with matt filling in for karen and david has accuweather. >> reporter: we have showers creeping up from the south. at wide view showed shows the clouds and rain. doesn't look like a whole lot of shower activity, as we get into the after a chance of a shower and maybe a thunderstorm popping up. 72 degrees right now in philadelphia. 66 in allentown, 69 in trenton. 72 in wilmington, mid 70s along the boardwalks. it is humid this morning but with the clouds as thick as they are, doesn't feel too bad just yet until you start walking around and getting the sun through. 8:00 a.m., 75. we expect clouds mixing with sunny greats -- breaks. 86 by 4:00 p.m. through the day a pop-up shower or thunderstorm in a couple of spots you want to take cover from any storms because of the threat of lightning. how long does the warm and humid pattern last i'll answer that in

the seven-day forecast. >> reporter: all right david with good memories of barbecues and parades an fireworks and time at the shore we head back to work on this monday morning. we are expecting extra traffic on the garden state parkway and the atlantic city expressway and 42 as people make the trek back from the shorepoints. northbound traffic on 42 heading toward 295 is moving all right at this point. we have no southbound delays on i-95 heading toward cottman avenue. in the great northeast traffic is moving along at a good clip. farther south we have a broken down vehicle that has cleared out. the vine street expressway, the a few people are trying to stack on the off ramp. of the traffic on # 6 is moving well. the vine is opened because of no construction because of the holiday weekend. crews return tonight and close the vine trees expressway

especially new castle county delaware down around smyrna picking up a little bit of a shower there, as well. as we look outside, we have sky 6. there you see the clouds overhead. a little bit of bright patch developing here and there over the bridge. generally speaking on the cloudy side to start out. we're going with warm numbers to begin, too. 72 degrees in philadelphia. 69 in trenton. 72 in wilmington. mid 70s up and down the boardwalks. up in allentown we're at 66 degrees, everybody dealing with low humidity especially if you're walking around and getting active out there. in terms of rain future tracker 6 is not selling a whole lot in the morning there's a pop-up shower. as we get in the afternoon there's a better chance of a shower or thunderstorm welling up especially in delaware or areas west of philadelphia. as we continue this into the evening hours spotty shower and thunderstorm activity. not a washout today by any means, warm and humid where you get a shower we could see a
