park with the latest. trish. >> reporter: nydia and eva police say it happened at walgreens at north broad and hunting park avenue. a 17-year-old girl was found in the parking lot with a stab wound to the neck. she was pronounced dead at einstein. family and friends of the 17-year-old victim are searching for answers. christopher gardener said he found out his daughter's mother was killed this morning. gardener said he and the victim have a 2-year-old daughter and designed her as a good person and dedicated student and mother. >> she was cool, young smart great mom. >> police say a passer by flagged down a patrol car reporting a teenager lying in the parking lot with a stab wound to the neck. she was pronounced at the hospital. family members and neighbors can't believe she is gone and

wonders why she was out so early in the morning. >> my niece is a nice girl, she is no fighter she went out and a fight broke out and the end result she got stabbed for what reason i don't know. >> she was a good person, she was laid back, she'd take care of her daughter. she never been under nobody, beyond how this happened. >> now the manager of the walgreens says police are reviewing surveillance video from the parking lot, if you saw or heard anything early this morning, merchandise detectives would like to hear from you. trish hartman, channel 6 "action news." >> memorial services are being held for regina brunner-holmes, the victim of the grizzly killing in east mount airy. yesterday, philadelphia police made an arrest in connection with the 85-year-old murder. the suspect is leroy where i will son formally charged with

the stab be death and being held without bail. police say wilson was known in the neighborhood as a handyman and had done work for the victim. officer say regina brunner-holmes let wilson into her home and apparently confronted him after stealing something, he beat her and slashed her float. >> the action cam was on the scene of the 5100 block of north front street in olney. officers found 33 bullet casings in the area and 2015 car riddled with bullet holes. police found a 21-year-old man in the back seat shot in the head. the 21-year-old driving the car was shot in the leg and foot while jumping out and making a run for it. he is in the hospital in stable condition. so far there are no arrests. firefighters had to rescue 6 people after a rental home in

ocean city caught fire. the action cam was on the scene in the 900 block of saint charles place near the ocean city boardwalk. officials say the blaze broke out on the the first floor of the home. crews had to rescue 6 people from the second and third floor balconies. 6 people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. it's not clear what sparked the fire. we have breaking news from i-95 in eddystone, delaware county. the northbound lanes of the highway near the blue route are shut down because of an accident involving a tractor-trailer and two vehicles. the people in the vehicles have escaped with minor injuries, but one of the fuel tanks on the big rig ruptured spilling gas all over the highway. they have sprayed foam on the gas, they are waiting for a special truck to come and clean up the fuel stay with 6abc.com for breaking news as it becomes

it's quiet outer there there's not much to talk about other than this right here, which is the outer edges of an upper level low that will be drifting toward us the next few days, this afternoon low 60s that's slightly humid but not too bad. we get into tomorrow afternoon and all of a sudden we're in the low to mid 70s by tomorrow. it gets worse tuesday afternoon and wednesday. the numbers are replaced with mid 70s, this is about as high as the dew points will get in this part of the country when we scale it at the top. it will be oppressive, monday, tuesday and wednesday that will lead to showers and thunderstorms each and everyday, the pop up type of storms. not everybody will see them, but those who do crowley -- you'll get drenching downpours and gusty winds.

victim's family. >> "action news" reporter, trish hartman is live with more. >> reporter: police are investigating the deadly stabbing that happened in the parking lot of the walgreens at north broad and hunting park avenue. a 17-year-old girl was found with a stab wound to the neck and pronounced at einstein. people said they were sadden to find out the victim was so outcome. as police investigate the stabbing of a 17-year-old girl, folks in hunting park watched the detectives work. >> we woke up and saw the police and saw the "action news" truck and people around and we said what's going on, we came downstairs and found out that the poor young lady has been killed. >> i'm upset because i don't believe it would happen near the walgreens, i can't believe it. >> police say a passer by

city's port richmond section. it happened after 1:00 a.m. a 43-year-old man was hit in the which he is -- in the chest and neck, he died at the scene. no word on a suspect or motive. this shooting happened around 10:30 in camden near broad street. a man in his 30s was shot multiple times he was rushed to cooper university hospital where he died. north wildwood police recovered a body near where a teenager disappeared june 30th. police believe the body matches the description. 16-year-old boy who was seen struggling in the water on june 30th. official confirmation of the identity of the remains has not been made. many drought-ridden communities in california outlawed fireworks but that didn't stop someone in sack

complicated. >> it's not just my story, it's her, too. >> reporter: heather only knows part of the story one that her adopted mother began telling her when she was 15. >> she told me, she was crying and there was a little girl left outside a hospital and that you. >> reporter: the hospital was grand view and the staff received an anonymous phone call that the infant was left outside the er wrapped in this red sweatshirt. she was nursed back to health. heather's mother was nervous to share the story but heather's reaction at 15 was unexpected. >> cool, i was on television? >> reporter: as heather entered her adult years birthday were clouded by sadness. her mother suggested she try to find the woman who gave birth to her. >> would i be a little threatened honestly, sure.
