he was rushed to crozer-chester medical center where he was pronounced dead. we have new information about the terror arrest in boston. police say usaama rahim killed by officers wanted to bee held pamela geller.
