our developing story out of salem county, new jersey the hit-and-run of a teenager. the action cam was at the scene hook road and lee avenue in pennsville. the 17-year-old victim was heading home to his house on a skate board when the car hit him. they found key evidence of the car scattered along the road. we have the description of the vehicle being the high -- hianda with serious front end damage. the high school football player is in critical condition at christiana hospital in delaware with head injuries and other injuries. if you have information

pennsville police want you to give them a call. police are looking for a vehicle that hit an 18-year-old leaving him in critical condition struck in the 3100 block of ridge avenue in strawberry mansion. the victim was rushed to hanheman university hospital. when police get any clues on the vehicle or the driver we'll pass that along. >> new overnight philadelphia police say a robber tried to hold up an off-duty police officer. it happened in brewerytown around 1:00 had a. a robber pulled a rifle on the officer and his girlfriend that's when the officer grabbed his own gun and fired five shots. no word if the suspect was shot. he got away, but police say they do have his gun. glb rescue workers and family members and others held a tearful memorial service for those lost in a chinese river cruise ship disaster. 431 people died when the eastern star overturned on the yangtze river last week. crews lifted the ship out of the river on friday. 14 survived. they attributed the overturning to severe winds and placed the

captain and engineer in the police custody. the manhunt of the teenage couple referred to as the modern day bonnie and clyde is over. authorities say the 15-year-old and 16-year-old were armed when they crashed a stolen vehicle and tried to make a run for it before being caught. they were captured after a 6 day crime spree across three states. they entered a injured a police officer before getting away. >> i could see him accelerating, my leg started dragging right in front of the tire. >> the teens are behind bars in west virginia. they are being investigated for crimes that include armed robbery and car theft and fleeing from police. >> federal aviation officials are looking into an accident involving two southwest airline planes in a california airport.

today promises to be a lot nicer than yesterday. yesterday you had a few heavy-hitting thunderstorms and drenching downpours across cape may county, wildwood picked up 1.3 inches of rain with the downpours. today, sunny skies, really really nice, passing clouds, not a big deal. high tide around noon, seas 2 to 4 feet. the winds out of the south/southeast ten to 15 miles per hour. slightly breezy, but not a big deal. perfect finish to the weekend. when i come back we'll talk about the potential of drenching downpours, it could trigger flooding issues around the area. and then it turns hot. i'll have the details coming up. guys? >> developing out of north philadelphia, a man is in the hospital after he was shot just as he was opening the front door of his home. the action cam was on the scene of the early-morning shooting 3000 block of fairfax street. the 30-year-old man was shot in the back. he was taken to temple

university hospital in critical condition. police say the bullet that struck the victim went through his body and was found on his living room floor. investigators are not saying if they have uncovered any motives or suspects. these are new pictures of escape route two convicted killers used to break out of a new york state prison. they used power tools to cut through steam pipes that led to a manhole outside the prison. 38-year-old richard matt and 38-year-old david sweat pulled off an elaborate sophisticated escape. police say it's crucial they find the men quickly. >> they are dangerous and we want to make sure they don't inflict any more pain or harm. >> the prisoners left the note behind with a message have a nice day. investigators are trying to

determine how the two men got their hands on power tools. police in camden county have found a body of a man they say murdered his ex-girlfriend. he hanged himself at the home of another ex-girlfriend. he apparently snuck inside after the woman left the home. chad perdelli has more. >> reporter: the outside of carole browne's home is adorned with birthday balloons. she would have been 40 years old, but there are no cheers, a closer look at the driveway, blood stains the i don't know -- concrete. police say her ex-boyfriend michael eitel attacked and stabbed her outside her home. friends remembered her as a gentle soul. >> she was a wonderful girl. very loving. three years ago her husband died in a motorcycle crash. friends say after his death his
