week. >> we are tracking a low pressure system that should not have the intensity of what we saw move through. 77 in philadelphia and richmond philadelphia, you can see it on stormtracker 6 live double scan some light showers across the delaware and lehigh valleys, we are tracking this little complex of energy making its way eastward the rest of the tonight and during the overnight hours. future tracker 6 is showling you the bulk of that moisture moving in during midnight and the overnight hours. we'll talk about what to expect with the showers moving on through and we'll be tracking light rain some of which will be steady at times and a strong storm is expected. a quarter to half inch of precipitation and it looks to be wet into the morning commute. coming up future tracker 6 is on

side and we got great shots if you didn't get to see the 2:00 special. >> a sneak poke here. this was built in 192 179 feet long and trains people in deep ocean sailing and long distance education. and karen was aboard here trying to tie knots and 9500 ton replica. and this is phillies own official tall ship, ridgely in portugal and moved here in 1971 and has a strong program. >> here is the a.j. merewald and what is new jersey's official tall ship built in 1928, the big draw here is also the big rubber duck, this is mama duck, she stands 61 feet tall and we got a chance to see the french ship that has ties to our area, it

the philadelphia delegation spent their last day at the vatican and today mayor michael nutter got advice from his counterpart in rome. brian taff is there to wrap up the preparations for september's big event. >> leading up to it so much of the focus is about the excitement of hosting the pope but even before his presence was officially confirmed. officials got hard to work on what remains their biggest concern, his security and the security of millions of

get a refund. >> time for accuweather and another trip to the delaware river lets head back to meteorologist, adam joseph on the camden side of the tall ships festival. the weather held up for the big event adam? >> reporter: i did say i would blame you rick if it rained on us, so you are off the hook, it's been a lot of fun on the battleship new jersey on the camden side. this river is packed some folks have their own boats that came out to look at the tall ships how are you? >> they are enjoying themselves and we have the tall ships that docked on the philadelphia side and they are there for the next three days. you can come out and check it out. we have a cool breeze coming in off the delaware river clouds are in play and 82 degrees and 76 in the lehigh sally and

millville 79 and temperatures in the mid-70s at the shore. as we look at satellite and radar, this complex of showers and thunderstorms that moved away from the delaware and lehigh valley, they are fallen off the radar scope it's a general light rain and cloud cover with it eventually it will turn heavy and future tracker 6 shows until 8:00, spotty showers, but as we speed this up to 11:30 tonight, future tracker shows it will start to fill in with downpours willing and ton philadelphia you could hear a rumble of thunder but not expecting severe weather, and at 8:00 tomorrow morning, we are noticing scattered showers and they move out tomorrow morning and we will have sunshine returning, as we look at the rainfall totals, as we go through the next 12 hours or so about a half inch in philadelphia maybe more in the lehigh valley, and some areas to

the west can you see a .10 inch of rain and in general, a quarter to half inch of rain by tomorrow morning the friday get away, for the city damp in the morning and some sun in the afternoon tomorrow and a lot of cloud cover and a temperature of 80 degrees, morning showers and clouds in the afternoon and 75 in the poconos and it's a mostly cloudy day and 71 degrees with again some showers on the front end of the day. as we look at your four day at 4:00 forecast it will be a damp start to the end of the week here on friday and it turns better and drier in the afternoon and maybe a few peeks of sun and 80 degrees and then on saturday a new system develops it it comes through in the afternoon and evening with a round of heavy rain, 1 to 2 inches and 74 degrees, if that system behaves, and keeps on moving, we should see sunshine developing and much drive on

saturday at 78 and mostly sunny on monday with a temperature of 82 degrees, we are waiting the big mama, rubber duck as part of the the tall ships she was pulling up underneath the walt whitman bridge and taking her sweet time coming up the river and continues to slowly drift on up, you can see the world's largest rubber duck on the camden side over the next three days she is 61 feet tall and weighs 11 tons, that is one big rubber duck, we all had them as kids but she has her own bathtub here in the delaware river, we'll have more coming up and we'll give you a tour of the uss new jersey and look at the ships on the camden side and they have a ferris wheel as well. >> ferris wheel and rubber ducks, a lot of fun down there adam. glad you had a good time. thanks. more ahead we get a sneak peek

"action news" continues. hello again "action news" is back with details about two men that stole an entire atm from a manayunk market the video that police want you to look at. >> and a heated debate over a little girl's body after her family says she was shamed after going shirtless while swimming. >> and it was a frantic race to save her children a mother sprints through a parking lot as a thief takes her car with her two daughters inside of it. what her quick thinking 10-year-old did to save the day.

and a teenager nearly killed by gun fire last month. this is where diamond santiago has been since may 29th she was struck by a stray bullet standing on her porch in port rich monand now her family is asking for help to find those that did this to her. chad pradelli is live now in hunting park. >> diamond santiago's mother says her daughter is fearful and other times depressed but she is also fighting for her life, the mother and police are urging people to come forward with tips. >> i know someone knows something. they have to speak up and help us. >> 13-year-old diamond santiago is in her fourth week in the hospital and endured seven surgeries but her mother's plea is for one one person to come

two girls manage to jump out on to the pavement. >> it was hosh, everybody in the store was crying, the clerks were crying. >> the girls only suffered minor injuries but the suspect is still at large. parents let a little girl play in the water without a top on but at what age does a little girl need to wear a top, that caused controversy for a town in canada after an 8-year-old was told to cover up in a pool. they say they brought their daughter and three sons to swim, during the fun they told their daughter she had to put a shirt on and their daughter felt embarrassed and singled out. the rule is everyone 4 and up have to wear a top. and her mother says that is crazy, saying that the law

delaware expressway. which road is that? it's 95 also known as the delaware expressway, backed up through delaware 452 to the blue route everything is open and a lot of volume 22 minutes to get from the state line up to 476, and a bad crash in montgomery county, a medical chopper is called to the scene an intersection you'll want to avoid and a broken down truck in chester county closing 340 old wilmington road a possibility around that. and still scores of downed trees and wires from tuesday's storms here in east brandywine bonds road is shut down and use bailey road as an alternate and chester county route 1 of baltimore pike, romaines closed for a second day in a row. and this is the scene in camden county again lots of downed wires and traffic lights that

rubber ducky in the bathtub and this is her bathtub for the next three days. all the ships are docked on the philadelphia side and we are docked on the camden side, there you see the ship, it was firing shots it was loud and thunderous, as it pulled by here this afternoon it's docked in philly now and just a couple of ships up you have the u.s. coast guard tall ship with the american flag a beautiful sight, all the masts are taken down as they are docked. some of them will be sailing along the delaware. take a look at double scan live radar, we are looking at the clouds developing all afternoon a few sprinkles around and the heaviest rain holds off through the afternoon hours millville 79th philadelphia 82 and at the shore temperatures are in the mid-70s, as we look at satellite

and radar we have the large area of downpours and thunderstorms almost an mcs like a mezo scale complex pulling through pennsylvania, at 9:00 showers around trenton and more potent storms could develop near dover but it's not until 1:00 a.m. when we see the showers while we are sleeping and left over showers tomorrow morning before the showers move off the coast at noon, we have low pressure off the mid-atlantic tomorrow and 80 degrees with the rain in the morning giving way to peeks of sun in the afternoon and then a more potent new low pressure develops from west virginia and sloids through southeastern ohio and the warm front is to the south and we get a lot of precipitation to break out north of that front and late in the afternoon and overnight we'll see a soaker here 1 to 2 inches
