tgif and head for the ac today. 8:00 a.m., 80. that's a quick jump. noon, 90. 3:00 p.m., 94 with the record-tieing high potentially happening at 4:00 p.m. maybe a late-day thunderstorm, but the big story is the heat and humidity and how uncomfortable it will be today. things get better over the weekend, i'll check that out coming up. karen how the roads? >> reporter: no weather-related problems, but low clouds in the area you can see from the this shot. this is i-95 southbound traffic jamming from cottman to the betsy ross bridge. 25 minute from woodhaven to the vine. we have a ramp blockage ramp i-95 southbound to the commodor barry bridge. there's a truck here and another truck here, cars are going in between, causing a slow go on the ramp i-95 southbound to the commodor barry bridge. two fire locations in montgomery county are causing an issue.

one in abington at old welsh road at shoemaker road. in hatfield we have an accident involving a motorcycle on bethlehem pike between unionville pike and mill road. stick to cow path road. this downed tree in plumstead closes river road between old ferry road and point pleasant pike. not too many accidents this morning. >> breaking news, in south philadelphia, where one person is receiving medical attention for smoke inhalation following a fire. it broke out on snyder avenue. heavy smoke was coming from the second floor bedroom of the home when they arrived he they brought the fire quickly under control. dozens of fire victims in delaware county had to spend the night in the red cross shelter because flames spread through their apartment complex. katherine scott is live on the

scene where their homes and belongings suffered damage. >> reporter: 80 people are out of their homes two people were taken to the hospital. the windows at the stafford court apartments are boarded up. there's debris on the front lawn after a fire that appears to have started in the downstairs storage unit. smoke filled the buildings thursday evening. the fire started at 7:00 p.m. on the unit block of north landsdown avenue. residents watched as the flames spread. >> within two minutes there were flames on the bottom coming out of the basement and five minutes later they were on the third floor. >> reporter: 911 calls and smoke detection system alerted the fire department. animal control was there to revive injured pellets. this man was checking -- injured pets. this man was checking on a

pollutants. we have hazy sunshine mix and 4:00 p.m. there's a chance of pop-up shower or thunderstorm especially up north around the lehigh valley. we get into the later evening hours 7:30 looks like that's all off the board. the big story is the heat combined with the humidity. here's where the temperatures are going. by 8:00 we'll be up to 80 and close to 90 at 11:00. 2:00 p.m., 93. high of 95 around 3:30 or 4:00 p.m. 93 by 5:00 p.m. and oppressively humid all the way. records may fall in a couple of cases. 95 is the forecast high in philadelphia. that would tie the record if he with hit it. we missed yesterday's record. we have another shot today. allentown, 92. that's the record there. close to a record in wilmington the way the forecast looks like now. reading may get to the record high. same thing in atlantic city.
