pelman. >> i think you feel the difference as soon as you step outside. much more refreshing. the thunderstorms we had yesterday although very far and few and between not many people saw them. they were kind of a heat cluster today. the temperatures are going down, it's drier. storm tracker six double scan showing no problems currently. satellite6 and action radar showing that that front moved through yesterday, one or two places got a storm. a few high clouds. we'll see sunshine, mixing with some clouds today. we're only giving you a one day break. it's not too. all right, 63 degrees in quakertown. a nice 65 in pottstown. that feels better, right? 63 in saint davids. 74 degrees center city. 64 in browns mills. 60's in glassboro and dover delaware 68 degrees. not bad. today's high is going to be 84 degrees. we'll see sunshine mixing with high clouds but it feels less humid so a little bit better. tonight we'll have mostly cloudy skies and we're going have a shower or thunderstorm late tonight and that leads to a wet start to your tomorrow's

commute so matt we'll enjoy this dry one while we can. >> all right, those temperatures going down. we're yelling timber. good morning, karen rogers. yelling timber for other reasons, too. more on that in a second. first a live look at 95 in delco. construction crews now off to the side. i told you they were going to be closing this ramp from the northbound lanes of 95 to the northbound blue route rover night. they did that. set up some barriers on the ramp. they're kind of reconfiguring things here but as you can see the ramp is now reopened so that's good news and other work zones on 95 are also clearing out. we also had the ramp from the northbound side of 95 to girard blocked because of a broken down truck but they pushed that out of the way. looking at the big picture you probably get the sense that things are busy this morning's. let's see if the vine street expressway has opened. not on the eastbound side. overnight construction still closing it at this point at the schuylkill and broad street but westbound traffic is now get buying as you can see. the westbound construction has picked up. here's why we're yelling timber. a tree came down overnight in

fairmount park on the lincoln drive. northbound lanes still blocked at gypsy lane and southbound the left lane is out of commission as you head down toward kelly drive. better bets by schoolhouse lane or the roosevelt boulevard early on this wednesday morning. tam. >> okay, thank you matt. a man is fighting for his life this morning in the developing story. he was assaulted robbed and finally shot in the logan section of philadelphia and right now police are out there on the hunt for his attack area. let's go over to "action news" reporter katherine scott she's live at northwest detectives in fern rock. she's got the latest. good morning gangy katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam, that's right, that victim was shot, stabbed assaulted and robbed and remains at the hospital in critical condition. police are looking for three people they believe are behind this, two men and one woman. there were several witnesses. they were taken to northwest detectives to be interviewed. this happened around 11:30 last night in the logan section of the city at sixth and somerville. northwest detectives were on the scene for hours collecting

evidence. when police got there, they found a man on the sidewalk. he had stab wounds in his back. he was shot at least once in his thigh. he also had some puncture marks in his face. police rushed him to the hospital. >> while en route to einstein hospital, he was conscious and told responding officers that he was robbed and assaulted and shot. he said that his watch his wallet and cell phone were taken from him. >> reporter: police say all three suspects fled east on somerville from sixth. police haven't said if this man was targeted for any reason. this investigation continues. they're also searching for surveillance footage to see if there's any that can help identified these suspects. in fern rock, katherine scott channel6 "action news." >> thank you katherine. police are still looking for the man who stole drugs from a south jersey pharmacy while wearing a hard hat a reflective vest and carrying a

traffic cone. he then carjacked a priest. the man walked into this rite-aid on the 700 block of haddon avenue in haddonfield yesterday afternoon jumped over the pharmacy counter whipped out a gun and demanded drugs. he took off with some adderal ran into the parking lot and then took the priest's car. the robber drove the car a block, jumped out and ran off. police say the person who robbed the rite-aid in logan township gloucester county last month was also wearing a reflective vest and a hard hat. an 85-year-old delaware man who was working in a hot attic collapsed and died last night. it happened in a home on the 2200 block of yeen road in mill creek just before 8:00 p.m. authorities say it was at least 120 degrees in the attic. the medical examiner will determine if a preexisting medical condition may have contributed to his death. >> the search goes on for a fourth suspect out there wanted in connection with a home invasion in delaware county. two brothers were arraigned

yesterday. bail was set at $500,000 a piece for jermaine and sterling wallace. a juvenile was arrested as well. marple township police say the suspects broke into a home on old cedar grove road in broomall. they attacked a 17-year-old and stole money and jewelry from a safe. philadelphia police released pictures of a bank robber who has struck twice this month. he hit two republic bank branches on frankford avenue. in both cases he handed the teller a note demanding cash. the suspect is in his mid to late 20's with a beard blue eyes and tattoos on both arms. police say he's armed and dangerous. and charges have been filed against a leesport man for a fatal crash. the crash killed a berks county pastor and injured her husband who is also a pastor. investigator say sean eric was under the influence when his in order explorer crossed into the path of brian and lynn cox's motorcycle earlier this month. the cox had served for nearly 30 years.

>> now to another developing story. former tropical storm bill lost some steam as it pounded the texas coastline. it has been done graded this morning to a tropical depression. >> residents are trying to deal with the aftermath today while the threat of flash flooding continues for six states this morning. >> abc's lana zak has this morning's report. >> another day in paradise. >> reporter: the rainwater was climbing after tropical storm bill now a tropical depression drench the area. after flash floods led to the death of approximately 30 people emergency management officials took extra precautions to mitigate the effects of this storm closing down streets and warning residents of the danger. while up in the sky the hurricane hunters of the 53rd weather reconnaissance squadron monitored the storm. >> we saw very strong winds on the northeast side of this thing. a lot of rain. no real defined center.

it's very broad broad circulation. >> reporter: that broad circulation putting a large portion of the country at risk of flash floods. those warnings continuing today but the hardest hit of all, texas. firefighters in houston were on alert during the storm and rescued one little guy caught in the deluge. >> he was out front, just squealing, making all kinds of nouns ruckus. brought him inside, gave him a bath. gave him another bath. >> reporter: the firefighters say they've named him ruckus for all the noise he was making. >> whittled his my our heart. >> reporter: this storm is triggering tornado warnings throughout texas oklahoma in areas that still haven't recovered from last month's floods. in washington, lana zak abc news. >> former sixer andre iguodala helped lead golden state to an nba championship. the warriors beat the cavaliers 105 to 97 in cleveland in game six last night. iguodala and steph curry scored 25 points a piece for

storm tracker six live double scan around the region right now and you can see that we're currently dry through the area and looking pretty good. let's go on outside right now and show you what it looks like right now. sky6 looking live down in atlantic city, why not head to the shore. it's a good place to be right now on a thursday -- wednesday morning. i just gave us a day. let's take a look at the numbers through the region. 73 degrees right now in philadelphia. the dewpoint is way down. if you remember yesterday we were at about 71. it's just 60 meaning that it feels a lot nicer out there today so the dewpoint is down, the humidity down and that's because the winds have switched to the north-northwest. it's light though, about 5 miles an hour. the barometric pressurizing. with the dewpoint hovering around 60, below that in some areas fee feels comfy today which is a big change. satellite6 and action radar showing we're not entirely clear. we've got some high clouds around there today. we're going to see the chance for a shower coming through a little bit later on tonight. future tracker six showing

that as we advance this to thursday, 1:00 a.m. in the morning, so in the overnight hours we get some showers or thunderstorms that are moving through. if you're driving as we often do in the early morning hours at 3:30 in the morning you're going to see that as well as through your morning commute so showers on the way predominantly through the morning hours late tonight and into tomorrow morning. let's go over in this in your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast. it's less humid, seeing some sunshine and all in all that means a pretty nice day. 84 degrees for your high. watching for those showers or thunderstorms late tonight and into the overnight hours and tomorrow we're starting with showers so expect a wet morning commute at times. cloud skies otherwise for the most part and 77 degrees for your high. so, it's going to really keep those temperatures down. on friday partly sunny skies. looks like a pretty nice day on friday and 85 degrees. friday will also feature less humidity so we kind of give you these one day breaks here and there. saturday mostly cloudy skies and 85 degrees. and although we are saying mostly cloudy, you know, you could still head to the shore do whatever you want to do,

>> new here on "action news" a 10-year-old girl in santa ana california nearly stopped a thief in his tracks. police say the man in the blue shirt here seen in the surveillance video stole from a 7-eleven, walked out there he is, walked out and saw a woman's wallet sitting in her car. he grabbed it, then went back to his car. that woman's daughter janice ramos went after him demanding the wallet back. >> i just didn't think it was right that he could take it so i wanted to get it back. >> genesis didn't stop there. she got out her cell phone and snapped a photograph of the thief's vehicle and his license plate as he was driving off. police are working to track that man down. federal authorities are investigating a possible case of espionage in major league baseball. the fbi is looking into whether the saint louis cardinals front office hacked into the database of the houston astros. that question is whether the executives gained access to sensitive information like

scouting reports or internal discussions about players and trades. both teams and the mlb say they are cooperating with investigators. >> fascinating. time now to take a look first time at business today. target is coming to center city. this won't be a full size store, it's something they call target express. talking two floors, 2600 square feet of clothes food, beauty items and more. the target express will open at 19th and chestnut at the old boyd theater in july of next year. the bird flu outbreak in the midwest that has driven up the price of eggs is dropping the price of chicken. we have a glut of the birds because u.s. chicken exports have been halted on though chickens are not affected by the bird flu. in some cases the prices are down by about 33 percent and looks like egg prices have been falling as well. the markets rebounded yesterday. all three major markets were up on speculation of major corporate deals. the futures this morning are pointing up. united airlines says it is

[meow] meet one today. visit theshelterpetproject.org. adopt. >> ♪♪ >> if you are interested in seeing some overnight construction, well, it was your lucky night because we had a whole bunch of it out there but most of our zones are in the process of clearing out now. there was work going on on 95 northbound side between the betsy ross bridge and bridge street in the ongoing work zone. those extra overnight crews have cleared out and looks like it's going to be a lovely sunrise as we look live from the penndot camera. looking live in center city, improvement here as well. the eastbound side of the vine has reopened between the schuylkill and broad street. westbound has been opened for a little while now. but of course the crews will return at 11:00 tonight and they'll close the vine again in each direction as they have been doing each week night for the last couple weeks. on the big picture there's been a lot going on this

morning. we're hearing that that downed tree that was closing the northbound lincoln drive is being turned into sawdust and getting pushed out of the way. things looking better. on the pennsylvania turnpike overnight construction zones are gone but now there's a crash in the eastbound direction between willow grove and bensalem 3 miles east of willow grove taking out the left lane. there is still work on the northeast extension both ways north of quakertown. one of the two lanes is out of commission. matt. >> thanks, matt. authorities are trying to determine what caused a balcony to break loose from the side of an apartment building in berkeley california. six people were killed seven others seriously hurt. victims were irish citizen in the u.s. on a student exchange summer work program. yesterday we heard for the psychiatrist for james holmes. she told the court he admitted to homicidal thoughts as often as three or four times a day. dr. lynn stanton took the stand.

she said he never let on he was planning a mass killing. if that were the case stanton said she would have gone to the police. holmes pleaded guilty by reason of insanity for the massacre in 2012. >> a fried favorite to help bring cocaine from jamaica to miami. agents seized more than 2 pounds of the drug inside fried fish contained in the woman's luggage at miami international airport. the agents became suspicious because of the fish's odd shape. they opened the bag to find the bellies of some of the fish had been sewn together. >> all new in the next half hour of "action news" new york city police officers are hunting for a serial attacker who seems to be targeting asian women. >> kerry washington is portraying a woman who became a firestorm over a supreme court nominee.

>> new video here on "action news," a yellow cab burst into flames in the middle of the evening rush in new york city. photos of the scene show that cab engulfed in flames as people in traffic navigate around it in the rain. the driver said he was driving down madison avenue when he said he heard the sound of sparks under the steering wheel. fortunately the driver and his passenger were not hurt. >> rachel dolezal the former leader of the naacp in spokane washington says i identify as black. dolezal resigned her post after her estranged parents disclosed that she is white. during an interview with nbc she was asked if she is an
