>> reporter: i called it for showers east of the region and a couple of in south jersey they are light and won't be there much longer. after that we're looking at a mainly cloudy day with sunny breaks and humid. 69 in philadelphia. 63 in allentown. not a bad temperature there to start out. 63 in reading. 67 in wilmington and 69 degrees in sea isle and up the coast in ac. heading out to catch the work bus, used say school bus but that's over. 68 to 69. 71 by 9:00 a.m. noon, 80. 3:00 p.m., 83 degrees, by 6:00 p.m. we're back down to 77 degrees, again a little bit muggy, dry chance of a spotty shower, i don't think mof -- most of you won't have to worry about that. we'll have rain on saturday, i'll talk about that coming up.

pearl crossroad, 73 near atrium way, crop well road is just to name a few. >> a violent video shows a group of teens beating a high school student that went viral when the police and the public stepped in refusing to let this slide. katherine scott is live outside mlk high school in germantown, good morning katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam that's right somebody brought the video to the school's attention, the school worked with police to identify the five people involved. the attack happened about 3 blocks away from hear, the victim suffered concussion and needed stitches and had major dental injuries. video of the attack on the 17-year-old martin luther king was posted all over social media, the suspects were bragging about it. laughing in the background, the victim is hit in the mouth, some of his teeth were knocked out. >> kid was an innocent person he had done nothing to anybody. >> reporter: this happened on june 4th on the 6500 block of north wis atter street. he is trying to protectments from the blows. >> we have onlookers nobody is assisting or rendering any aid. >> reporter: 18-year-old german baston and juveniles were arrested. >> it made my stomach turn. >> else so defenseless and sitting there by himself, and you got five guys beating up on him. i'm glad they found all five of them. >> reporter: all five have been charged with act -- aggravated assault and recklessly

69 degrees by 8:00 a.m. 77 by 11:00. we spend the afternoon in the low 80s with the 83-degree high at 3:00 p.m. phillies washington nationals coming to town for a three game set lots of clouds, humid temperatures are not too bad, 76 for the first pitch, 7 on in the 9th inning, no need for heavy gear tonight obviously. as we head into saturday, a wave of low pressure will come at us from the west, during the afternoon there's a chance of rain arriving, that continues up until 9:00. this latest model run which came out is expressing this to the west a little bit and holding off the heaviest rain until tonight. there has been recent model runs that bring the rain in faster. expect the afternoon to be potentially wet and by later afternoon and evening we could be looking at heavy downpours we have to wait and see how the thing evolves.

in any event it looks like rain overnight tonight into sunday morning and there could flash flooding issues saturday night into sunday morning, because of the heavy rain. we are expecting quick drying on sunday. breezy and rainy at the shore 78, clouds and sun on sunday. a better overall day on sunday at the shore. in philadelphia, mostly cloudy, 83. cooler with the rain arriving during the day getting heavier at times during the the night. there could rain on sunday, otherwise it's mostly cloudy, 77 mainly dry there might be an instability pop-up shower or thunderstorm on sunday. most of the day should be dry and overall a better day than saturday. monday, we get a day under the sun and tuesday, warm and humid and warm on wednesday. >> a young mother and her infant son were found four days

was a little chill, a little breeze when i stepped out today. so nice compared to a few days ago. >> not quite the humidity we saw two days ago. >> reporter: it was nice when you step outside today it will be warm and humid. let's hit the roads and show you what it looks like in conshohocken, montgomery county, blue route past the schuylkill expressway no problems, no delays we're drying out after a little rain moved through. no big issues right there. i think the biggest issue is downed policy, downed wires causing an issue. bondsville road is blocked between fisher road and bailey road. in gloucester county an area that was hit so hard, route 45, woodstown road closed between spicer street and wood duck drive. stick to commissioner road.

columbia. now what they would do, they would strike washington, d.c. down to the white house the capitol and the mall. they will turn the city into the state of columbia, it would have more residents than wyoming or vermont. it's often been a local movement. it will be interesting to see what happens when it's coming from a lawmaker of a different state. condoning divorce the pope sets the stage for another round of debate on a hot-button issue in the catholic church. a vernon new jersey transit bus driver would not allow his service dog to travel with him. that story when "action news" comes right back.
