and matt has the roads. >> reporter: it's a miserable day. we have light steady rain, i want to show you storm tracker 6 live 3d. it shows you the problem. a couple of hours ago we have an area of yellow that moves through the city. heavy downpours that moved through you have the ponding on the roads that you're driving through. the refuse you dealing with -- rest of the region dealing with light rain. in doylestown you have breaks coatsville you're on the back edge of that. center city you have light rain through much of south jersey and delaware. the heavier rain is along route 70 heading toward seaside heights. the trouble is driving through all the ponding on the roads expect delays we have showers at this point ponding on the roads and localized flooding because of the heavy rain we got a couple of hours ago. 66 degrees in philadelphia. here's how the day is going 9:00 a.m., 70 degrees, still a shower around, just not the

breaking news. >> reporter: just about a how are half-hour ago, there was a press conference police released this picture. they need the public's help. they believe this is the man responsible for killing the nine people. he has sandy-colored hair and wearing a distinct gray sweatshirt said to be between 20 and 25. if they can help identify the man they believe he is armed and dangerous, they want to prevent him from hurting someone else. let's look at another picture of the car they believe he was driving. there it is, there's a front license plate they released this information just about a half-houring ago asking the public for help. it's an all hands on deck effort torched the suspect. let's take you back to what happened 9:00, the man in his

early 20s opened fire during a prayer meeting inside the a. m.e. church. 8 people were found dead inside the church and another died at the hospital. the pastor pinkney also a state senator was pushing for a bill to get body cameras on police after an unarmed black man was shot in a neighboring area two months ago. reverend al sharpton said pinkney was killed last night. the fbi is on the scene investigating these murders as a hate crime. again we showed you the picture of the man in his 20s we'll have that at 6abc.com so you can take a closer look at this, obviously the community is grieving it's a community filled with fear there's another press conference expected around 7:00 p.m., of course, we'll bring you those details when we

about the african-american episcopal church in south carolina. >> we'll be getting e-mails and messages from people in south africa and the caribbean and all over are we're family. >> and dr. tyler said that mother bethel will be doing something to show sal -- solidarity but they don't know what it is yet. the search is on for the slasher who attacked a woman who waited for a septa train. police say this surveillance video shows the man before the attack yesterday morning at an el station in philadelphia's frankford section. 50-year-old she shelly rene daily said he attacked her.

morning hours. at 6:30 for the evening commute we're watching for a chance of shower or thunderstorm. i don't think everybody will see it, i think the best case is north and west, you'll have trouble for some folks affecting you in the morning and the evening. we may have a downpour or thunderstorm to the north and west. 8:00 a.m., 69 keeping the temperatures cool with low clouds and showers. shower around 8:00 a.m., showers east of the city. 11:00 a.m., 71 mostly dry maybe a sprinkle. 2:00 p.m., basically dry lots of clouds, peek of sunshine the clouds 79. 5:00 p.m., 78 that's when we'll watch for the chance of a thunderstorm coming through north and west, the high today 84 degrees, not a pretty day i know, but not raining all day long. tomorrow partly sunny skies 89 degrees maybe one or two people get an early shower, the rest of us are dry.

fitzwatertown road. northbound on exit 2 in gloucester consist on the new jersey turnpike there's a crash off to the side. there's one another exit 5 taking out the left lane but not causing a huge delay. in deptford township we have a downside pole from the overnight crash along 41 everything blocked there stick with 55 that's busy now the black horse would be another option. >> new video on "action news" showing a massachusetts man torching a police cruiser and celebrating before gheght caught. surveil -- before getting caught. he douses the cruiser with gasoline and sets sets it ablaze. it's been two weeks since the men broke out of the prison in upstate new york he is there a chance they are out there trying to disguise themselves.
