with the very latest. >> reporter: well, that is right, we are not naming this suspect until he has been formerly charged, which is likely to happen later on tonight, is he here at plymouth township police he was arrested this afternoon while at home with his wife who is 9 months pregnant. plymouth township police put out this surveillance video of the suspect yesterday and immediately tips came in with the suspect's name, it was last wednesday just before hurricane katrina p.m. when the man bran dished the weapon and demanded cash, as he was leaving he fired a single shot back in the direction of the tellers, fortunately nobody was injured. this afternoon police moved in on the suspect, and at first he refused to come out and then through the window he saw the police presence and surrendered.

police executed a search warrant and found a gun hidden in some toys and it appeared toe about the gun used in the bank robbery he is expected to be formerly charged later tonight and has no prior history but was out of work the last few months. i'm sara bloomquist, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. the delaware county coroner responded to the keep today where a man was found dead after being shot in the head. his body was lying near train tracks near fern and third streets in darby police have not identified the victim and no arrests have been made at this hour. >> police in yaden delaware county are looking for this man that they say murdered a delivery driver that the suspect was trying to rob thomas childs of as ton as he was

getting ready for a delivery trip to new york, childs was found shot twice in the head at close range, here is a sketch of the suspect provided by a delivery man that pulled up to the scene. a man was hurt in a home invasion in the overbrook section of philadelphia on the 200 block of north 52nd street. two male suspects broke into the home and confronted a 52-year-old man in the bedroom, hit the man with the pipe and threatened them with a gun and the man handed over xanex pills and the suspects got away with a cell phone. residents displaced by a raging fire in hamilton township are trying to pick up the pieces today. several row homes were damaged yesterday beyond repair and those that live there lost most of their belongings. nora muchanic joins us live

tonight along east state treat with more. >> reporter: hi there rick, 24 hours after that fire tore through this block we know it was accidental in nature and started by some roofers, at least four or five of the houses that were burneded were abandoned prior to the fire, but for four or five residents this has been a nightmare. >> it's a bunch of ash and dirt and just terrible. all of our stuff is gone. residents of 1700 block of east state street got a look at their home and it's not pretty. collapsed roofs and fire damage has made several of the row homes unliveable. >> new furniture and new floors and the ceilings are fully destroyed. >> most of the row homes on this block were destroyed after a

fire was started, that they say was accidental, started by a roofer's blow torch and once started it spread from house to head. >> these houses are some old there is a lot of dry rotted roof up there. somehow the torch got to the dry wood and the red cross is assisting the displaced at the father by bromly senter. residents can have questions answered and how the township can help them. >> while fire victims grab what they can hamilton firefighters are being credited with two great saves. they heard that 8-year-old anae's fish was missing they went in and save them. and they dugged through feet of debris to fine jose's wedding ring. >> i feel so good.

degrees and by 9:00, 76 degrees. i'll talk more about the weekend coming up in the full accuweather forecast. meanwhile traffic is a mess because of emergency road repairs the southbound lanes of 476 around landsdale remain closed and crews are filling up a large sinkhole in a construction zone and they are forced to exit at landsdale and the lanes are not expected to be reopen, so be careful. >> and be careful with the detours with that we head to the traffic center. autumn marisa is standing by with the latest. >> lets go to the maps and show you the detour have you to get off at landsdale for the southbound lanes of the northeast extension and take 63 east and then 309 south, a few notes, the quaker town on ramp is closed they don't want motorists to enter at quakertown

and then exit at landsdale and they are quite backed up at this time too because of the detour as well. going outside of the schuylkill expressway we had a big accident with an overturned vehicle taking out all the lanes of the schuylkill westbound right at the boulevard, all lanes are moving now and that is good we have everything pushed into the gor point penndot and police are still on the scene and the ambulance and the fire department have left the scene so we hope to see that clear up and see that delay diminish shortly. speeds are starting to increase a bit we saw teens and picking up to 29 miles per hour on the expressway and 23 on the blue route and king of prussia 55 miles per hour and that is not too bad. we'll keep an eye on things and bring you an update in the next half hour. >> thanks autumn. still to come a rare case of tuberculosis has health officials scrambling.

a stray bullet in west kensington was likely not the intended target it happened as the senior citizen was walking into his home on the 400 block of indiana avenue he told police that he heard several gunshots and one bullet grazed his head. the 72-year-old was rushed to the hospital for treatment and he is expected to survive. investigators are looking for a black vehicle with tinted windows. anonymous threats caused part of the white house and other buildings to be evacuated this afternoon. they interrupted a live press briefing to evacuate the brady briefing room and similar situation halted a senate hearing on the tsa. >> we need a recess the capital police is clearing this, we

entered his pleas for him. former house speaker hastert entered a not guilty plea in federal court facing charges of branch fraud and lying to the fbi in order to cover up allegations of past misconduct that turned out to involve sexual abuse. according to the indictment, hastert aagreed to pay $3.5 million to individual a, and alleged victim. no special victim for the former house speaker as he arrived at the chicago courthouse met by a media mob. a second person is also identified as an alleged sexual abuse victim. and her brother told her he was molested between 1967 and 1971.

now 69 degrees and cooler drier air is filtering in behind a cold front that is pushing through and that front which kind of pushed some of those storms our way yesterday is working its way into northern new england and a sometime with that with upper level ep guy that brings severe weather into western new england moving into parts of new hampshire and eventually maine and that is where most of the severe weather and thunderstorms will be and romaine overnight tonight. closer to home patchy clouds turning clear overnight and high pressure wedges in between two fronts and that mean a lot of sun and low humidity and above average and warm at 86 degrees, and the secondary front tries to close in on thursday and doesn't really make its way through and up to 92 degrees and only when we hit the 90s the humidity will start to surge in from the south and that humidity will stick
