skateboard home last night when he was struck. "action news" reporter david henry is live in pennsville with the latest david? >> reporter: sharrie, in all hours of the day and night cars come flying down that stretch of road and car that hit that teen last night must have been going very fast indeed. you can see on the road here the point of impact marked by the police, the the teenager, landed 160 down the road past that utility pole. a resident of the neighborhood heard the impact. >> just sitting in my living room around 1:30 i heard this loud bang. >> reporter: sound made brian wright think someone just hit a deer or something. ran outside to find a 17 year-old boy lying in the road with severe injuries. >> i seen a light and i got dressed and police officers were telling the boy to hang on. >> reporter: it happened 1:30 this morning police say teen had been visiting his girlfriend and was on his way home on his skateboard when he was hit. they say he he suffered severe leg and head injuries.

the pennsville high school athletic department's facebook page identifies him as kyle passani a member of the football team, school says he is out of surgery to relieve pressure on his brain. members of the football team joined kyle's family at the hospital to lend their support. news of the accident, stunned the community. >> just being that he -- he is someone i know and he got hurt hurts but being so close to where i am and this road at night there is a lot of people traveling there and thinking he was lying there. >> reporter: police found a windshield wiper motor enabled them to identify the car as a hyundai elantra. >> we don't have a color or anything. we were able to find debris on the side of the road we ran serial numbers and obtain the information from the vehicle. so we're looking for hyundai elantra with serious front end damage. >> reporter: police don't know what color but if you have seen a hyundai elantra with heavy front end damage they want to you call them, right

away. live from pennsville, david henry, channel six "action news". char i. >> david, thank you. a party in the backyard of the house in willingboro township turned violent last night. one man was the shot and killed. it happened around 10:00 p.m. at a home on placid lane. police say a disturbance broke out and someone shot a man in his 40's. he was rushed to the local hospital where he was pronounced dead. victim's name has not yet been released and no word on any arrests yet. police are investigating the shooting of the man inside his home in north philadelphia last night. just before midnight, investigators say that the victim entered a home on the 3300 block of north fair hill street and was apparently followed in by a man with the gun. two struggled. gun went off hitting the victim in the leg. gunman ran off and remains on the loose. victim was taken to temple university hospital, in stable condition. police in philadelphia also searching for the gun man who left a man in critical condition, early this morning. a 30 year-old victim was entering his home on the 3,000 block of grandfax street just

before 1:00a m when he was shot in the back. he was rush to temple in critical condition. so far no arrestness this case. in south philadelphia last night a 24 year-old man was shot several times near the entrance of wharton square park. he have he was rush to penn presbyterian in critical condition. no arrests here either. off-duty fail police officer opened fire overnight when he said, someone tried to rob him in brewerytown. the officer and his girlfriend were in the 1400 block of north myrtle wood street just before 2:00 a.m. when they were approached by a man with the shotgun. the officer fired his gun five times and the gun man ran off. no one was injured and no arrests have been made. the the bike racing world had its eyes on philadelphia today. the philadelphia international cycling classic went off with thousands of fans, cheering along the famous manayunk mall. the men and women's races made a 12-mile loop through

manayunk roxborough and east falls this year women's race was a world cup event, the only one in the u.s. several hundred motorcyclist came out in bucks county today to do their pair for america's military heroes. it was sixth annual rotary club ride for the heroes, leading the way was retired marine cornell steve cantrell who served in iraq who served with travis mani on. their foundation is a among the organization that is will be receiving fund, raised from the ride today. today's trip went from the garden of reflection in lower makefield to bedminster. moving to the accu weather forecast, it was a picture where day for a wedding and a couple from new jersey did that today this was a bitter sweet day because groom is a in military man about to be deployed overseas.
