coming up at 12:30. our other big story is the massive effort to restore power after tuesday night's storms more than 190,000 customers are without electricity and atlantic city is in the worst shape with more than 100,000 outages, but peco has 52000 customers without power the most being in delaware county that is where "action news" reporter david henry is standing by live. he is live in brookhaven with cleanup efforts there. >> reporter: they are making progress, this house behind me yesterday was barely visible and today the oak tree is mostly gone and the damage has a temporary patch but there is still a lot of recovery work to be done here. many neighborhoods do not have power. still 26000 customers without

electricity in delaware county alone. many have found shelter with friends and family and a number of shelters are open in the county. this morning they opened up ppl park for people that need to cool off and get a shower and get water. brook hafehaven hall remains open as a place to get ice and charge electronic electronics. delaware county remains under an emergency declaration that allows them to get federal and state aid. and this block is back online but it doesn't do much for this homeowner because the house is condemned. >> i can't go in there and my refrigerator and freezer will still run so i can get the food out and get it somewhere else so i can store it. >> the county is bringing in dry

meteorologist david murphy is hire now with a somewhat changing forecast as far as precipitation is concerned. >> we could get showers in the evening and later tonight. for now stormtracker 6 live double scan shows us we are high and dry across the region and still waiting for the clouds to come in from the west as we look outside, it's a fairly sunny morning, the action cam was out at one of the public parks there and the capital of knowledge plenty of sunshine earlier today as clouds filtered in through the rest of the afternoon, the dew point is down there in the 50s and it doesn't feel all that humid and winds are calm currently at the airport and we are looking at a generally light 6 to 12 miles per hour breeze and 78 in read and and 80 in wilmington and 80 in millville, if you are strolling the boards in sea isle city, your current temperature is 80. and east greenwich township

determined that the straight line wind damage was indeed straight line winds and not a tornado and instead they are blaming a macro burst a form of straight line winds that comes when a storm is dumping a lot of rain on the surface and moving along at a strong speed. and in fact we had wind gusts up to 85 miles per hour. that is the estimate based on the damage on the ground and that happened tuesday evening, and it lasted between 5 and 20 minutes, i often tell you it only takes 30 seconds of a gust to grab something and knock it over. looking ahead we have the clouds continuing to build now through the rest of afternoon, not a lot of precipitation and can't rule out spotty shower moving through and it looks like most of the time we are dry and later on in the evening and nighttime hours after 8:00, 9:00, 10:00 we have a better
