27th street with the details. >> reporter: good morning, tam these two shootings happened about 2 hours apart about a mile 1/2 from each other the one that happened, a 29-year-old woman was driving her car when she was hit by a bullet. police believe she was caught in the middle of a gun battle. camden county police remain on the scene you can see the car she was driving. it has the headlights on parked on the sidewalk crashed under the investigation. this happened after 1:30 on the 200 block of south 27th street. she was driving through the intersection at benson when she was hit in the back, she lost control of the car and the car crashed. she was rushed to cooper university hospital in critical condition. police took a man into custody on the scene and they located the other suspect when he showed up at kennedy hospital with with a gunshot wound in the shoulder. she remains in critical

condition. police believe she was caught in the crossfire. at 11:30 an unmarked police car was shot while on patrol at park boulevard at had don -- haddon avenue. glass shattered and hit the camden county officer. the officer was taken to cooper and treated for cuts. at this point there's no word on who fired the shots but police want to hear from you if you have information in either of these cases. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> happening today, crews will continue their search for a missing swimmer in gloucester county, new jersey official officials say a man was swimming in a quarry on the 4600 block of jackson road in monroe township and never reassure faced. rescue cruise plan to resume the search at 7:00.

homicide detectives continue to solve the murder case of regina runner holmes. "action news" spoke to her children. they told annie mccormick they are ready to forgive the person who killed her earlier this week. >> reporter: 85-year-old regina holmes death was a 1980 from the type of life he had led. she was found with her throat slit and beaten to death. the car was discovered in north philadelphia. detectives believe robbery was the motive. >> the people who murdered our mom, treated an 85-year-old frail woman like she was a sack of beans and man handled her body like she was an object. everything she did in her life is what would she and what she wanted to do with life.

>> reporter: holmes' two sons sat down and wanted to bring attention to the crimes against the elderly. >> we feel sorry for for the people something must have happened to make their hearts so cold. they need to be capture. >> reporter: her whole life she looked out for the underdog and participated in the civil rights movement. now her son is asking anyone who knows any information look out for her. >> they took her death but they didn't take her life away. >> reporter: philadelphia police is working around the clock as for any homicide in the city of philadelphia, if you have any information that leads to an arrest you could get a 20,000-dollar reward, call

215-546-tips. reporting outside of police headquarters, annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." >> three teen girls are on the menld in the hospital after being hit by a car in newark, delaware. new castle county authorities say two vehicles collided at kirkwood highway and darwin drive yesterday. one vehicle went off the road on the sidewalk and struck the girls. the teen and the 88-year-old driver were taken to the hospital. comedian bill cosby will not face charges that he sexually assaulted a woman in atlantic city city. former actress lily bernard said cosby drugged and raped her. a california court has ruled that cosby has to answer to another accuser who claims cosby molested her when she was 15 years old. plans are underway for u.s.
