police are checking into reports of gunfire at walter reid medical center in maryland. someone called 911 reported hearing one shot inside a building on the campus in bethesda. workers are currently sheltering in place. we're following breaking news out of new jersey. state police have issued an amber alert for a missing baby. they say 9-month-old william marino junior was taken at knifepoint by his father. it happened in new brunswick middlesex county. the childhood on the right side of the screen was last seen wearing a yellow shirt khaki pants and black sneakers. anyone with information is asked to call 911. we'll keep you updated throughout the day and 6abc.com. turning to the accuweather forecast on a warm and very humid monday let's get the latest conditions from david murphy at the "action news" big

while inside he robbed a 35-year-old man and took his iphone and stabbed him in the stomach. he was taken to the hospital in serious condition. police are looking for that suspect. a taxi fire shut down the platt bridge for two hours in southwest philadelphia, the cab caught fire just before 1:00 a.m. the bridge was closed in both directions while crews doused the flames, all lanes reopened after 2:30 a.m. a race car driver was able to walk away from an early morning wreck that sent his car airborne into a fence austin dillon's car was torn in half. he escaped with minor injuries, but fans were hurt by the flying debris. that's raising new questions about crowd safety. kenneth moten has the story. >> reporter: it wassen -- it was an incredible crash near turn

one, austin dillon's car was obliterated. the 200-mile an hour late night crash sent debris into the stands injuring spectators. >> the catch fence was just gone. there was a huge hole, i've seen cars it before, but not like that. >> you're holding on trying to get through it to race again. >> reporter: 13 fans evaluated one taken to the hospital. the crash came seconds after dale earnhardt junior crossed the finish line to win the rain-delayed race. the scene was particularly tougher for earnhardt who lost his father earnhardt senior on the same track 2001. the speed track going to analyzed the collision to enhance safety. >> we're going to analyze it, and get better.

repeatedly sneaked back into the u.s., but san francisco is a safe haven city one that does not detain immigrants here i illegally. illegal fireworks sparked three fires over the weekend. the first blaze caused three million dollars worth of damage to warehouses in south l.a. investigators found fireworks debris at the scene. witnesses say they saw them shooting fireworks at mattresses on saturday night. they are looking into whether illegal fireworks started two wildfires that threatened homes and burned cars in northern california. a maryland woman has been charged with child neglect after her baby was left on the side of the road. a neighbor found the abandoned 3-month-old girl on saturday. she was sitting in an infant car seat covered in scuff marks police believe it may have fallen from a moving car. sandra mcclary came forward after she saw the baby's
