>> good morning, it is 6:00 a.m. this sunday june 14 nydia and eva are off i'm alicia vitarelli here's what we're working on on for you this morning. water main break in west philadelphia is sending water down a street in west philadelphia. a toddler is left alone in a park and the search is on for the toddler's parents. a busy news morning and sticky out there this morning meteorologist chris sowers with the accuweather forecast. >> reporter: caught a little bit of a break yesterday afternoon

and now the humidity is going up and up and up. let's get you outside and show you the is true. with the increasing humidity we have thunderstorms fired up. storm tracker 6 live double scan this is over the delaware bay region for the most part it's starting to weaken a little bit. but earlier on you can see the lightning strikes in increments. it's pushing into southern cape may county, gandys beach bowers beach reporting heavier downpours, this is the delaware bay, eastern portions of kent and stream southern portions of new castle county all pushing toward the southeast. there's a frontal boundary sitting here that front will lift north over the next 24 to 12 hours as it pushes north into the soupy air mass it will fire up thundershowers and thunderstorms. # 2 in philadelphia.

you can see the water gushing from the ground 52 and wymissing avenue. officials got the call this morning. major water main break. take a look at how the water is rising turning that street into a river. cars are parked and submerged several homes have been reported flooded, as well. crews from the water department have been called to shut down the water main. we'll continue to monitor the situation and bring you updates all morning but then there are you have it, some cars almost completed drenched in water. developing news this morning, authorities in camden county are searching for the parents of a toddler who was found alone at a park. police found the 3-year-old at clementon lake at 8:30. they took her to the park office and called police. they tried to find the little girl's parents and no luck. they called philadelphia and camden for reports of a missing

child which produced nothing. officers with the division of child and family services took the little girl into custody. she also described as african-american 3 feet tall, green dress pink bathing suit and pink crocks. her hair is in braids and she said her name is she rvment -- shere. a woke was struck by a car -- a woman was struck by a car after midnight and the car kept going, she was rushed to jefferson hospital in critical, but stable condition. there's no description on the vehicle that hit the woman. if you have any information call police right away. the action cam was at the parlor pizza shop in lower merion township where five members of the cleaning crew were overcome by fumes late last

night. firefighters arrived before 11:00 p.m. and treated the workers at the scene before transporting them tonal hospital. a 4-year-old girl who was pulled from a pond in newark, delaware has died. the girl was attending a picnic on the 300 block of new london road when she apparently wandered away. >> when we arrived there were several people at the party who were at the retension pond in the property -- reretention pond. >> she was rushed to christiana hospital where she later died.

a gate behind the community center was unlocked. new york police are investigating they have not released the little girl's name. philadelphia police are trying to determine what triggered a tense standoff with a man in port richmond section yesterday. this unfolded on emerald street yesterday afternoon. officers responded to reports of gunshots inside a home. when they arrive someone from inside the home started shooting at them. young children were running as police evacuated nearby homes. officers heard another gun shot inside. >> we inceptorred a robot with a camera the robot identified that there were two victims down and dead. >> two men were found dead inside one is believed to have been the gunman, police have not released the identity of the two men. fbi said the prison worker

who helped two men escaped from a maximum security prison in upstate new york, originally planned to be the getaway driver. she planned to pick up richard matt and david sweat and drive them 7 hours away. mitchell got cold feet and never showed. she also charged with giving the men contraband including hack saw blades and chisels. the search format and sweat is being expanded further east than the current search area. "good morning america" will have more on the manhunt for the two escapees and the woman charged with helping them make that getaway. an arrest has been made in connection with the murder in south toms river, new jersey. 26-year-old marcus samuel of bayville has been charged in the death of willie love.

officials say samuels fired the shot into love's car samuel is being held in the ocean county jail. more than two years after her father's death a victim's daughter is turning to you for help in her quest for justice. here's rick williams with this crime fighters report. >> everyday i think of my dad. everyday i need justice. >> reporter: mary lee said her father was the pillar of the community and a fixture on penn campus. >> he never stopped working. >> reporter: that's what he was going to do on the morning of april 18, 2013. at 5:00 p.m. the 60-year-old was loading up his car in south philadelphia. that's when a man approached leann stabbed him multiple times killing. lee's family doesn't believe this was a robbery since their

water main break 36-inch main has broken there. take a look at this live picture. it happened around 5:30 a.m. this is north 52nd street in west philadelphia. the street he believe -- essentially looks like a river. cars partially submerged. police have closed down a four block area. they are excavating dozens of residents. homes have flooding damage, as well. the cars almost halfway covered. philadelphia firefighters working to evacuate some residents after this break it happened this morning again the 52nd street and wymissing avenue. it happened 45 minutes ago police there firefighters there, we'll continue to cover this. again, taking a live shot this morning we have crews on the way to bring you a live report coming up. certainly a messy scene there.

weather, this weekend hot and sticky. >> reporter: it's not even summer. which beach is this. >> reporter: this is atlantic city. >> i was there yesterday. >> reporter: how was it? >> nice on the beach. >> reporter: you get closer to the water you benefit from a nice sea breeze it keeps the temperatures down today. >> reporter: it's going to be beautiful down there once we get past showers and downpours. cape may county getting walloped heavier downpours sea isle city north you're in the clear. lbi, atlantic city, brigantine you're dry all this pushes toward the east. reeds beach stone harbor, the movement is northwest to southeast. that's riding a frontal system off the screen. this will continue to push off to the southeast. it will be out of here in the next hour, the shorepoints will begin to dry out. there's the movement, the

lightennenning -- lightning strikes taken in 15 minute increments. all this is racing off to the southeast. it's warm and sticky once again. this has been the trend over the last four or five days. millville, 71. trenton, 70 degrees, poconos right now you're in the 50s and 60s, you don't have much in the way of humidity at all. it's nice and comfortable up there. the humidity is moving south to north. you get back into the sticky stuff into the mountains, as well. dewpoints raging 65 to 70. if you don't like humidity you'll not be happy with today's weather. satellite and radar showing the frontal system sitting like this. it's a warm front this stormed through here yesterday in the form of a cold front. it pushed down from the north. lowered the humidity levels. allentown you'll move back into the region.

this time it is warm front. we have the frontal system sitting by that will be the focal point for showers and thunderstorms. this area is under the risk of severe weather. it doesn't include our far western suburbs. future tracker 6, this is interesting this particular model has thunderstorms developing along what's called a sea breeze front in portions of ocean and monmouth counties maybe stretching as far south as atlantic city. we'll see how that plays out. the main batch will hold off until late in the day. these will be in the form. spotty thunderstorms between the hours of 5 and 9:00 p.m. one or two of the storms could produce gusty winds 40, 50, 60 miles per hour and drenching downpours. the jersey shore 77 degrees, any storms you do see should off until late in the day. although you saw the modeling there, you saw the sea breeze front activating a little bit we'll see how that plays out. warm and humid spotty

violent night five people shot, one killed in two separate shootings in camden overnight. plus, warm and humid again, across the delaware valley. we're keeping our eye out now for the possibility of storms popping up later today and that takes us to meteorologist chris sowers who will give us a look at the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. if you were in the city this weekend, it was hot. >> reporter: it was, and it's going to be sticky once again today. we'll play this tune all over again. warm and humid but things improve temperatures wise as we start the new workweek. of double scan live, we're zoom into cape may county the mouth of the delaware bay it's a wet go on the garden state parkway to sea isle city. heavier downpours indicated by the yellows and oranges. this cluster is pushing off to the southeast as 20 to 25 miles per hour. maybe another 45 minutes to an hour's worth of wet weather for cape may county.

area. residents are being taken to west cast lick high school as the shelter there. the calls came in around 5:30, police and firefighters responding. as we continue to follow this breaking news, the water level continues to rides a 36-inch water main that broke no word on what caused the water main to break, crews are there along with the first responders as they get the people out of the homes they get the water to recede and a assess the damage that's going on. we have a crew on the scene and annie mccormick will have a live report coming up later this morning. two separate overnight shootings in camden, new jersey, have left one man dead and four others wounded. the action cam was on the 2800 block of saunders street. gunfire erupted after midnight. when it stopped a man in his 40s had been shot in the back. he died at the hospital three other victims are in their

20s, one of them is critical condition, the others are set to be stable. so far police have not made any arrests or indicated that they have found a motive for the shootings. also in camden a man was shot in a parking lot of this luk oil gas station. the action cam was on the scene of admiral wilson boulevard. the police found the man shot in the arm and leg. he was taken to cooper university hospital in critical condition. no word on suspects or a reason for the shooting. in cinnaminson burlington county, fire and series of explosions ripped through this tractor-trailer. fire broke out inside the trailer at 2:35, the trailer was filled with cans of spray paint. many of those cans exploded during the fire. it took almost 45 minutes for crews to gain control of the flames.

investigators are trying to determine what sparked the blaze. we are learning more about what happened when a heavily armed man try to take on the entire dallas police department this weekend. the suspect is dead, but the death toll could have been much higher when he struck in the million dollars of the night with bullets and bombs and held police at bay for hours. abc's richard cantu has the details. >> reporter: the fiery end of a line with the dallas police. inside the burned out she shell of a burned out van the body of the man. he sprayed the police headquarters with a hail of gunfire and bullet hole and gunfire, grim witness to his murderous intent. >> we believe he meant to kill officers. >> reporter: he used his massive

van as batters ram against police cruisers and led others on the chase across town. by # 30:00 a bomb robot picks up suspicious package with pipe bombs inside. 30 minutes later a sniper shoots out the engine block of a van making sure it's not going anywhere. >> a snipers shot at the suspect through the front windshield of the van striking the suspect. >> reporter: the bomb squad blew up the van the suspect boasted was packed with explosive. he blamed them for losing custody of his son. >> he said he lost everything i own i got knowing left. >> his van was an armored assault vehicle that once belonged to a sheriff's department in south carolina. >> four people were hurt after a gun accidently went off at a

wedding celebration at a 42-year-old guest had the gun in his pocket when it fell out of his pocket and went over. a woman's head was grazed the man was arrested. tamir rice, the 12-year-old who was shot by police in cleveland. several witnesses including police officers who arrived and the shooting the officer warned tamir what appeared to be a weapon. it turned out to be a pellet gun. a friend warned him to be careful because it did look real. the body they found on mount rainier in washington state is most likely the mountain climber who has been missing since thursday.

they were ascending the mountain when they were caught in a storm. wind reached # 0 miles per hour. an autopsy will try to determine the identity of the body and the cause of death. it was not the way passengers expected their through it to boise idaho to end. they were forced to evacuate after landing on a wing of the plane after smelling fuel and saw what they saw was smoke in the cabin. the plane was leaking fuel after landing. passengers saw vapor coming from the spill which they thought was smoke, everyone got off the plane safely. no word on what caused the leak. now to politics, sunday morning, thousands showed their support for former secretary of state and presidential hopeful hillary clinton this weekend. >> america can't success sees unless you suckceed.

>> in him butler county a man was killed when a tree fell on top of his home. this happened when storms pushed through worth township. in nearby beaver county lightning struck a tree and brought it down. there were downed power lines in the area. we're talking about the heat and humidity this weekend and storms pushing through later. >> reporter: let's hope we don't see scenes like that tomorrow morning. because we'll get our share of thunderstorm activity. we have downpours pushing through parts of the area. this is the view in cape may it's rainy steadily. slow go up and down cape may county. we have a cluster let's go over to double scan live. we have a cluster in our viewing area that's sitting over cape may county. it eases up a little bit the farther north you go avalon, sea isle city, maybe a quick-hitting downpour. the bulk of it is down to the

south. that's the last of it, the front is down here, this is the warm front lifting to the north which is helping to trick or the showers and lighten -- trigger these showers or lightning tryings. this will pull away in the short term. we get a break. most of the afternoon is dry but after 4:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. the thunderstorms flare up. temperatures in the low 70s upper 60s north and west, 50s in the poconos not much humidity at all it's very, very comfortable in time higher elevations. here the high dewpoints is behind the warm front that is starting to push toward the north. yesterday it slammed through in the form of a cold front. the humidity levels dropped off. today the warm front comes through and the humidity levels go up again. satellite and radar there's the showers and thunderstorms that will help to push the downpours into our neck of the woods later this afternoon. if you look at the surface maps
