robber intended. there was gunfire that left two people dead, including the suspected robber. katherine scott is live at the on going scene in nicetown. >> reporter: investigators are trying to work out the details but they believe this is a quad droople owe two people died and two are in stable condition. officers remain on the scene homicide detectives, the crime scene unit there's a lot of evidence markers that could signify bullets or bullet fragments. bullets hit a home and multiple cars, a lot of gunfire in the neighborhood of tie ago ga nicetown. it happened around 2:30 a.m. police believe the people stopped the people on the 1900 block of juniata street. someone in the group had an assault rifle and exchanged

gunfire. the robber was hit and radio tried to to get away and ran down the bruiner street and died. another man was shot in the torso and passed away, as well. the crime scene unit and homicide detectives are on the scene as police try to piece together what happened. >> unfortunately right now i don't see any surveillance cameras. oarnl -- other than the victims we don't have any other victims until we canvass the area. we'll do our due diligence. >> reporter: juniata is closed off and bruiner street, as well. police believe there are more people involved. they believe there were multiple people here that have left the scene and hoping to talk to them at is at some point. live in tioga nicetown, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> a few hours earlier a man

was shot walking down a philadelphia street on the 2100 block of west hunting park avenue at 12:30 a.m. the man in his 20s was shot in the groin he managed to walk himself walt's devil island bar and someone called a ambulance. there's no word on a suspect or motive. developing now a toxic cloud of smoke hovering above a tennessee town following the train derailment is starting to subside. five thousand people remain out of their happies in maryville this morning. the csx freight train crashed. dozens are being treated for respiratory issues. they are not drinking the tap water. a two-alarm blaze broke out inside an industrial buildings

welcome america events, the first ever liberty block party gets underway at 5th and 6th street at market and chestnut will be shut down. later the philly pops perform an free concert at independence mall. that starts at 8:00 p.m. 6abc is part of a wawa welcome make a sell briggs, tam and i kick off the celebration of the independence freedom ceremony and the parade. tune in for the 4th of july jam on the parkway tomorrow night. rick williams and cesily tynan hosts the coverage along with karen rogers and adam joseph. the concert begins at 7:00 followed by the fireworks display at the museum of art. >> it's special to be there where the nation was born, the question is whether they are coming out tomorrow morning or tomorrow night, what can they expect with the weather. >> reporter: tomorrow night is looking okay, but there looks to be showers around in the southern half of the region

during the day tomorrow, unfortunately. storm tracker 6 live double scan shows you we are dry for your friday. of course today is the beginning of the holiday weekend for a lot of you. looks like it's a great start. we have the moon outside on sky 6, we'll see the sun before we transition to partly sunny skies later on. 63 in wilmington, 62 in allentown. it might be humid across the region from philadelphia to the shore. not too bad with temperatures of 66 on the boardwalks. the overnight cloud cover cleared out. we'll see early sunshine and it is possible we'll see clouds filtering in. looks like it will be cloudier to the south and the north overall we'll go partly sunny allentown, high of 80. warm comfortable, down the shore today look out for rip currents one more time in the water, otherwise it will be nice, high of 678 degrees in

philadelphia we'll go for a high high of 83. partly sunny warm, maybe a little bit humid, but not too bad. winds out of the northeast at 6 to 12 miles per hour. we'll start out at 70 at 8:00. 79 at 8:00. 83-degree high hitting at 3:00 p.m. tomorrow, there's going to be a wave of low pressure riding along a front to our south. it will start to pull off the coast as we go through the day but the wrap around flow around it will give us clouds and probably suppress the high to 75 degrees the way things are looking now for the 4th. there's a chance of wrap around scattered showers with the system. as we take a look at future tracker 6 we'll track that for you, the latest run this is just in on the model shows sprinkles around early but the bigger issue will be in the afternoon or late morning as some showers maybe thunderstorms start to build up into the region, most of the heavier stuff down closer to the low by the shore but by 2:00 in the afternoon some of it

might be up as far as philadelphia. the farther north you go through the region, the better chance you have of remaining dry. it looks like the stuffer will get out of here by dinnertime or so, that means the fireworks will be okay. the fireworks in philadelphia. we'll go cloudy, but dry, 77 at 7:00 p.m. 72 11:00 p.m. the concert on the parkway if this works out will be dry. i would keep my eye on the forecast if you're heading out for the fireworks to make sure that cleared out. at the shore moderate chance of rip currents possible today. saturday not great, clouds and showers, 74 is the high, sunday at the shore 78 degrees and we rebound to partly sunny skies in philadelphia, 83 today no problems, there could be a shower or thunderstorm late tonight. clouds and showers at times on saturday, 75. hopefully dry for fireworks

extension a vehicle stopped on the shoulder in south white hall. matt and tam. >> two news crews became the big story after they were held up at gunpoint during a live report. they are covering a deadly shooting along pier 14 in san francisco. an armed man approached the photographer and pointed the gun. another crew intervened. the other photographer was pistol whipped. they grabbed the camera and jumped into a getaway car. the attack was a string of incidents on news crews in the bay area. a collarful scene of soaring hot air balloon turned tragic in utah. the balloons were rising 1200 feet in the air when a flying pig was hit by another balloon. luckily the pilot was able to make an emergency landing. he suffered only minor injuries. >> triple crown winner american
