well good morning, everyone. i'm reena ninan. >> i'm kendis gibson in for t.j. holmes. we'll start with the moving images of solidarity in charleston south carolina. >> as many as 20,000 marchers joined together on the bridge. walking hand in hand in memory of the nine lives cut short. >> a debate over the confederate flag is ranging. more now from abc's kenneth moton. >> reporter: it was a bridge to peace. a massive display of unity across the cooper river in charleston south carolina, all to honor the nine gunned down in their home church of emanuel ame last week. >> i feel inspired. >> let's do it. >> h show here should be contagious and infectious across the nation. there's one race. the human race.

donated money to republicans. >> ted cruz rick santorum and rand paul allegedly received money from the man who heads the group. cruz's campaign says he plans to return the money after learning about the donor's background. moving on to weather. it's severe. moving across the great lakes region this morning. some of the region's biggest cities are in harm's way. as much as six inches in north texas yesterday. >> traffic on some roads came to stand still because drivers were up able to move in any direction. and also in that part of texas, a swollen river washd out this drij, taking an surf along wit. the couple inside said by the time they got close enough to see the bridge had collapsed, it was too late. other drivers threw them a rope and pulled them to safety. the rushing waters underthe bridge undermind its foundation.
