police sergeant is going to prison for a deadly drunk driving accident. thomas winkus pled guilty to reckless endangerment and dui. he was off-duty what he caused the crash. he was fired from the police department and sentenced two to seven years in state prison. investigates are looking for the cause of a deadly fire in montgomery county lower salford township skippack creek road overnight. one woman was killed and four others hurt. katherine scott has been on the scene all morning long and joins us with the latest, katherine. >> reporter: sarah there were five people inside the home when the fire broke out early this morning, four people were able to escape with minor injuries, but one woman was trapped inside she did not survive. you can see a number of

emergency vehicles on the scene here, the road is closed off. let's go to chopper 6 hd live over the 6 the -- over the scenes. this is the images of the two story home. you can see the action at the scene right now. >> this morning the montgomery coroner drove from the scene of this fire in lower salford township that claimed the life of one woman. four other adults were injured in the fast-moving blaze that started before 2:00 a.m. on the 100 block of skippack creek road. >> we arrived on scene with heavy fire showing in the rear of the structure. >> reporter: one woman was trapped upstairs in the two story home, firefighters tried to get her but the floor gave way. >> we attempted to enter the house, when the floors collapsed underneath us. >> reporter: crews needed water tankers to help fight the

flames. 50 firefighters from nine neighboring companies assisted. the fire was placed under control at 3:40 a.m. once it was out heavy equipment was brought in, several vehicles were loaded up and towed from the scene. and back here live, you can see that the number of crews remain at the scene this morning firefighters are here again they brought in heavy equipment to shift through the rubble. investigators are working to determine the cause of that blaze. also we are hearing again that fire marshal is working to determine that no firefighters were injured when the floor collapsed. we're live in lower sal folder township. katherine scott -- salford township. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> we have a video of a beauty salon robbery the suspect went behind the counter and head a knife to the employee's held. he let the 50-year-old woman go when she opened the cash register. this happened on the 2500 block of kensington avenue.

police are looking for the suspect and asking anyone with information to come forward. a woman charged in the elaborate prison break went back to court. she is accused of helping two killers escape. both men remain at large on day 10 of a massive manhunt. >> reporter: with her hands in cuffs and her head down joys mitchell in a prison jump suit is back in court and stood before a judge accused of smuggling contraband inside a prison and offering to drive the getaway car. the two killers richard matt and david scwet are on the run after pulling off an elaborate escape ten days ago. prosecutors revealing mitchell's interaction with matt. >> he was paying attention to her and being nice to her. >> reporter: the prison worker

late-night shooting turned deadly in wilmington. and concerns over dangers in the water off the coast of north carolina, the shark or sharks officials are looking for this afternoon after two teenagers were attacked in the ocean over the weekend. >> in other details on that massive cleanup effort underway, after a water main break flooded an entire block. the 3-foot water main break at 52 and wymissing. the street and several cars were under water and residents forced to evacuate. john rawlins live at the scene with the latest on the cleanup that's going on this afternoon. john. >> reporter: rick, if history is any guide this cleanup will go on for days and weeks as people make claims against the city. as far as water department's concern what caused the break that's been under the street store a long long time.
