he met the horse. he'll be here with what's ahead in a little bit. we begin with the breaking news. dangerous fire raging at a chemical plant in hanover, pennsylvania. firefighters on the scene being warned about toxic air. ryan smith has more. >> reporter: officials are calling a major hazmat incident in pennsylvania. authorities telling people to avoid it and stay inside. massive fire. near harrisburg pennsylvania. what officials are describing as a major hazmat situation. a witness posted this video the twitter, which he describes as chemicals from a burning warehouse. the blaze began around 3:30 this morning. officials announced an emergency shelter notice for residents. it's unclear whether the smoke

was hazardous. the fire is contained. people urged to stay in their homes. no word yet on injuries or fatalities. robin? >> thank you, ryan. the massive manhunt for two convicted killers who broke out of a maximum security prison. police say they could be anywhere. hundreds of officers search right now as schools near the prison are on high alert. gio benitez is on the scene. one of the escapees is said to be vicious and evil. >> reporter: that's right. a female employee here at the prison has been taken in for questioning. she's been removed from her post. many wondering if she or anyone else here helped get these guys out of prison. this morning, schools in upstate new york taking extra security measures as a massive manhunt is under way for two dangerous convicted killers. 34-year-old david sweat and 48-year-old richard matt escaping together from clinton

correctional facility. >> be on the lookout for two escapees from clinton county correction facility. >> reporter: they were last seen in their adjoining cells on friday. reported missing at bed check the following morning. leaving this note behind. reading have a nice day. police say they used power tools to drill through a wall and work their way down four stories. ship shimmying through 24-inch pips. they walked 300 to 400 feet down a pipe. governor cuomo saturday retracing their escape route. >> the state police docs and surrounding agencies are following up on every lead. >> reporter: both men are serving life terms for murder.

porous. you can walk through, right to canada through some sof these woods here in this area. a lot of people concerned in canada. of course here in america, we're talking about a reward of $100,000 for their capture. >> okay gio, thank you very much. now to the police officer, texas police officer in trouble after that confrontation at a pool party was caught on camera. the officer has been placed on leave after he was seen slamming a young girl to the ground and pulling his gun on the group of teens. tom ya mazllamas is here with more on that. >> reporter: good morning to you. when you watch this video, you see things turn ugly really fast. a lot of kids not a lot of cops chaos and what some are calling a questionable police takedown. this morning, a white texas police officer on administrative leave after this cell phone video captures him pulling this 15-year-old bikini-clad girl down who was black.

>> go ahead. >> reporter: slamming her head. >> on your face! >> reporter: then holding her down on the ground for several minutes. >> stop fighting me. >> reporter: the situation prompting questions of excessive force, as the officer is seen taking out his gun as two others appear to rush in to help the girl. >> move! >> reporter: the incident began outside a pool party in an affluent suburb of dallas. residents called to complain about several teens who didn't have permission to use the community pool and refused to leave. the cell phone video doesn't show the moment that sparked the incident. it shows the situation escalating. >> get on the ground! >> hold up sir. >> i told you to stay. >> we just came from a birthday party, please. >> reporter: first three officers then an additional nine end up responding to the crowd of about 50 teens.

>> don't make me [ bleep ] run around here with gear on in the sun because you want to screw around out here. >> reporter: a local station spoke to the girl after the incident. >> he grabbed me. twisted my arm on the back of my back. and he shoved me in the grass. he started pulling the back of my braids. i was like telling him that, he can get off me because my back was hurting really bad. >> reporter: that girl was not arrested. the officer in question could not be reached for comment. two officers from the department's internal affairs department are working this case right now. no one was injured. just to give you an idea of how big this story is growing. last night, 1 million people had seen the story on youtube. this morning, more than 4 million. now to a rough landing overnight from a flight from washington to buffalo. the united plane skidded off the runway. difd kerry is at reagan national

with the story. good morning, david. >> reporter: good morning, george. rough and a little bit scary. windy and rainy. they circled a couple of times. united says it was wind that pulled this plane off the runway. passengers withare telling a different or thestory. it was the question the pilot didn't want to answer in the rain. with winds gusting up to 25 miles an hour in buffalo. the late flight from washington-dulles to buffalo ended up off the runway. an embarrassed pilot admitting. >> uh we rolled off the end. >> sir again? >> we rolled off the ending. >> roger you're off the runway. >> yes, sir. >> reporter: passengers said something didn't feel right earlier. >> when we hit, it just didn't seem right. the braking seemed very erratic. the runway was feeling rougher than normal.

we heard a rumbling. the plane came to a stop. it was clear we were not on a runway. >> reporter: the 69 passengers and 4 crew members were not hurt. >> we have efr thirn way. is there any damage are you off the runway? >> no, we're just off. >> reporter: and so they brought out buses. everybody taken back to the terminal. the faa now investigating to figure out what happened in that landing, george. >> okay david, thank you. to amy with today's other top stories. violent clashes at a concert near here. police in riot gear firing tear gas into a crowd of fans trying to get into a sold-out show at metlife stadium. chaos broke out after the gates were closed. keeping out legitimate ticket holders. some people started throwing bottles and breaking down barricades. breaking developments in the massive hack of government

people are calling her the rugby warrior. we're going the begin with the search for man who held two real estate agents at gun point in florida. police have released new video. one of the victims is speaking out. steve osunsami joins us with the latest. good morning, steve. >> reporter: good morning to you, george. this realtor says she didn't have time to react at all. she had just walked into the home with this crook trying to sell it to him when he pulled out a gun. this morning, florida police are searching for this man. a person of interest seen in a walmart security video. >> i was showing homes and someone just robbed me. >> reporter: that's the frightened voice of one of them calling for help. >> she says sorry about this. i turn and look at him and there's a gun pointed between my eyes. >> reporter: telling thus morning she's afraid to show her face. that he put her in handcuffs and then put on his gloves. >> my first thought was, i'm going to die. my second thought was, is he

going to hurt me? >> reporter: he then called her husband, demanding $50,000. her husband said no. >> he just really couldn't wrap his head around the whole situation that i wasn't going to bow to his demands. and he just picked the wrong person. >> reporter: two realtors showing homes were attacked about an hour apart by a while man driving an suv seen in this home security video pretending he was a buyer. police are hoping someone recognizes his voice. >> i'm calling about a property yo have listed. >> reporter: message he left for one of the agents. >> i will never meet people i haven't met in person at a proerpty. >> reporter: people are worried he might strike again. they're encouraging realtors to meet with unfamiliar clients at their offices first. >> that makes a lot of sense. to the terrifying shark

attack. a 10-year-old boy bitten twice on the leg at florida's cocoa beach. the boy air-lifted to the hospital. mara shaf mara schiavocampo has the latest. >> reporter: that boy was close to the shore when that take happened. nationwide, the shark pop slags growing, thanks in part, to haunting ban, making ins denlts like this increasingly possible. >> trauma alert from a shark bite. >> reporter: a 10-year-old florida boy's fun in the sun turning terrifying. attacked eded by a shark. >> the victim in the water. seemed in some distress. ran out there, found out he had a bite. >> reporter: the boy bitten at least twice on the leg in what officials are calling one of the worst takes there in year. witness photos showing the child being treated right on the beach before being air-lifted to the hospital. >> the kid handled it as best he could.

he did great. i think the family did great. >> reporter: cocoa beach is one of florida's top summer spots. florida happens to be the shark attack capital of the world. just last month, two attacks on the same day. one also here at cocoa beach. with the shark population up an estimated 42% over the last 15 years, sightings are also becoming increasingly common. take a look at thiz six sharks spotted off the coast of california last month, some up to six feet long. this morning, that florida boy is recovering from his injuries. the beach reopened to swimmers. experts say shark bites and fatalities are rare. still, this spring, the first deadly attack in u.s. waters since 2013 when a swimmer in hawaii was fatally attacked. turn to a crime on the rise right now. packages being swiped off doorsteps. sum sir the other high season for package theft.

aditi roy has the story. >> she's running. she has our stuff. she's running. >> reporter: a suspected package thief on the run. >> we're chasing her. >> the woman was like oh my gosh. i'm so sorry. i thought this was my sister's house. why are you running away if you didn't do anything wrong? >> reporter: the woman got away. a string of package thefts are hitting that city. >> we're going around the corner. >> reporter: we're used to seeingsee seeing these crimes at the holiday. >> summer months super common for people to go on vacation and forget to hold their mail forget to stop packages. >> reporter: watch here in northern california a thief stealing a package from a porch and walking away. this guy sold an awning and tried selling it on craigslist. two officers posed as a married couple and nabbed the suspect.
