hours but it won't be anything like the devastating storms that hit us on tuesday fortunately. meteorologist, melissa magee tracking the storms. >> right now we are tracking light precipitation and light rainfall, mainly for the city and points to the north and west. we'll show you stormtracker 6 live double scan, you can see the light rain for the city the 95 corridor and across our western suburbs in pennsylvania and we go tighter to street level and you can see rain along the i-95 corridor pressing into media and if you are traveling along route 3 south of malvern moving into pottstown and honey brock, we are dealing with light but steady moisture. we'll show you the temperatures however the moisture is moving on it it's pretty comfortable, most spots are in the 70s and the poconos 71 degrees and the poconos and lehigh valley, in sea isle city.

situation is the same in south jersey, lets go live no vernon odom in east greenwich township with an update there. >> reporter: good evening monica, 48 hours of no power is fast becoming a headache and nuisance, this red cross center is closing down at this hour as you can see behind me. that is the time set for today and it represents salvation for hundreds of people. red cross officials say that at least 250 storm victims have received service at this emergency operation center today. at least 250 were through here today and the need is still here. folks in this neck of the woods are some of the many thousands here in south jersey that are without you power for 48 hours. >> i just got back from vacation and i went food shopping and all the groceries i just bought are sitting in the refrigerator going bad and my husband called

liberty mutual and it's not covered. >> can't cook, can't see i have to work tomorrow so i have to call and see how we are going to do this. >> they have food water and cell phone charging stations. >> we when to the acme and the mcdonald's to try to get something to eat. the acme the shelves were bare and the mcdonald's was closed this is great we have a little something to eat here. >> the storm blew through here in 20 minutes and did a lot of damage to the south jersey communities but this center is not just open for residents but for anybody across the area. >> we feel the weather is okay after 6:00 and everyone wants to be home in their homes and the need is not great after 6:00.

direction looking at stormtracker 6 live double scan it's over at the i-95 corridor to points north and west and areas in and around philadelphia, if you are traveling down to wilmington and west to jenkintown along i-476 at norristown and media a cluster of steady and light moisture across areas in lancaster you can see north and east of route 30 and honey brook, we are tracking the moisture a moderate pocket east of reading be expect the moisture to continue as we go throughout the rest of the evening hours and the rest of the day on friday talking about the highlights today you'll need to grab the umbrella before you step outside, all the moisture we are expecting with the weak system moving on through, future tracker 6 showing you the bulk of the

heavy rain moving in and it's mainly for the areas south of philadelphia and extreme south delaware you'll fine an extreme shower. and a quarter to half inch of rainfall is on the way and you can see that during the overfight hours a half inch in wildwood more than a quarter inch into millville. as far as the temperatures, it wane a bad day, the high in philadelphia 84 degrees and most spots are in the 70s, and 79 in the city and same thing in allentown and the lehigh valley and here is satellite 6 along with action radar you can see the moisture we are tracking, it has energy with it over the ohio valley but as it travels east of the appalachians a lot of that precipitation starts to fall apart and you'll notice with the severe thunderstorm watching well south of our region across virginia and also north carolina that is where the severe thunderstorm watch will stay for the rest of evening.

as far as what to expect as we close out the work week on friday we are tracking the ripple of energy that moves through tonight into friday and some moisture can be around tomorrow morning otherwise we get a few sunny breaks if the afternoon with a high temperature coming in at 80 degrees, on saturday get ready for an afternoon and evening soaking on the way with another piece of energy that moves on through and a cooler day for the start of the weekend and a cool 74, an inch to 2 inches on the way, mostly cloudy and a high temperature of 71 and rainy and high of 73 and sunday 66 the ocean temperature down the shore 72 degrees and tomorrow we are tracking the morning showers, high of 75 and breezy and wet on saturday and 74 and clouds and sunshine. here is the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, a damp start tomorrow high of 80 degrees and heavy afternoon rain on saturday and 74 we'll get
