gathered at a mall. people may not be able to return to their homes for 24 or maybe 48 hours. developing overnight flying bullets hit two separate cars in camden. a police officer and woman have been hurt. let's go over to "action news" reporter, katherine scott live along south 27th street with the details. good morning katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam yeah these shootings happened about two hours apart from each other. the 29-year-old woman was caught in the middle of a gun battle as she was driving through. it happened down the block but police have cleared the scene and opened up the road. let's go to video of the car right before it was towed. you can see bullet holes in the side of the car and the damage from where the car crashed into a utility pole. the woman was driving through the intersection at benson when she was hit in the back and caught in the crossfire lost

control of the car and crashed. she was rushed to cooper university hospital in critical condition. police took a man into custody on the scene and located the other suspect when he showed up at kennedy hospital in cherry hill with a gunshot wound in his shoulder. neighbors woke up to the sound of the bullet. >> i was laying down about a sleep or whatever, i heard all this noise or whatever, gun shots and what not. >> reporter: how many gunshots? >> i heard pop pop pop pop pop pop pop seemed like a lot of them. >> reporter: in a second incident two hours prior to that one an unmarked police car was shot at while on patrol park boulevard at haddon avenue. bullets hit the drivers side rear door, glass shattered and hit the camden county metro officer. the bullets missed him by inches. the officer was taken to cooper and treated for cuts and

released. at this point there's no word on who fired those shots. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." of the. >> thank you for that. and the search resumes for a missing swimmer the fear is that he drowned in a new jersey lake. chopper 6 was over the quarry. a man in his 20s was swimming with three other people when he didn't reassure face. >> we are at the big board with more on the murder of regina brunner-holmes in her east mount airy home three days ago. her son talked about their elderly mother and the manhunt for her killer. homicide detectives do not have a suspect but they believe robbery was the motive. the 85-year-old was found dead in her home, badly beaten with a slit throat. police recovered her stolen car the next day. she was active in the community and advocate for civic causes.

her sons want to bring awareness for crimes against the elderly and their tendency to trust others. >> she did everything to help others. the people who murdered our mom treated an 85-year-old frail woman like she was a sack of beans and man handled her body like she was an object. >> homicide detectives continue to search for her killer. >> reporter: three teenage girls are recovering from a car crash in delaware. drivers truck the teens in newark after two cars collided at kirkwood highway at darwin drive. the crash shoved a vehicle up on the sidewalk where they were standing. one of the drivers an 88-year-old was taken to the hospital. the driver of the other car declined medical treatment. >> 6:36 new this morning the

in white hall township it was a micro burst, not a thunderstorm. you remember was a macro burst that caused the damage in new jersey. it's the same thing it's just a difference in size, the micro burst was 2.5 miles wide. shorter than five minutes didn't take long to produce all the damage. future tracker 6 shows all the clouds increasing, by 11:00 to 12 we'll see showers and programs, a thunderstorm. can't rule out something coming farther north to philadelphia. the model has something in the vicinity of i-95 corridor around 2:30 3:00 p.m. most of us this will be south of us, and 6:00 p.m. it will be pushing off the coast. 72 by 8:00 a.m. hazy sunshine. 81 by 11:00. 83 by 3 the clouds get thicker
