you can see there's a growing memorial outside the church he is accused of terrorizing so fewer hours ago. a memorial of flowers balloons and candle outside emanuel ame church. prayers circle the city of charleston. >> we'll get through it. everybody will press on. chris singleton's mother was one of nine victims targeted and killed by 21-year-old dylann roof. it happened after a bible study at the historic black church wednesday night. >> my mom was a god-fearing woman. >> reporter: roof was captured outside charlotte, north carolina, 12 hours after the shooting that killed well-known state senator and the church's pastor clemente pinkney. >> clemente was a cousin, but like a brother to us, as a young boy my father took him under his wings my father worked with him

and taught him. >> reporter: federal law enforcement officers are investigating the shooting ta possible hate -- as a possible hate crime. >> he thought the black in general as a race was not as good as the white race. >> reporter: while roof is accused of trying to divide there's only been unity after tragedy. roof will be arraigned in a few hours to hear the charges against him. meanwhile, the woman who spotted roof in his car in shelby, north carolina she is being called a hero. once she spotted the unique haircut she called her husband and police tam. >> kenneth we're so glad she saw something and said something, good to see you. people of all faiths are coming together to condemn the

firefighters carried children out of the shop rite and helped elderly customers through the water. the water main was installed in 1895. shop rite is back open, but it could take days or weeks before other stores reopen. detectives are searching for a man who robbed and raped a woman in southwest philadelphia yesterday. the victim was waiting for a bus on 2600 block of 56th street heading to work at 3:00 a.m. the man came up from behind and dragged her into an alley and took her wallet and cash and debit card. rock and roll royalty will be hitting the stage at firefly festival. sir paul mccartney will take the stage at 10:00. organizers expect 90,000 people to established attend. i have seen paul mccartney he

after shooting at george zimmerman. police say he fired a gun into his car during a traffic run-in in orlando last month. zimmerman suffered minor injuries. four people in central pennsylvania could be in hot water after a dip in a hot tub. they were caught on camera trespass they use the hot tub without permission late at night. officers posted the pictures online and social meade reacted. of no word if charges will be filed. >> still ahead on "action news," the woman police say was killed while chase utleying her husband because she was traveling with someone else. why an nfl pro who was a real life story of a movie blind side said he is no fan of that movie.
