we have work going on on girard avenue, you can see the squeeze on the southbound side. this is the bullevard in east fall also. >> we're starting with breaking news. residents wo forced out -- were forced out of the country commons apartments as a raging fire broke out. the blaze ignited after 1:30 a.m. fire crews got the fire under control in about an hour, the fire was located in the rental office no injuries were reported. as well the saturday morning, the residents are reeling from the storms that tore through on tuesday night. a lot of people are without electricity and people are cleaning up. katherine scott is live in brook

haven, delaware county with more on how that's going, good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam there has been progress but there's a ways to go, crews have been working around the clock they have been working to restore power they've clearing roads and in the meantimes shelters have been set up in delaware county. another big one will be set up today to help residents who don't have any power. >> sounded like a freight train. >> reporter: the storm was intense the damage widespread. thousands are without power and in brook haven hundreds have come to this shelter for food and ice a place to charge their phones. today at 11:00 a.m., ppl park will open its doors for people to eat and shower and cool off. >> we're targeting senior citizens and disabled residents who need assistance in the city.
