appearance. this is the third and final run here at the bmx dirt final brought to you commercial-free by monster energy. >> daniel sandoval is currently sitting in ninth. >> big 360 tailwhip to tuck no-hander. putting together a good solid run. double tailwhip. 360 bar spin to tailwhip. great, great run for daniel sandoval. >> compared to what we saw of him in that first round, kevin, with that 86 flat do you think this will compare to that first run score? >> i think it's going to bump him up a bit. let's see right here 360 tailwhip to late bar spin.
6:01 pm
>> that is a lot to keep track of as you're coming around. feet reaching for his pedals and rides away. let's see what he gets. going to end up with 86.33, his best score. it doesn't move him up into place. >> you need an 89 to get into the top three right now. our top three scores are all 89 flats. here comes pat casey for his third and final attempt. >> pat casey is up on his feet. he wants to hear from the crowd. >> see what went wrong here.
6:02 pm
looked like he slipped his pedals both feet. >> that's a double decade. going for double decade. that's two times around. pat casey rolling the dice here in that third and final run. here comes t.j. ellis who's currently sitting in 11th place right now, his best score thus far an 84 flat from round one. >> no-handed backflip by t.j. no-handed 360, one of my favorite tricks. i love seeing it. >> getting speed for that last jump. front flip tailwhip comes up short. underrotates just a hair. he's up on his feet. >> he made that trick the first time around but rode it out and then ended up stepping out. here he has to throw it away.
6:03 pm
>> sometimes that's the best decision. if you stay on the bike it might end up worse. it's better to get rid of that bike. >> tough break there for t.j. there's a shot of your current second place position rider right now. this is chris doyle. i'm going to nickname him mr. natural. looks comfortable on these dirt jumps. massive turndown. just cranks out that 360. chris doyle style. >> looking at highlights here. 360 tailwhip. lands it smooth. bar spin three. going over that roller.

6:06 pm
>> ryan definitely capable of doing it. the big 720. stay solid, ryan. just spinning those bars so natural. just lost the speed. had a hangup lost the speed, not able to get over that second-to-last set. ryan spins those bars so naturally, so comfortable, those bars spinning around, catches him every time perfect. >> your defending gold medallist in third place. there's your current leader right there, mike clark. getting those guys their best run scores all 89s. the first tiebreaker process we bring in all five scores average them together and that's how we've broken the tie and seeded them in their positions
6:07 pm
they're currently in but it's still not over. three riders left to go. brandon dosch, the returning bronze medallist. >> brandon dosch, you know he wants to improve. the 720. lost his speed, kind of saved it though. the toboggan. triple tailwhip for that last set. he had that troubling spot was able to save it. i don't think that's enough to crack into that top three with the likes of what we've seen out of baldock doyle and clark. >> he definitely wanted to bump up. looked like he struggled, right there, the triple tailwhip. it caught as his feet get on the pedals. watch as the bike is coming around. you see his arms whipping that bike around. looking for those pedals. watch his feet back wheel is on
6:08 pm
and then he's putting his feet on. >> he gets into the 80s this time. he'll be in 14th. two riders left to go. a fan gets to leave with a souvenir. gets dosch's bike right there. that's a nice souvenir. this is the last man that can shake up our top three. it's ben wallace. your silver medallist from last year sitting in sixth place. coming out with a big double. just hung up a little bit. >> it's all down to this gentleman here, kyle baldock. coming in two-time defending gold medallist. there's your current leader mike clark. it comes down to this last run. we know who's leaving with medals. the question is what color are they going to be? he got the win in foz do iguacu
6:09 pm
brazil in 2013, the win last year the first time x games was held in austin texas. can he make it three in a row or is mike clark goes to get the win? it comes down to this last run. >> big tuck, no-hander, spreading those hands out. >> bar spin back, late no hafrnder. getting speed on that roller. a triple tailwhip. that no-handed front flip to end it. will this be enough? it was a solid run. do you think it's solid enough to best an 89? >> this is going to be close. triple tailwhip going around three times. spinning the opposite two times. that front flip no-hander taking those hands off while flipping forward. look at this. no hands.
6:10 pm
spreading them out. coming around, such a great run for kyle. >> the question now, is it going to be enough to overtake that 89? we talked about the tiebreaker process. there's your current leader on the left. that's kyle baldock, the defending gold medallist on the right. the this is the podium. who's getting the gold? mike clark or kyle baldock? there's our three podium guys right now just waiting on the judges judges. such good camaraderie y. they're supporting each other, still waiting on the judges. this is a tough decision. they're talking it over. on the right of kyle baldock, your park gold medallist from yesterday, daniel sand yoeflovalsandoval.
6:11 pm
a big congratulations to him. still waiting on that score. >> letting the drama build. their hearts are pounding for sure. needs better than 89 if he's going to overtake that top spot. or is mike clark taking over his first ever x games gold? i'm happy to see chris doyle. he's such a natural dirt rider. it's awesome to see him up in that podium spot. what do you think? while we're waiting, everyone is waiting, in your opinion, do you think it's enough to overtake mike clark? >> it's going to be enough? it's a 90! >> our x games dirt bmx gold medallist once again kyle baldock. he makes it three in a row and he ties the previous streak set
