and soaking in the sun working on your tan you'll not see that much sunshine. we'll see some on father's day. >> reporter: there's a warm front across the mason dixon line that will activate showers jenkintown you're seeing moisture, same thing with areas northeast of philadelphia. again, nothing too terribly heavy, maybe one or two quick hitting downpours, most of it passing showers, you can see the front here stretching from west to east. the remnants of bill out to the west. we'll zoom into there louisville that counter clockwise swirl. this is the system that slammed houston with five to ten inches of rain. it's making its way slowly to the ohio. that moisture pulls in overnight tonight, in a brings the potential for localized flooding and downpours.

can get the latest on the victims and the shooter at any time. the colorado theater shooter trial will again their defense of their case yesterday. prosecutors argue james holmes was not mentally ill when he opened fire inside a movie theater july 2012 killing 12 and injurying 70 others. prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. holmes has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. philadelphia are searching are to the gunman in a deadly shooting in frankford section. a 50-year-old man was shot in the alley near his home on the 5700 block of leonard street. he managed to stumble home where he collapsed. family members called police, he was taken to the hospital, but later died. there's been change to the

the man accused of gunning down nine people inside a historic black church in south carolina appears in court. the pastor killed in the shooting has family ties in philadelphia who he was planning to visit this summer. plus don't let the weather dampen your plans for father's day. >> reporter: 3:00 a.m., looks like we'll have problems, there's a chance of showers today and tomorrow. we're seeing light rain in parts of the area this morning, for the most part, the main event the main course, if you will that will hold off until tonight. meantime there's the view of the temperature university camera you'll see lots of that, lots of gray skies and high humidity levels and uncomfortable.

that's what bring the downpours to the area overnight. we'll have more on this and what it means for your father's day when i see you in just a bit. >> it was a somber seen in charleston, south carolina thousands gathered for a prayer vigil for the nine people gunned down at the african episcopal church wednesday night. the evening was filled with many powerful moments charleston mayor joseph riley talked about his friendship with clementa pinkney who was killed. he took for granted that pinkney would always be there. he talked about what the community can do to mourn the tragedy, he said first they need to pray and then help. the african-american museum will be dedicated to reverend pinkney

and those victims of the shooting. dylann dylann roof showed no emotion when he appeared before a judge. he is charged with nine counts of murder. he was ordered held on 1 million-dollar bond on a separate gun charge. roof's family said they are devastated and saddened and praying for the victims' families. the nine victims of the tragedy was minister, coaches teachers and librarian and counselor and choir singers. among the murdered was clementa pinkney who has ties to the area. >> reporter: it turns auto the slain pastor of the historic church in charleston was to come here to visit his aunt's church mount enon he feels to speak to the parishners.

the fans signaled for help. the boy was conscious and holding an ice pack on his upper chest and left shoulder when he was taken away. a person was injured in a crash on the boulevard that damaged a fire truck. it began when a car and motorcycle collided in the somebody lanes on -- southbound lanes on the boulevard at ridge avenue a fire truck positioned itself sideways to protect crews on the scene. the tractor-trailer was not able to symptom in time and hit the side of the fire truck. the person in the initial crash was taken to temple university hospital with minor injuries. it was a terrifying morning for a north philadelphia man when his home collapsed around him. howard james was in the second floor bedroom when he heard creeking. all of a sudden a wall came crashing down. of. >> cloud of dust came i put my heads over my head and rolled to

from a maximum security prison. police are searching them and admit the pair could be anywhere. hundreds of officers are focusing their search on the wooded area around the prison near the canadian border. police body cam video out of arkansas shows one of the most brazen aattempts to escape police, officers had used handcuffs and leg irons to restrain her before putting her into a police suv. while police were searching her car she drove off. after a four mile chase she crashed again. she is facing a dozen charges. pennsylvania's job growth reached a record high.
