a massive manhunt is underway new york state. hris sowers is outside a beautiful day. >> reporter: it doesn't get any better thoon this. comfortable humidity levels. temperatures in the 70s. wilmington, 72. dover, 72. shorepoints in the mid 60s right now because you have a nice little sea breeze blowing in. the ocean temperature is 61. that will keep the shore communities cooler than inland locations. it's a picture-perfect afternoon around the delaware valley. satellite and radar we're picking up high thin clouds developing in places like reading, lancaster pottstown seeing just a few wispy cirrus

clouds. accuweather says expect a lot of sunshine today. fantastic finish to the weekend. sunshine and passing high clouds. 78 degrees that's the forecasted high when all is said and done, normally we should be around 80. now things will change a little bit as we get into tomorrow evening. most of tomorrow is quiet. if you have outdoor for monday you'll be okay. after 6:00 p.m., a line of storms run through here are and some of them have the potential of being severe. we'll focus on that and downpours could be a threat. there's a possibility of minor street flooding with some of the thunderstorms. we'll talk about that the seven-day forecast when i see you guys and in about ten minutes. >> police in salem county, new jersey are looking for the driver who hit a high school football and kept going. >> it happened when the 17-year-old was heading home

from his girlfriend's house. katherine scott is live at the scene in pennsville with the latest. good afternoon katherine. >> reporter: good afternoon erin and nydia. the victim has severe head injuries and injuries to the lower extremities. he is in christiana hospital in critical condition. he was riding his skate board when he was struck. >> sitting in my living room at 1:30 i heard the bang. when he heard the noisy thought an animal was hit. he soon realized the victim was a 17-year-old boy. >> i seen the lights, i walked down there and police officers were telling the boy to hang on the help is on the way. >> teen was riding a skate board home from his girlfriend's house when he was struck. the victim is said to be an

the driver took off and heading westbound on girard avenue from ridge. >> the search is on for a gunman who try to rob an off-duty philadelphia police officer overnight forcing the officer to fire his own gun several times. it happened on the 1400 block of north myrtlewood street in the brewy town section. the off the duty officer and his girlfriend were approached by a mantua rifle who tried to rob the couple before 2:00 a.m. the officer fired his weapon five times and the man ran off. police recovered a rifle from the scene. in north philadelphia, police are searching for a gunman who tried to rob a man of his jewelry. a 57-year-old man was shot in the thigh. he was attached around midnight. the two men struggled over a necklace the would-be robber pulled out a gun and fired and ran off. the victim is in stable condition. now not daring prison break

in new york state two convicted killers are on the run after escaping from a maximum security prison, authorities say they did it using power tools. >> reporter: this morning an all-out manhunt for two killers on the loose. u.s. marshals and fbi and hundreds ever state and local officers setting up a road block, searching with k89s and helicopter going door to door. >> be on the look out for two escapees from the correctional facility. >> reporter: richard matt convicted of kidnapping and beating a man to death and dismembering him and david sweat behind bars for killing a sheriff's deputy shooting him 22 times. escaping from a maximum security prison. >> they are dangerous. >> reporter: the men last seen at bedtime late friday night in

driver hit a high school football player and took off. it happened as the 17-year-old was heading home from his girlfriend's house. katherine scott is live on the scene in pennsville with the latest. >> reporter: good afternoon erin and nydia. we talked to people who said he is outgoing an athletic and often seen on his skate board. now he is in surgery after being a victim of a hit-and-run on hook road. word spread quickly that the pennsville memorial high school student was the victim of a hit run. the teen was riding home from his girlfriend's house around 1:30 when he was hit by a car on hook road near lee avenue. the driver took off. neighbors heard the crash. >> they never stopped or slowed down. a couple of minutes later i seen lights and walked down there he was in the road. >> reporter: the victim is an

in the shooting. bullet casings riddled the entrance to wharton square park after a shooting that left a man in critical condition. it happened at 24th an reid streets. police say a 24-year-old man was shot up to 17 times. he was rushed to penn presbyterian hospital. no arrests have been mailed. police in camden county say the man who stabbed to death his ex-girlfriend last wednesday ended up hanging himself at the home of another ex-girlfriend. yesterday, 45-year-old michael eitel's body was found hanging in the garage of the west field home. hento the garage when the other ex-girlfriend was not home. he stabbed to death carole bowne in her driveway. friends said she had a protection of abuse order against michael eitel. >> scared for her all the time that she was having the problem. i think she hid a lot.

>> reporter: the owner of the hair salon where she worked said michael eitel was stalking her and broken the car windows and some of the windows of her house. >> reporter: the manhunt for a teenage couple referred to as a modern day bonnie and clyde is over. the two ohio teens were arrested after a police pursuit in western pennsylvania. authorities say the 15 and 16-year-olds were armed when they crashed a stolen vehicle and tried to make a run for it, before being caught. they were captured after an alleged 6 day crime spree across three states. they are being investigated for crimes that include armed robbery and car theft and fleeing from police. >> more than 1,000 people packed a wilmington church to say goodbye to beau biden. [fife and drum] a service was held yesterday at st. anthony of padua church.

east/southeast that's why temperatures are in the 6 offs and 70s as opposed to 80 or 90s. if the winds were out of the west or southwest that's a warmer wind direction. we'll take that. anytime up pick up an easterly breeze that means cooler temperatures. not much going on, cloud cover across the shannondoah valley, nothing threaten. this complex here will pull through late in the day tomorrow. this is an area of low pressure with a trailing cold front that's slicing through chi town that will pull east across the mid atlantic and the northeast. once that pulls through high pressure sets up shop, this grows and expands this area east of the mississippi warms up, higher humidity levels and temperatures in the upper 8th 0s and low 90s. the there's the potential we could go higher than this should this heat-pump high plant itself over the carolinas.

- [voiceover] for 25 years the tv series greatest sports legends profiled many of the top athletes the world has ever seen. during the course of this series some of the greatest moments in sports history were covered. in today's show, we've assembled those moments and created a sports lover's dream. it's greatest sports legends 50 greatest sports moments. bobby riggs, a 55-year old former tennis champion made waves in 1973 when he challenged billie jean king, one of the top women players to a winner take all match. when king accepted the challenge the hype became immense. the women's liberation movement was peaking and here was bobby riggs claiming a man nearly twice the age of king could beat her. all the pressure was on billie jean. - i was nervous for six weeks.
